"Is what Fourth Lin Young Lady's words really true and from one's heart?" Chu Wang Ji asked, his fists were unknowingly clenched tightly and ignored her previous comment.2

He didn't know why but Chu Wang Ji felt his question was wrong. He should be glad and let this conversation end with Lin Xiaofei personally agreeing to break the marriage engagement.

And yet, why does he feel like he was the one at the losing end? As if it wasn't he, the one who wants to break off the engagement but Lin Xiaofei. And another, he felt irritated with how unfeeling she was when she said that she agreed to breaking off the engagement.

Lin Xiaofei's eyes glanced at it coldly.

They had just come to break off the engagement but was already prepared to have a list of noble sons to choose from. Wouldn't their intention to genuinely help just a prevarication?

Lin Xiaomeng's face was also ugly when he saw Chu Wang Ji taking out a paper, listing the names of the eligible noble sons for his Fei'er.

Chu Wang Ji felt his nape getting cold and cautiously said, "What does General Lin mean by that? The noble sons in the list are quite outstanding and have some skills. Does General Lin think that they are not good enough?"

What eligible noble sons! Lin Xiaomeng almost ripped the paper in his hands. The 'noble sons' that the Chu family picked among everyone else were indeed outstanding but there was one thing that made Lin Xiaomeng be filled with anger and embarrassment.

Seeing his red face, Lin Xiaofei was curious and went to his side to also read it.

When her eyes first laid on the name on top, Lin Xiaofei raised an eyebrow and was interested to read more and almost laughed out loud when she saw the rest of the list.

The lists of names in Lin Xiaomeng's hand wasn't really that bad. Even Lin Xiaofei find it quite amusing since there were some desirable noblemen. However, for others and Lin Xiaomeng, the list was an insult as the names of the young lords in the lists were all third rates.

He could accept it if they were second rate noble Di sons but third rate ones were almost saying that Lin Xiaofei wasn't even worth the first or second rates noble Di sons. But would Lin Xiaomeng allow Lin Xiaofei to marry a third rate noble son? That was something he needed to think about.

He was no fool that he wouldn't know that almost all first-rate and second rate noble Di sons didn't want Lin Xiaofei to be their bride and if Lin Xiaomeng looked for one that could be of equal status to Lin Xiaofei, that would be a difficult task to do.
