Han Shun took a step back and looked at Bo Pengfei, alerted, "And you're also part of them, right?"

"Huh? What are you saying, kid?" Bo Pengfei frowned. It seemed this dumb, arrogant kid was making an assumption in his head. 

"You suddenly dragged me here, into this deep valley where the mist cannot be dispelled, and the celestial beasts are all vicious. You're obviously trying to trap me here!" Han Shun suspected.

Bo Pengfei sighed. Of course, he forgot that Han Shun was very rash and unreasonable at times, "Okay, kid, don't panic, I am not here to kill you."

"I'm here because I disagree with them. I don't like you, but you're still the chosen disciple of Master Bai. I can't do anything about it," Bo Pengfei tried to explain, but by the suspicious look in Han Shun's eyes, it seemed his explanation was in vain. 

"Listen, I bring you here because I'm also targeted. They are planning to kill us both, and I believe the only way to have a chance against them is in this valley. Since both of us are native to the mortal realm, we know this mist valley well. We can use the mist to our advantage!" Bo Pengfei tried his best to explain. He knew that he stood no chance if he had to fight seven sect elders alone, but if he could get Han Shun to fight by his side, then he could at least have a small chance of winning. 

Han Shun started to hesitate after hearing the explanation. He was still suspicious of Bo Pengfei because he knew Bo Pengfei disliked him. What made him different than the rest of those guys?

But he also understood that Bo Pengfei respected Bai Gege a lot and was the last person to ever betray Bai Gege. 

'But still, there is no guarantee that he isn't here to trap me as well. If I am gone, he could be number one again for Master Bai, right?' Han Shun theorized. 

"Damn it, you got to believe me, Han Shun! There's not much time before they arrive—"

"Ah, thank you so much for your work, Brother Zhang. You've successfully brought this kid here! OUR plan went smoothly!" 

Bo Pengfei paused when he felt a hand tap his shoulder. He looked over his shoulder and saw the rest of the sect elders of Plum Blossom Immortal sect standing right behind him. They had a malicious smirk upon looking at Bo Pengfei.

"How could you—" Bo Pengfei was astonished. He made sure to put a few illusions along the way, so these people wouldn't be able to find him and Han Shun so quickly. 

He was convinced the other sect elders wouldn't be able to dispel his illusion and the mist no matter how much they tried. They would eventually catch up, but it shouldn't be this quick!

The only logical explanation for their early arrival was if there was someone who knew well about this forest that directly guided them into the valley. 

"Surprised?" Liao Ling smirked. "Ah, Brother Peng, why do you need to act like this? It's obvious that you're the one who set up everything, including trapping this kid in this valley!"

"What the hell are you talking about?!" Bo Pengfei turned around to face them, realizing everything was according to their plan.

They wanted to act like Bo Pengfei was part of the plan to kill Han Shun, so Han Shun. He wouldn't be able to join forces, so Bo Pengfei and Han Shun stood no chance against seven people as they also couldn't work together. 

"Stop pretending now, Brother Peng. It's all your idea to kill Han Shun. Isn't that why you lead us here? Don't worry, let's kill this kid and make sure that Master Bai will return to his old self.'

"Yes! Master Bai is an untouchable, aloof god! We need to get rid of this arrogant pest, so he can stay pure!"

"Brother Peng, I know you don't want to stain your hands by killing that arrogant kid. Let us do it for you," Liao Ling said, and the rest of the sect elders unsheathed their weapons, ready to attack Han Shun from any direction. 

"Surround that kid from all directions! We can't let him escape!" Liao Ling took the lead and commanded the other sect elders. 

The sect elders all surrounded Han Shun, who stood still. There was no response for Han Shun, so they thought Han Shun had accepted his fate because he couldn't run away here. 

"Damn it! I need to save him!" Bo Pengfei unseated his sword, but as he was ready to jump in and shield Han Shun, he felt a strong pull to the ground. He couldn't move an inch of his body, not even his finger.

"W—What happened?!" Bo Pengfei's eyes observed the other sect elders, thinking that one of them must've used their technique to bind Bo Pengfei.

But then, he saw a man suddenly appear out of thin air and standing right in front of him. The man had exquisite features, so handsome that Bo Pengfei thought he saw the most handsome God ever. 

The man had long black hair and wore a black robe with golden lines. His unusually pale skin made him somewhat scary despite his best-looking appearance. 

  The man had a smirk while staring at Bo Pengfei.

"W—Who are you?" Bo Pengfei asked. 

"Just someone who wants to help Han Shun," the handsome man replied. He looked over his shoulder and saw Han Shun was already building up his rage over time. He must've felt so betrayed right now. "Soon, he will awaken his purple eyes and realize how everything is against him, except for his Bai Gege."
