Elder Gao intended to save the little bride that Qu Xing Xu brought home and proposed to. He was no fool to not know that ladies were fragile creatures that will faint at the slightest sight of blood.0

With her ears perked at their murmurs, Lin Xiaofei didn't know whether to cry or laugh.

"I'll let you touch it later." Qu Xing Xu chuckled. He could see through the way she looked at the painting with earnest eyes filled with admiration. He was amused at the thought of her being drawn to the painting that he drew himself.

It seems that he wasn't wrong thinking that Lin Xiaofei was a unique and deadly flower among the flowers in the garden.

That time in Hong Pei Lou, Qu Xing Xu didn't fully believe that she was the kind of woman who loved these bloody paintings, and the words she said that time were only spoken without thinking. With that scene in front of her, Bai Jia Li couldn't stop herself from walking ahead of her elder sister who needed her support to continue her pretentious act of having her ankles twisted.

"Brother Qu Xing Xu." Bai Jia Li began once she got close to them, "Why don't we head to the garden near your courtyard? I missed the flowers in there."

"That's unfortunate, the flowers in the garden is no longer there." Qu Xing Xu commented to which made Bai Jia Li crease her brows.

"What do you mean by that? Brother Qu Xing Xu. Did they wilt after the storm yesterday?" Bai Jia Li asked.

Shaking his head, Qu Xing Xu instead looked at Lin Xiaofei as he answered, "No, I replaced them with better things than the flowers before."

Bai Jia Li gasped softly. The flowers in that garden were of the most beautiful and freshest flower she had seen in the entire empire. In addition, these flowers were also quite hard to find and expensive to buy.

Having a glimpse of his sly smile that held deeper meanings behind it, Lin Xiaofei asked him, "What did you replace them?"

"Are you curious?" Qu Xing Xu asked her with a smile. Overjoyed to see that she understood him and wanted to go along his acting.

Lin Xiaofei rolled her eyes at him. Does he need her to repeat it? "Yes, I am." She decided to say it again and get over this. She was also wondering what he had planned to do.

"Alright, let us head over there now." He said without turning to take a glance at Bai Jia Li and didn't get his hand off Lin Xiaofei's lower back as he leads her towards the garden.

Once they were close to the garden, Qu Xing Xu suddenly told a few words to which made Lin Xiaofei feel curious, "I am certain that you will love what I replaced them with."
