He Jian Can't Sleep Without Mo Roulan

Mo Roulan couldn't even say to He Jian that he should take sleeping pills again. Those pills could cause harm to the body as well if taken every day. 

She remembered how He Jian was very sick once. At that time, he used to live in the apartment that was attached to her apartment. 

Chu Feng had told him that He Jian had insomnia and it was quite serious. 

She didn't know when she remembered his state from that time, she felt slight pain inside her chest. 

When she spoke up again, her voice came out in a whisper

"Go to bed and sleep. I will stay on call until you sleep and wake up. Let's see if it works."

"Lanlan, you will be tired. I am fine, Don't worry."

He Jian said firmly.

But Mo Roulan was more persistent.

"I am in the room the whole day. I will work at night and then sleep in the day. You go and sleep right now otherwise I won't talk to you."

He Jian felt that he had spoiled his wife a lot.

But at the same time, he was happy that she was concerned for him.

"Go to bed now otherwise don't expect me to call you and tell you my well-being as you instructed."

"Alright, wifey."

He Jian felt warmth filling up his heart. Did it not indicate that she cared for him inside her heart? 

He knew that she loved him but he was burning in fire to hear her say it. But he also knew that he couldn't force her to accept it. 

He shall wait patiently. 

He Jian's voice came out playful and Mo Roulan found her cheeks burning suddenly.

He Jian went to bed.

Mo Roulan continued making the sketch. She plugged the earphones into her ears. In between, she talked to him sometimes.

Even when she was silent, He Jian felt comforted by hearing her breathing only.

He didn't even get to know when his eyes started to close and he finally fell in deep slumber.

When Mo Roulan heard the sound of even breathing, she felt relieved.

She didn't cut the call and continued making designs.

Hours passed.

She only stopped to drink water.

Around five hours later, she heard the voice from the other side again.

"Lanlan…"

"You are awake?"

Mo Roulan asked softly.

"Yes, I slept well."

He Jian informed her like a child and then continued

"You should also go and sleep now."

"I will go now."

Mo Roulan immediately put aside the designs and went to bed.

When He Jian heard her even breathing, he cut the call and smiled as he stared at the ceiling of the room. 

He couldn't wait for her to come back.

The next day, Mo Roulan had to meet Rose and Xavier again.

The day before that, she gathered her small team and briefed them about everything. She took everyone's opinions and made some more changes.

By the night, she felt everything was ready and finally went back to the room to sleep.

That night she and He Jian slept on their respective bed while talking to each other.

The next morning, He Jian even wished her.

"I am sure my Lanlan will do great."

His confidence in her made Mo Roulan smile as well as being nervous.

She was uncertain if Rose would like her designs or not. She had made many designs before during her studies as well but this was the first time she was working for a client. 

Her company's reputation was on her shoulders. The way Ji Zhen trusted her with this project, she would be ashamed if she couldn't please her client. 

Taking a deep breath,  Mo Roulan picked her designs and stepped out of her room.

She took one of the staff members with her this time.

Rose and Xavier were already waiting for them.

When they were approaching them,

Mo Roulan saw the blush on Rose's cheeks and the smirk on Xavier's lips.

It seemed that Xavier was teasing her about something.

The way Xavier looked at Rose, it could be seen that he really loved her.

Mo Roulan smiled looking at the couple. Once she had also wished for such love. She had desired all those things that a girl of her age would. Unfortunately, the humiliation she wore in that love exhausted her. 

Rose pushed away Xavier when she saw Mo Roulan and stood up from the chair.

They exchanged greetings and took their seats.

Mo Roulan showed Rose her designs.

She also explained to her if she didn't understand anything.1

After she was finished, she looked at Rose with expectation-filled eyes.

Rose smiled when she noticed Mo Roulan's expression. Her smile was genuine as she said

"Miss Mo, I really liked the designs. From whatever I have understood from your explanation and these designs, I believe that the outcome would be very beautiful. I am already excited to wear it."

"So you are so eager to marry me? You never told me that babe"

Xavier piped in with a smirk.

Rose blushed and glared at him silently.

However, Xavier chuckled and looked at Mo Roulan.

"Miss Mo, please make the dress and jewelry as soon as possible. If Rose liked it then we will give a bonus to the company."

Mo Roulan smiled and nodded her head.

"We will try our best, Mr. Arkright."

After a few minutes, Rose and Xavier left while Mo Roulan with her colleague started to gather their designs.

When she was doing so, she suddenly heard a familiar yet unfamiliar voice.

"Roulan!"

Mo Roulan stilled when she raised her head and saw who was standing in front of her.

Seeing the person, her body stilled completely. 

Everything seems to come on her so suddenly that she didn't even know how to deal with it. 

Those hurt her ...her fate was throwing them on her all at once. 

She wondered if it liked to watch her weak and helpless. But whatever it was, she was no longer that girl. 

She made her own ways and if she chose the wrong path then she held the courage to mend them as well.
