Old Master Lin didn't know anything about Wang Weimin. He had only seen him once and he didn't even know his family name since Wang Weimin had met him as Mo Weimin.

Hence, he could never find his daughter again.

Now he was also curious to know how his daughter and her family had been living all these years.

Mo Roulan however stiffened when she heard the old lady's question.

She thought for a moment and realized that in the old couple's eyes, Wang Weimin was still her mother's husband.

So she told them honestly.

"My father is not the man Grandma is thinking of. Wang Weimin …or I should say Mo Weimin left my mother and us when I and Chenchen were children."

Old Lady Lin stilled when she heard this.

Old Master Lin and Lin Yu also looked shocked and then the next moment furious to know this information.

"My mother raised us, children. She opened a restaurant and paid for our school fees. She stayed very strong even though she was a single parent."

Mo Roulan told Old Lady Lin when she saw how worried the old lady looked.

She was actually proud of her mother. She had seen her mother working hard for them. The only fault in her mother was that she was too naïve and she could sometimes do stupid things while caring for her children too much.

But Mo Roulan knew that it was also because of how much her mother loved them.

On the other hand, Wang Weimin made her feel disgusted. 

She was happy that her mother woke up. Now they won't have to hide it any longer. She wanted her mother to divorce Wang Weimin legally.

Lin Yu's eyes went red when he heard his niece but he could do nothing except control himself.

The rest of the time in flight passed in silence.

Perhaps Old Lady Lin and Old master Lin were too lost in thinking exactly how much their daughter have suffered in these years that they couldn't ask anything else or perhaps they were afraid to know more.

Whatever it was, but no one said anything.

It was only when they reached New York did Old Lady Lin said to Old Master Lin.

"It is your fault. All of it is your fault."

Saying this, she wiped her eyes and then walked away from him.

Mo Roulan looked at her with worry and followed her hurriedly while Old Master Lin sighed.

He knew that it was his fault. Perhaps he should have tried to make his daughter understand.

Perhaps he should not have fixed her marriage which let her to take her such an impulsive decision or perhaps he should have let her marry whom she wanted to marry.

'Go and marry him…but don't show me your face when he can't feed you, can't get you clothes you like!"

He had said those words in anger that day.

But he didn't know that she would take them to heart. 

If she had come to him with her children after her husband left her, he would have welcomed her with open arms.

Because in the end, she was his daughter.

His precious daughter whom he had treasured more than anything in this world.

The ride to Chi Mansion had been a silent one.

Old Lady wiped her eyes from time to time. Mo Roulan tried her best to divert her attention as she told her about Mo Chen's naughty actions which he used to do in childhood but she soon realized that it was making Old Lady cry more because she was reminded of her daughter's childhood.

Hence, Mo Roulan shut her mouth.

Around an hour later, the car stopped outside Chi Mansion.

Mo Roulan immediately got out of the car and then helped Old Lady. He Jian also held old Lady's other hand.

Seeing the huge mansion in front of her, Old Lady looked slightly relaxed and asked her granddaughter.

"When did your mother remarry?"

"Two years ago…"

Old Lady's eyes dimmed slightly. In the end, her daughter spent so many years of her life alone. However, Mo Roulan saw this and said instantly

"My father is very good. He loves my mother a lot, Grandma."

Mo Roulan had just finished her words when she heard a familiar voice.

"Jiejie…"

She looked towards the entrance and smiled when she saw her brother walking towards her hurriedly.

"Chenchen…"

Old Lady Lin, Old Master Lin and Lin Yu looked at the boy walking towards Mo Roulan without blinking.

They could see Lin Qianru's features somewhere in him.

"Jiejie…I missed you so much."

Mo Roulan's eyes went slightly teary when her brother hugged her. It has been so long since Mo Chen hugged her like this.

In the past two years, Mo Chen had been so aloof and cold. It seemed that their mother's condition was a knot in his heart which opened when their mother opened her eyes.

Mo Chen raised his head and stepped back.

His eyes widened slightly when he saw He Jian.

Did not his sister dislike Brother Jian?

He looked at his sister with the same wide eyes and blinked in confusion. His actions made him look so adorable in the eyes of old lady, old master and Lin Yu.

Old Master smiled while Old Lady couldn't stop herself from walking forward and pat Mo Chen's head.

Mo Chen was left confused by this show of affection and looked at her wondering who she was.

However, before he could say anything, the old butler walked outside the mansion and smiled on seeing Mo Roulan.

"Young Miss is here. Come come…Young Master and Master has been waiting for Young Miss."1

Although the butler was curious about other people with Mo Roulan, he didn't ask anything. He did nod politely at He Jian who did the same.

Seeing this Mo Roulan was finally confused.

He Jian walked to her side. As they walked inside the mansion, he told her

"Dad is no longer angry at you. I came to see him when you were in London and apologized to him."

"He accepted your apology?"
