Shen Yiling Is Refused By Wang Weimin

Wang Weimin frowned as he looked at Shen Yiling. 

He had always felt that Shen Zhialn was partial to her other children. She cared for Shen Yiling but she didn't pay much attention to Shen Youlin and Shen Weisheng. 

Since the day he had realized that, he had tried his best to fill the space in children's life as a father. 

It was never because he considered his relationship with Shen Zhilan true but it was because he yearned for his own children. Since he couldn't be there for them, he could only try to find some solace in Shen Zhilan's children. 

However, Shen Weisheng and Shen Youlin had never been close to him …regardless of how much he tried they never got close to him. 

But Shen Yiling accepted him quite easily. 

Wanng Weimin never knew that the reason behind this was that Shen Yiling wanted Shen Zhilan's acceptance and she could only get it by accepting Wang Weimin easily…after all Wang Weimin was the man chosen by Shen Zhilan, the man she loved. 

"Yiling, your mother and I are divorced. You need to understand a few things. Don't call me Dad in the future."

Wang Weimin said calmly. 

However, inside his heart, he felt bitter. He gave sincere love and effort to Shen Zhilan's children while his children were starving and his wife didn't even have money for surgery.

Wang Weimin came out of his trance when Shen Yiling suddenly held his hand. He frowned again. 

However, Shen Yiling was persistent and said in a spoiled voice. 

"Dad…what are you saying? How can you say that to me?"

Shen Yiling's eyes were filled with tears as she continued 

"Dad, please take me with you. It's not good here. I don't feel fine staying here. Mom is sometimes very angry. She even raised her hand on me a few days ago and she …"

Wang Weimin's eyes were filled with shock and surprise. 

Shen Zhilan had never even raised her voice at Shen Yiling as much as he knew. 

He couldn't imagine her raising her hand on Shen Yiling…her most precious child. 

But as he remembered how cruel and merciless she could be, Wang Weimin thought that Shen Zhilan could do anything. 

She had always loved a luxurious life but now she no longer had one. 

Could it be that she was taking that frustration out on Shen Yiling?

He frowned when he thought so. 

Shen Yiling thought she was successful when she saw the frown on Wang Weimin's forehead going deeper. 

She thought that he would really take her away with him. 

She continued speaking, accusing Shen Zhilan of things she never did in the first place but she was forced to halt amidst her words when she heard a shout

"Yiling!"

Shen Yiling looked at the figure standing a few steps away. It was none other than Grandfather Shen. Her face went pale as she wondered just how much he heard. 

However, Grandfather Shen's face was blank, giving away nothing. 

In the end, he only said 

"Go inside."

Shen Yiling didn't dare to oppose and immediately ran inside the house. 

Wang Weimin frowned as he looked at Grandfather Shen and pondered on what Shen Yiling had said. 

He knew what kind of a man Grandfather Shen was. 

He had seen his guilt and anger when he had come to know that his daughter forced a married man to stay with her. 

He was sure that Grandfather Shen would not sit silently if Shen Zhilan behaved that way with Shen Yiling. 

So did Shen Yiling lie?

Wang Weimin shook his head pushing his thought away. 

He was indeed stupid. 

Even now, he was thinking of someone else's children. He didn't need to take care of them. 

He had his own to take care of. 

Thinking this, he turned around, sat inside the car, and drove away. 

On the other hand, Grandfather Shen looked in the direction where Shen Yiling went.

His eyes were filled with shock, disbelief, and anger.

Mo Roulan was looking out of the window of the room.

Her face was blank but her mind was not. It was filled with so many thoughts. She wanted them to stop but they just wouldn't. 

She couldn't help but wonder what would have happened if Wang Weimin had been a little more courageous and declined Shen Zhilan's proposal. 

If he had returned to her mother, they could have gone far away where Shen Zhilan wouldn't have been able to find them but no, he chose to submit. 

Mo Roulan felt as if Wang Weimin's selfish desires also played a small if not huge role in it. 

There is always a way. It is possible that it is difficult. 

It is just that you don't want to choose it. 

But there is always one. 

Mo Roulan came out of her thoughts when a gentle kiss fell on her temple. She sighed as she leaned against He Jian's chest. 

"Don't thiink much."

He Jian whispered. 

He didn't like when she looked so lost. 

Mo Roulan smiled when she heard these words and said 

"I want to stop but it just doesn't stop."

"Then allow me to do so."2

He Jian whispered huskily. 

Mo Roulan's mind indeed went blank for a moment as she tried to understand the meaning behind his words. 

She wondered if what she understood was true or if it was something else. 

But her guess was conformed when He Jian suddenly closed the window and made her turn around. 

She gasped when his lips fell on hers and then responded eagerly. 

Indeed, it could make those thoughts go away. 

She greedily took this comfort. 

Some time later when they were lying on the bed and He Jian held the strings of her dress while looking at her silently, Mo Roulan also looked into his eyes. 

She seemed to be trying to find something and she seemed to have found it because she nodded her head slightly. 

That was all He Jian needed. 

That night, they finally loved each other in a true way.
