They were able to unlock the door.

Mo Roulan supported the woman with her hand on her waist and stepped out of the house. She frowned when she noticed only trees outside the house.

After a moment, she turned and let the woman lean against a wall.

She wisely locked the house from the outside.

She didn't know for how long He Zhing will stay unconscious. From how much the woman beat him, he shouldn't be able to walk normally even if he woke up. Still, she locked the door.

It will give them more time to go away from this house.

After locking the house, Mo Roulan finally turned to the woman again/

Both of them stepped out of the shed the house had.

Mo Roulan was startled when she heard the barks suddenly. She saw two black dogs running towards her.

Her eyes widened because the dog looked as if it wanted to eat flesh.

She was more panicked when the woman started to scream suddenly and hid behind her.

"It's alright…don't shout…don't shout. I will handle them."

Mo Roulan tried to calm her down while patting her hand on her waist as she looked at the dog into their eyes coldly.

Chi Rong had taught her once how to tame a dog.

You need to let it know that you are not scared of it.

Mo Roulan sighed in relief when the dog stopped barking and suddenly sat down in front of her.

The woman also stopped shouting but she never looked at the dog. Her body was trembling. Mo Roulan didn't know why but she had a feeling that He Zhing might have let the dog scare the woman before.

Otherwise, why did she start to shout so suddenly when she didn't do so at all when Mo Roulan, a complete stranger stepped inside the room where she was locked?

But she didn't have much time to ponder on it.

She needed to find a way out of the place they were in. But it was hard because she didn't even know where she was.

She could only see trees wherever she looked.

It seemed to be a forest.

Mo Roulan supported the woman as she walked ahead.

She didn't even find a phone in He Zhing's pockets. If she had, then it might have helped her.

Mo Roulan didn't know how much time had passed but she had been roaming amidst the trees with the woman for a long time.

She still had not found any way out of the forest.

She was feeling tired now.

She didn't eat anything yesterday so when she saw fruits hanging on the tree, Mo Roulan immediately made the woman sit under the shade of a nearby tree while she tried to break some fruits using the stones.

After a long time of hard work, she was finally able to have four fruits in her hands.

She kept two for herself and gave the other two to the woman.

They ate the fruits before they started walking again.

When she looked at the sky, Mo Roulan was afraid. It was still afternoon so it was still fine. But what if she didn't any way out till night?

It would not be safe to stay at night in the forest.

She remembered how a wolf had attacked her when she was searching for Mo Chen in the forests more than two years ago.

With a sigh full of worry. She could only continue walking.

On He family's side, He Jian's investigators had started tracing He Zhing's location. After tracing him for a whole day, they finally realized that they were losing He Zhing for a few hours in the day. Noticing this, they immediately told He Jian about this. 

He Jian immediately had his men follow He Zhing.

His men told him that He Zhing was going inside forests two times a day.

After the police came to know of this, the few policemen and He Jian with He Zhuang decided to go inside the forest and check what He Zhing was doing.

Grandfather He had already come to know of everything.

He looked very upset when he heard about He Zhing and He Juan.

In the evening when the police inspector had declared He Zhing and He Juan as the main suspects, they were seated in the living room when He Jian said

"Dad, if it was really he and his son, then no one can stop me any longer for making their life hell."

He Zhuang was silent but Grandfather He himself said this time.

"You can do anything you want, Jian. I won't let anyone stop you."

Mo Roulan was tired.

She looked at the sky which was about to get dark and she finally felt the fear emerging inside her heart after she had hit He Zhing and ran out of the house successfully.

It was very unsafe to stay inside the forest after the evening. She could already hear the howls and growls of animals.

Surprisingly, the woman stayed calm.

She obediently followed Mo Roulan and did as she said.

Mo Roulan didn't know how long she had been in He Zhing's captivity but the woman didn't seem normal now.2

She seemed more like a child who needed to be told what to do.

It made Mo Roulan feel more protective of her.

Before sunset, Mo Roulan decided to light a fire somehow. This could help her in scaring animals away.

So she collected the wood and leaves and tried to paste them on a stick with the use of sticky oil she got from one of the trees. 

After that, she took stones and tried to light the fire by colliding them against each other.

Mo Roulan smiled when after almost half an hour, she successfully lit the fire.

"Hehe…"

The woman clapped suddenly making Mo Roulan look at her.

She was smiling widely something which made Mo Roulan confused. It was only when she noticed the woman's gaze on her lips that she realized that the woman was laughing because she smiled.
