'What the fuck...' I jumped a foot and flew back away from the screen that popped up out of nowhere. Or at least I tried to because no matter where I looked the messages still appeared in the center of my vision.

I ran downstairs to mom and tried to explain that there is a transparent blue screen in front of my face that says good morning.

"You need to eat more vegetables, Tobi, you clearly are hallucinating...come on go and take a bath, breakfast is almost ready...go!"

'Damn it why doesn't mom believe me...ugh, now what do I do now...' Looking back at the weird floating T.V thingy I tried saying, "Hello…?"

'Looking back at that awkward first conversation with the A.I. I can't believe if I was ever that stupid. But to relieve some pressure on the past me, I was 5 years old when I first received a notification. Due to the presence of an inherent perk of the system I have developed a habit of talking to myself. I am calm almost always if there is not an urgent situation and negative psychological effects are negated by the perk. Anyway, I am 8 years old now and here it is, the reason I have been grinding for the last 2 and a half years now.'

I stood alone in front of the Konoha Academy, ready to start my life and training as a ninja.

'You know even though I was a kid I did get one thing right, RPG games have too much grinding...It has been almost 2 and a half years but the level I am at…*sigh* no depressive thoughts...let's have a check before starting this.'

'Okay, D-6 it is...' I walked into the classroom and sat in the second last seat by the window and waited for everyone to show… As my classmates started arriving I started to spam inspect on every student that entered the classroom.

'Okay, all of the students in the class are civilian kids dreaming of being a ninja. Although I would also be like them if not for the system. The highest level except me was 3 and that guys stats are like really really weak...anyway let's look back at my stats and bask in the awesomeness that is me...hehe, Status'

'Yup I am awesome...anyway as civilians the academy doesn't expect us to have had any training anyway so the level of my classmates is not a surprise. Anyway with no fighting style, and low experience any half-decent clan kid can be done with me in a minute without even breathing hard.'

A chunin entered the class, who I expect is our homeroom teacher. He approached the desk and waited for everyone to quiet down, probably because it was everyone's first day and they didn't want to be on the teacher's bad side, most of the class settled down pretty quickly.

"Hello everyone, my name is Iruka Umino. I will be your homeroom teacher and in charge of most of the subjects in your first year at the academy. Now, most of you will probably know that to pass through the academy and be promoted to genin, you need to go through years of education..."

A quick look around showed him that most of the class still has an interest in what he had to say, he continued, "The contents of your education do not change throughout the four years, just the level of difficulty increases per year until you are ready to enter the Konoha active ninja list."

While explaining the subjects he started writing on the board explaining what each subject entails and why it is included in the syllabus.

"History: The most basic fundamental of being a ninja is to control the flow of information to your opponent and knowing your own and history is the primary step towards that step...Just looking at the headband you can figure out the first Jutsu that the opponent will probably cast. In a ninja battle even a split-second advantage is decisive and the more information you have the greater your chances of success."

"Taijutsu: Most of you probably think that if you have a powerful enough jutsu, why don't you just finish the opponent with it and be done with it. But when you are in the field and you won't always know the number of variables present in a situation. You could be out of chakra and a well-placed kunai will end all that effort you put into being a ninja."

'Wow! That is a perfect explanation of why History is a subject included in the syllabus, along with Taijutsu, Ninjutsu, Shueikenjutsu, and Genjutsu.'

The class went on for about 45 more minutes and everyone listened attentively. After class, Iruka distributed this year's course material. As I received my bundle of scrolls, each scroll prompted a notification from the system.
