He Zhuang's Questions
The car stopped outside He Mansion.
The driver informed Ji Zhen who looked at Mo Roulan with a smile. Mo Roulan smiled back and asked politely
"Would Ma'am like to come with me?"
Mo Roulan was actually hesitant.
It was not her home apparently. Fortunately, Ji Zhen only smiled politely and declined the offer.
As she saw Mo Roulan entering the mansion gates a few moments later, the smile on Ji Zhen's face vanished.
She looked at the huge mansion with a forlorn look in her eyes for a few moments before she finally asked the driver to drive the car to her own home.
The mansion used to her home years ago but now it was not.
It only gave her bitter memories that she didn't want to remember.
In fact, she would have never come back to China if her son had not called her. Knowing what kind of blunder her grandson was making in his love life, Ji Zhen couldn't sit silent.
She already regretted that she was not by her son's side when he was suffering from the fate of being alone…when he was abandoned by the woman he loved.
This time, Ji Zhen didn't want the same to happen to her grandson.
She knew that He Jian couldn't do it right on his own. Her grandson thought emotionally very less and practically more.
Since he liked Mo Roulan and knew that the girl liked him as well, he just married her even if he had to do it forcefully.
Ji Zhen knew that what He Jian did was wrong but she could only help him win Mo Roulan's heart again.
And Mo Roulan seemed to be a nice girl till now. She couldn't say about the future yet.
She already knew why Mo Roulan left her grandson but she actually blamed Mo Roulan for that to some extent.
If a girl like Shen Yiling harmed Mo Roulan's mother for He Jian, then what was He Jian's fault in that?
Why was her grandson getting punishment for something he never did?
But at the same time, she could understand Mo Roulan's fears. She was just He Jian's girlfriend back then and that too in secret when all that happened.
The girl must have felt scared to imagine what it would be like if it came out.
After all, becoming a part of a rich family like He didn't come with fortunes only. People are ready to notch down you and see your humiliation so that they can take your place.
Ji Zhen herself had experienced that.
She sighed as she closed her eyes.
There was a lot to do.
She needed to work not only on her grandson but on Mo Roulan as well.

When Mo Roulan entered the living room, she flinched on hearing the loud shouts.
Looking towards Grandfather He, she couldn't help but raise her eyebrows in shock seeing how furiously he was talking on the phone.
"You promised me that you will return today. How can you go back on your words now!"
Only god knew what the other person said because Grandfather He's face went redder as he shouted more loudly.
"Who is missing you! Don't come back ever. I am not talking to you."
After that the old man threw down the phone fortunately on the sofa before he walked away to his room while muttering something to himself.
"He was talking to Butler Zhang."
Mo Roulan jumped when she heard the sudden voice and was more surprised than before to see He Zhuang walking towards her.
She had never talked to He Zhuang face to face before.
Seeing that he was still standing in front of her, she nodded her head at his previous words.
After that, she decided to leave from there.
However, she had taken only a step when He Zhuang spoke up again
"I had wanted to ask you always…."
Mo Roulan frowned at the incomplete words and looked at him waiting for him to continue which he did after a pause.
"What did Jian do wrong that you broke up with him two years ago?"
The question made Mo Roulan stiffen for a moment.
What did He Jian do wrong?
She didn't really have an answer.
But only had her own questions in return.
"What wrong my mother did to get humiliated by a girl and her family who is crazy behind him? What wrong I did to spend a night in prison for helping someone and saving her from a toxic thing like drugs?"
And what did she do wrong in her past life? She just loved him.
It was because of that love she suffered so much.
He Zhuang stared in silence at Mo Roulan's questions.
Mo Roulan actually didn't expected any answer.
She was silent for a long time before she said in an emotionless voice.
"He did nothing wrong so didn't I. We just …I don't think we fit each other."
He Zhuang frowned as if he wanted to counter Mo Roulan's words but one glance at Mo Roulan's face and he was sure that saying anything would be of no benefit.
Hence he could only watch her walk away.
However, He Zhuang did find out the problem.
Mo Roulan felt scared of losing her family because of He Jian. Shen Yiling had ensued that danger in her heart.1
But she never said that she didn't love his son.
Hence, there was still a hope of saving his son's relationship.
And He Zhuang was ready to do anything for that.
Because he never wanted to see her son like he saw him for the past two years.

But the day didn't end for Mo Roulan so easily.
She had a nap for half an hour and when she woke up, she was feeling hungry. As much as she was reluctant to go down, in the end, she decided to go down hoping not to come across anyone on her way to the kitchen.
The way to the kitchen was still easy.
There was no one inside the kitchen so Mo Roulan made a sandwich for herself before she picked the plate and decided to go to her room to have it.
However, when she stepped inside the living room, a familiar yet unfamiliar voice made her stop in her tracks.
"Mo Roulan, why don't you just get of Jian's life?"
