4The next few days passed as Lin Qianru recovered.

Mo Roulan also met the doctor who treated her mother. She wanted to thank him but the doctor was a very grumpy old man.

He only talked nicely to Mo Chen.

When everyone saw how Mo Chen behaved coldly with the doctor while the old man smiled always in front of him, they were amused.

Everyone was surprised when they came to know that Mo Chen knew about hacking.

Chi Rong looked proud when he came to know but at the same time, he told Mo Chen

"Don't do something illegal."

"Yes, Dad."

Mo Chen said instantly. He only learned it so that he could find the doctor to treat his mother. Otherwise, he was never interested in learning it.

A week later, as Chi Rong helped his wife in walking inside the garden he finally told her everything.

Lin Qianru's expression was blank. Seeing this, Chi Rong was worried and explained

Chi Rong also felt disgusted and angry whenever he thought about Wang Weimin.

Chi Rong came out of his trance when he heard Lin Qianru.

He nodded her head but said

"Wait for two weeks. You still need to recover. I will ask my lawyer to apply for it."

After staying for half an hour in the garden, Chi Rong stepped inside the house with Lin Qianru. However, he stilled when he saw He Jian walking towards the entrance door.

His eyes immediately went to his wife.

She still didn't know anything about Mo Roulan's marriage to He Jian. In the past week, He Jian had been careful not to cross Lin Qianru's path or linger around her room.

But today, he didn't know that Lin Qianru was in the garden.

He halted and looked at Lin Qianru whose eyes went sharp when she saw him.

"What is he doing here?"

Lin Qianru asked her husband.

She didn't even give him any chance to finish her words and said

"Is Mo Roulan still dating him? I told her not to."

"Qianru…don't be angry. Take deep breaths."

Chi Rong said gently as he caressed her hand softly.

Lin Qianru did as she was asked to do but her eyes on He Jian were cold and sharp. He Jian stood silently and looked at her calmly.

However, inside his heart, he was confused.

He couldn't understand the reason behind Lin Qianru's repulsion towards himself.

"I am alright."

Lin Qianru said calmly after some time and then asked again

"Now tell me what is he doing here?"

By now, Mo Roulan had also come to the living room. She was about to go to the garden because she was told by the old butler that her parents were inside the garden.

However, she was also worried when she saw the scene inside the living room.

Lin Qianru's eyes also found her immediately and before Chi Rong could tell her anything she asked her daughter.

"Roulan, are you still dating him?"

Mo Roulan looked at He Jian who was also looking at her.

She was worried about her mother but when she saw He Jian standing alone in front of her mother's cold and sharp eyes, she didn't know why she remembered herself from her past life.

Just like how she used to stand alone on one side while others would throw cold and sharp questions at her. They would question her love for He Jian.

They would call her gold digger.

She would never want anyone else to go through that. It broke her mentally.

Her heart trembled when she remembered all that and she subconsciously blurted out.

"We are married."

"What?...."

Lin Qianru was more shocked than before. Her lips were parted and she stared at her daughter as if she was looking at a stranger.

She left Chi Rong's hand and wanted to walk to her daughter but her legs were still weak so Chi Rong held her immediately.

Holding his hand which was around her waist, Lin Qianru looked at Mo Roulan and said loudly

"Why did you marry him? Did I not tell you that he is not a good man for you? He is six years older than you and his family…they would never accept you."

Finishing her words, Lin Qianru looked at He Jian and said coldly

"I had considered you like an elder brother to my daughter. Is that what you were doing behind my back? They say right in the end. You should never trust someone with your daughter."

He Jian frowned as he understood Lin Qianru's concern to some extent.

Mo Roulan wanted to say something but He Jian stopped her and said to Lin Qianru.

"Auntie, can we have a peaceful talk? I will like to answer all your concerns and worries."  3

Lin Qianru was breathing heavily. She opened her mouth to say something but Chi Rong held her hand and said

"Qianru, at least listen to children first. We want their happiness but for that, we should know first where their happiness lies."

Lin Qianru opened and closed her mouth but couldn't come up with anything.

In the end, she exhaled sharply and nodded her head.
