Filing For Divorce

When Mo Roulan woke up again, she was feeling much better.  1

The events from yesterday were still fresh in her mind but she tried her best not to think about all those things.

She got down from the bed, drank some water and after washing her face, she stepped out of her room. 

Her body was slightly sore perhaps because she kept resting for the past few days. So she decided to take a walk outside. She also wanted to have some fresh air after whatever happened in the past few days. 

Outside the hotel, Mo Roulan strolled in a street as she thought what she would do next. 

Legally, she was indeed married to He Jian. Although Chi Rong said that he would do something, what could he do if He Jian refused to divorce her?

Just when she was thinking, someone suddenly held her arm startling her. Mo Roulan frowned at the woman who looked somewhat excited to see her.

"You …you are the same girl in this video, right?"

Mo Roulan's frown went deeper in confusion and she looked at the video the woman was showing her. 

Her eyes went wide when she realized that the video was of the time when He Jian had carried her in bridal style inside marriage bureau. 

Did it go viral just like her past life? 

Mo Roulan freed her arm from the woman's hold and ran inside the hotel hurriedly. She felt so panicked that she ran to Chi Romg's room and knocked on the door. 

Chi Rong opened the door a few moments later and was concerned when he saw Mo Roulan's pale face. 

"Roulan, what happened?"

"Dad, they all know…that I am married to him."

Chi Rong frowned in confusion but before asking her anything, he held her arm and pulled her inside the room.

Mo Roulan saw that there was another man inside the room. She recognized the man as Chi Romg's lawyer. She had met this man when Chi Rong had talked to him about her mother and Wang Weimin's divorce case. 

The man nodded at Mo Roulan with a smile and Mo Roulan did the same but she didn't smile as she was still feeling very anxious. 

Chi Rong made her sit on the bed and asked gently.

"Now tell me, what happened?"

"Can I get your phone, Dad?"

Mo Roulan asked in return and Chi Rong nodded his head as he pointed to the bedside table. Mo Roulan picked Chi Rong's phone from there. Chi Rong unlocked it for her and Mo Roulan immediately went to the browser. 

Seeing the trending videos, she played it and immediately saw herself and He Jian in the video. 

Chi Rong's face went somber when he saw the video playing on his phone. But he composed himself soon and snatched the phone from Mo Roulan's hands as he said 

"It's nothing to worry about. You should rest. Did I not tell you that I will handle everything?"

Mo Roulan looked at Chi Rong knowing that he was trying to comfort her. But it was not the time to do so. 

She looked at his lawyer and then back at him before she asked 

"Did Dad call uncle to find a way out of this situation?"

Chi Rong nodded his head realizing that Mo Roulan was not going to leave. 

The lawyer's name was Wen Xuan. He still had a calm smile on his lips as he looked at Mo Roulan who was looking at him.

"Uncle Wen, how can I divorce him as soon as possible?"

Wen Xuan was silent for a moment before he said 

"We need a proof to claim that he abducted you and married you forcefully. If we found such a proof then there won't be any problem in getting divorce."

"This video…it can be used, right?"

Chi Rong said immediately as he passed the phone to Wen Xuan. Wen Xuan watched the video and frowned as he said 

"It doesn't show that Mo Roulan was unwilling and yet He Jian is carrying her inside the marriage bureau forcefully."

Mo Roulan already knew this. 

The video had captured only those few moments where she was still trying to understand what was going on and where was He Jian taking her. If it was slightly longer then Mo Roulan was sure that it would have what Wen Xuan wanted for winning the case.

"We can ask Cheng Yang to be a witness from our side."

Chi Rong said again and this time Wen Xuan nodded his head after some thought. 

"We can try that."

Hence, Chi Rong immediately called Cheng Yang and talked to him. 

Cheng Yang was already concerned about Mo Roulan and asked Chi Rong about her. He had been trying to call Mo Roulan but Mo Roulan didn't pick his call.

So he could only ask Chi Rong about her.

Cheng Yang was relieved to know that Mo Roulan was alright. After coming to know that, he needed to be a witness against He Jian, he agreed readily.

After talking to Cheng Yang, Chi Rong sent Mo Roulan back to her room and strictly asked her to rest though she said that she was alright. 

After that, he returned to his own room. 

Wen Xuan was still seated there and said to Chi Rong.

"Actually, we don't have any evidence except Cheng Yang's words. So I am not sure that we will be strong in the case."

Chi Rong's frowned and said 

"I can try to check if there was any CCTV camera in that street where He Jian punched Cheng Yang."

Chi Rong has been told by Cheng Yang about He Jian taking Mo Roulan away. He had been so worried when Mo Roulan had not come and she was also not picking his calls.

Wen Xuan nodded his head. 

"Yes, it can help us a lot if we can find it and present."

Chi Rong nodded his head. 

It was the only way and he would not step back.
