"General Lin? How can that be!" Lin Xiaofei gasped and looked so shocked that her face became pale.0

She clutched her mouth with her hand and her eyes contained an unconcealed shock and anger.

Seeing this, Ke Song rushed to add more fuel to the fire, "I was even escorted here by a servant. Who else would have more freedom in the Lin residence if not General Lin?"

'Oh? It seems he practiced a lot to say those words.' Lin Xiaofei thought. However, her expression didn't change and she still looked like she was very shocked by what he had just said.

Her eyes, which were the most beautiful almond-shaped hazel eyes, curved slightly as it contained her ridicule and glowed ever so lightly, making her peerless face even more alluring to look at.

However, when one looks deeper into those eyes, one would only see bottomless darkness and emptiness that Ke Song had the premonition that he has already lost in this game.

Ke Song subconsciously shivered and abruptly used all of his strength to push Lin Xiaofei away, not because he wanted to start his evil intention to her, but to run away.

Hearing this, Ke Song almost immediately shut his mouth. He couldn't understand why his body was listening to her but because of his wound, he was unable to think properly.

The pain in his left eye was blurring his vision and thoughts. His decision making was a mess.

He was just a foot away from the door and if he walks a few steps, he would then be at the doorway where he would be able to get out of this courtyard containing a horrific young lady.

Determination suddenly shoots up within himself and Ke Song moved, however, he was unable to finish his action and before he knew it, he saw the chair approaching his face so fast that he couldn't cover his head nor he could react to this.

And the last thing he heard before darkness devouring his vision was, "Sleep first. Don't worry, I'll take care of you."

The sound of a heavy mass falling on the ground was soon heard as Ke Song fell limply on the ground.

After Lin Xiaofei smashed the chair near her bed to Ke Song's head, she heaved a tired pant as she dusted her hands and coldly said, "Alright, what to do next?"
