He Jian was slightly taken aback by Mo Roulan's outburst.

He suddenly remember last night and realization flashed in his eyes but he still looked surprised as he looked at his wife.

On the other hand, Mo Roulan's face went beetroot red when she realized what she just said. 

What had gotten inside her!

She didn't even dare to look at He Jian's face and said coldly

"Leave. I need to work."

However, He Jian smiled when he saw her red ears. Although she didn't look at him, her red ears told him that she was just embarrassed.

He wanted to laugh but controlled himself as he walked to his wife's chair where she was seated. Putting his hand on the armrest, he leaned closer to her.

Mo Roulan shrunk herself and tried her best to hide her face

"I am just afraid that you are not ready for the next step so I was stopping myself. But since you said you want it as much as me…I will eagerly wait for the night."

He Jian chuckled when he saw Mo Roulan trembling slightly. He knew that she was not afraid.

She was so red that he wanted to bite her earlobes.

He dropped a kiss on her hair before he straightened up and finally left the office.

Mo Roulan sighed in relief and raised her head to look towards the door.

She patted her cheeks as she scolded herself for being such a coward. At the same time, she wondered what will happen tonight.

She felt nervous ….but more than that why was she so excited?

That evening, Mo Roulan first peeked inside the room when she returned to He Mansion. Seeing that no one was inside, she relaxed and pushed open the door.

After going inside the room, she went to bathroom and got fresh.

When she came outside, a maid suddenly came and said

"Madam, Grandfather He has called for you in the living room."

Mo Roulan was confused but nodded her head.

"I will be there in a few minutes."

She wondered why Grandfather He called her.

Around five minutes later, Mo Roulan came to the living room only to find Grandfather He seated on the couch. He Mingzhu was also seated beside Grandfather He.

Mo Roulan's then went to the people seated in front of Grandfather He.

There was an old man and old woman and then there was a middle aged man. The strange thing was that the three of them were looking at her very weirdly.

Just when she was about to turn to look at Grandfather He and ask why she was called, the old woman stood up and hurriedly walked to her.

Holding Mo Roulan's hand, she even stroked her hair and asked in a choked voice.

"Roulan, did your mother ever tell you about her family?"

Mo Roulan frowned as she tried to remember but in the end, she could only shake her head in 'no'. She actually never asked her mother about their relatives after her father left them.

In the past life, her mother died so she never got a chance while in this life, they were too busy to make money so she never asked her mother.

Grandfather He nodded his head and looked at the old man seated in front of him.

The old man had an emotionless face but anyone who could see his wobbling throat should be able to see that he was hurt on hearing the answer.

In the end, he stood up and looked at Mo Roulan as he said

"Your mother, Lin Qianru was my daughter. I am the head of Lin family and she…."

The old man signed to the old woman standing closer to Mo Roulan and continued

The old woman however was too emotional.

She smiled through her tears and said in a choked voice.

"Where is Ruru?"

She asked softly.

The old man and the middle aged man were also looking at Mo Roulan attentively waiting for her answer but Mo Roulan didn't know what she should say.

She was still trying to process everything.

Seeing her silent, Grandfather He and He Mingzhu looked at each other. In the end, Grandfather He told Old Man Lin.

"Head of Lin family…I know it is a very unfortunate news for you but …Lin Qianru died two years ago."

The old man Lin and the middle aged man looked shocked when they heard these words. On the other hand, the old woman suddenly cried out loudly as she covered her mouth and shook her head continuously.

She took the phone from the maid's hand swiftly while Grandfather He dismissed the maid. He didn't want rumors to spread around.
