The driver was driving the car when Mo Roulan received a call. When she saw the number, her eyes were filled with hope as well as surprise.  0

The phone was from the common landline of Chi Mansion in New York. 

'Did Dad finally forgive me and called me?' 

Mo Roulan couldn't help but wonder and picked up the call hurriedly. However, she was bound to get disappointed when instead of Chi Rong's voice, she heard Mo Chen's voice from the other side. 

Mo Roulan composed herself and hurriedly asked her brother about the situation at home, She worried about her mother at night or whenever she was not doing anything. 

Though she tried to keep herself busy and tried to assure herself that as long as Chi Rong was there, nothing would happen to her mother and brother, she still couldn't help but worry about them. 

"Chenchen, how are you? How is Mother? Is Dad taking care of himself?"

Mo Roulan asked immediately.

"Jiejie…"

She heard Mo Chen's voice from the other side in which she could sense his concern. Sure enough, Mo Chen continued and asked

"Jiejie, where are you? Why did you not come home for so many days? I asked Dad but he didn't tell me anything and just said that you were fine."

Mo Roulcn could imagine Chi Rong's cold and emotionless face when he said these words to Mo Chen. 

Her heart sank inside her chest. 

She knew that she disappointed Chi Rong with her decision but she didn't regret it. It was better to face his disappointment than to see him behind bars and her mother with Wang Weimin. 

"I am alright, Chenchen. Jiejie is working here in a good company. I wanted to get some experience before opening my own boutique so I stayed in China."

"China…"

Mo Chen whispered to himself but Mo Roulan heard him. She knew that Mo Chen might not believe her easily. 

Back then when they had left China, she had been very determined not to come here again. 

She even did her whole course again instead of continuing her studies here. 

She just wanted to go away. Yet now, she was staying in China. Mo Roulan however didn't want to tell Mo Chen anything. 

It was of no use anyway. 

"You didn't answer my question? How are Mom and Dad?"

She asked trying to divert his attention as well as trying to know about her parents. 

"Dad is fine. He stays inside Mom's room the whole day but I make sure that he has his rest."

Mo Roulan was surprised when she heard this. 

"Chenchen…did you go to see Mom?"

In the past two years, Mo Chen had never stepped inside their mother's room. Though Mo Roulan tried to make him do so many times, he would always leave silently and she and Chi Rong didn't wish to force him.

Mo Chen didn't answer Mo Roulan's question. Instead, he told her

"Mom moved her fingers a few days ago."

"Did she?!"

Mo Roulan's heart was filled with joy and her eyes with happy tears immediately.

She had been hoping for such a miracle for two years.

In fact, she had been scared that because of her staying with He Jian again, her mother might suffer as she did in her past life.

After whatever happened two years ago, she didn't want to take risks. She believed that she was trying to change their fates and trying to get everything she wanted in her past life. This might not end up well and she might again end up losing everything.

That's why she chose her family instead of He Jian.

If Shen Yiling wanted He Jian, she could take him but she wanted her family to stay safe and sound.

However, the news Mo Chen told her confused Mo Roulan slightly.

But she didn't think much about it and told her brother.

"You must take care of Mom well. I believe that she would wake up one day for sure."

"Yes, Jiejie."

Mo Roulan smiled when she sensed the cheerfulness in her brother's voice.

It was after so many days that she was talking to Mo Chen normally.

"Take care of yourself as well."

She said softly and Mo Chen assured her that he would.

After asking his sister to take care of her health, he hung up. 

Mo Chen smiled as he looked at the phone.

He didn't tell his sister that there was another reason behind his happiness. He had finally made the divine doctor agree to treat their mother.

It had not been an easy task for he had been trying to do the same thing for two years but he was finally successful.

For two years, he had blamed himself thinking about how he couldn't protect his mother and sister's happiness. In his last life, he lost them even before he could give them a happy life. But in this life, he wanted to change things.

Unfortunately, he was kept in ignorance. Somewhere he disliked his sister and mother for that but he understood their reasons as well. They didn't know that his body might of a young child but he could think like an adult.

Therefore, remembering the divine doctor from his past life, Mo Chen immediately tried to contact him. He learned hacking and hacked the system of the divine doctor leaving him impressed.

The divine doctor had been pleased with his skills and told him that he could ask for anything and hence Mo Chen asked him to treat his mother. 

According to the divine doctor, if his mother moved her fingers recently, then there was a high chance that she could wake up.

Mo Chen was now just waiting for the divine doctor to come to their mansion and treat Lin Qianru. He couldn't keep his sister's happiness after she broke up with Brother Jian.

But he at least wanted to see his mother awake again.

If it didn't happen, then he would feel that his rebirth was useless.
