Wang Weimin blinked the tears forming in his eyes and almost pleaded

"Xiao Rou, I can understand that you are angry but try to understand …I had no other way."

When Mo Roulan heard that, she chuckled coldly and said in a cold and sharp voice

"You are wrong in that."

A moment later, she smiled coldly and said 

"There is always a way."

She also used to think that there was no other way in her past life but in this life, she knew there always were ways. 

It was her choice to choose her ways. 

"So what if she threatened you, Mom would have been happier if you had come back regardless of everything. Because even by not coming back, you didn't make our life any better, Wang Weimin. I have seen my mom dying every day."

He Jian was waiting for her outside the room. 

When Wang Weimin came out of his shock, he tried to follow her immediately but when he reached outside the restaurant, He Jian had already taken Mo Roulan away in the car. 

He stood there shocked. 

He always sent enough amount to his family because he knew that his wife would not be able to earn it. 

That was the only thing that gave him some comfort and reduced his guilt. 

But today Mo Roulan told him that the money by sending which he found some comfort never reached them. 

Wang Weimin's eyes were cold and filled with anger. 

Only one person could be behind this!

Shen Zhilan had just stepped inside her family's small house after a very exhausting day in office when a hand suddenly clasped her throat. 

She was shocked as the grip got tight and she glanced at the face of the man who was doing this to her. 

Her eyes flashed with rage and she tried to remove his hand from her throat as she found herself unable to breathe. 

"Wang Weimin…"

Grandfather Shen who had just stepped inside the living room with a glass of water in his hands was shocked when he saw this scene. 

He was angry as well as he walked towards him and tried to remove his hand. 

"Wang Weimin! what are you doing? Leave my daughter this instant!"

However, Wang Weimin seemed to have gone crazy. 

Shen Zhilan could feel herself going dizzy. She felt as if she was going to die from the suffocation she was feeling but Wang Weimin's face stayed cold.

"Wang Weimin! If not for my daughter then think about yourself at least…do you want to go jail after doing this?"

Grandfather Shen shouted. 

His voice was filled with panic and fear as he saw his daughter's face going red because of the lack of oxygen. 

Finally, a few moments later, Wang Weimin left her and stepped back. 

Indeed, he would never go to jail for a sick woman like Shen Zhilan. 

Shen Zhilan panted as she fell down to the floor. She tried to take in as much oxygen as she could. 

When Wang Weimin suddenly kneeled in front of her, she trembled on seeing his red and rage-filled eyes. 

"Shen Zhilan! Did you stop the money from reaching my family all these years?"

Shen Zhilan's eyes widened slightly and she looked away. 

This mere action of hers gave the answer to Wang Weimin. 

He breathed heavily because of the anger he felt. 

"Shen Zhilan! I want to kill you but then I don't want to spend the little time I have left in jail when I can see my children and the woman I have always loved even if it would be from far away only."

Shen Zhilan's eyes were filled with rage. 

She never received love from Wang Weimin. She gave him everything she could but she could never receive even his gentleness. 

Tears filled her eyes. 

But Wang Weimin seemed indifferent to everything. 

He straightened his coat as he looked at her coldly. 

In the end, his daughter was right. 

He took wrong decisions and today he was just paying for those wrong decisions. 

He deserved it. 

Wang Weimin swallowed the lump down his throat and stepped outside the house only to come across Shen Yiling who had just returned from college. 

Seeing Wang Weimin, Shen Yiling was surprised but her eyes were more on Wang Weimin's clothes and watch. 

When she remembered the car she had seen outside the house entrance, her eyes brightened up.  2

It meant that Wang Weimin was living in a good situation while they had nothing. 

They didn't even have a car after going bankrupt. 

The wheels of her mind turned faster and within a moment, Shen Yiling was walking to Wang Weimin who was now walking to his car. 

"Dad!"

Shen Yiling called and Wang Weimin frowned. 

He was no longer Shen Zhilan's husband so he was no longer Shen Yiling's father. Shen Yiling should understand this. 

So when he saw Shen Yiling, he said immediately 

"Yiling, I am no longer your father, You can call me uncle."

The smile on Shen Yiling's face stiffened when she heard this. She secretly dug her nails into her palm until her eyes went teary and asked 

"But dad…I have always considered you as my father."
