The flight was in the evening and Mo Roulan was given the leave by her senior to make arrangements for leaving.

However, they had already done the packing last night.

So He Jian proposed

"Why don't we go out somewhere today?'

He wanted to spend time with her as much as he could as he was not sure when she would return after completing her project.

However, Mo Roulan shook her head.

"No…I still need to finish the designs and send them through the mail to my senior."

He Jian frowned when he heard this. He wanted to say that she didn't need to work hard so much but when he remembered what Mo Roulan had to said to him regarding her office work, he shut his mouth.

She wanted to achieve things in her career and he should know that to achieve heights one needed to hard work.

He Jian sighed as he saw his wife busying herself in making designs.

She was very talented in her field. He knew it.

But he felt distressed on thinking that she would need to work hard. He wanted to give her a life free of any troubles…where she could live peacefully always with a smile on her lips.

No suffering or harm should touch her.

But he also wanted to complete her every wish.

So if she wanted to be successful in her career, it was his duty to support her otherwise he would not be completing her wish.

Hence, He Jian also took out his work and dragged a chair to sit beside Mo Roulan.

As she designed he glanced at her from time to time.

He sighed realizing that she forgot everything around herself while doing her work. But then he was no different.

But for Mo Roulan, he was concerned.

He poured a glass of water for her from time to time.

Mo Roulan drank it obediently.

After she completed a design, she would show it He Jian and He Jian would tell her what he felt about it. Mo Roulan realized how his opinion helped her.

After all, he was the boss of a company and reviewed the work of so many good designers.

It was actually wrong to show designs to him since he himself had a company but He Jian said calmly

"I will shut down the designing department then. I will never want to compete with Lanlan in anything."

Mo Roulan looked at him with wide eyes when she heard that.

"What about your father?"

He should at least ask him.

Mo Roulan had thought that He Jian would reconsider but he said calmly

"Father is going to resign soon. He has already started to transfer things to me. I can take the decisions of the company now."

Mo Roulan shook her head when she heard his words.

"There is no need to do that. I will just let you review my work."

Hence, she showed him her designs in the end.

Still, He Jian was already determined to close the designing department of his office after finishing the current projects.

"I will shut it down. It will only continue if Lanlan would want to work as the head of the department. Otherwise, He Corporation would not step in this field as long as I am there."

Mo Roulan didn't know if she should laugh or feel touched on seeing him so stubborn.

They stopped working when the maid knocked on the door and informed them that the lunch was ready.

After ten minutes, both of them stepped inside the dining room.

He Mingzhu and He Zhuang were already seated there with Grandfather He.

When the three saw Mo Roulan, they were surprised and Grandfather He was the first one to ask.

"Roulan, you didn't go to office today?"

"She will leave for London in the evening for an important project. So she was given a leave to make arrangements."

He Jian answered his grandfather as he pulled the chair for his wife.

Mo Roulan thanked him softly and heard He Mingzhu asking her after she was seated.

"Did you pack everything, Roulan?"

"Yes, Auntie."

He Mingzhu frowned when she heard Mo Roulan calling herself Auntie but soon smiled and let it go.

The maid was entering the dining room with the tray in her hand when the spoon suddenly fell down from the tray.

The small sound made her flinch loudly but He Zhuang immediately held her hand and comforted her until she looked comfortable.

The maid apologized when she sensed He Zhuang's cold gaze on herself.

Grandfather He dismissed the maid and the dinner started finally.

They had dinner in silence.

After they were finished, He Jian and Mo Roulan left the dining room but when Mo Roulan was about to step inside the room with He Jian, she stopped hearing someone calling her name.

On turning around, she saw He Zhuang and He Mingzhu walking towards her.

"When are you leaving?"

Mo Roulan was surprised when she saw that it was He Zhuang himself who asked this question. They rarely talked to each other.

"At five, Mr. He"

He Mingzhu who heard Mo Roulan again was completely confused this time.

Why was Mo Roulan calling He Zhuang Mr. He?

But she decided to ask her husband about this later.

He Zhuang nodded his head and looked at his son.0

"Will you accompany her?"

"Yes, Dad."

He Jian said immediately.

He Zhuang nodded his head. They were standing silently after that.

Mo Roulan didn't know why but she felt that He Zhuang wanted to say something but he was hesitating to say it. 

And sure enough, she was right when He Zhuang spoke up again.

"I wanted to thank you."

The words caught Mo Roulan by surprise and she looked at He Jian in confusion who only smiled and held her hand more firmly.

He Zhuang continued speaking

"If it would not have been you, I would not have gotten my Zhuzhu back."

He Zhuang held his wife's hand and looked at her who smiled at him softly.

Mo Roulan, however, shook her head.

"I was just there. Anyone would have done so."

She didn't think that she did anything big. This humble behavior of hers made He Mingzhu smile at Mo Roulan.

The girl was just perfect for her son.

He Zhuang suddenly left He Mingzhu's hand and stepped closer to Mo Roulan. Mo Roulan blinked and looked at him in confusion.

She stilled when she felt his hand on her head.
