After making a few adjustments in his old courtyard, Bai Shijue, the God of Prosperity and Purity— and also Beacon of the Light, finally resided in his old courtyard to train Han Ning, the new generation of the priest from Han Min's bloodline.  1

He sat under the plum blossom tree, playing with his Guqin while watching Han Ning, who was practicing his martial arts. 

"Hup! Hat!"

"Wrong posture, Han Ning," Bai Shijue reminded as he continued playing. "Your left leg should be less narrow. You're going to lose your balance with that stance."

"Understand. Thank you, Master Bai!" Han Ning quickly fixed his stance and continued his practice.

Meanwhile, Han Min walked into the courtyard with an empty porcelain teacup and kettle. 

He served it beside Master Bai and said, "Master Bai, this is your tea."

Bai Shijue smiled, "Thank you, Han Min."

Han Min bowed his head respectfully and then checked on Han Ning's martial arts training because Han Min was basically a legendary martial artist in this world with all of his training from Master Bai and also his experience as a veteran. 

Han Ning had also obtained his newfound respect for his great grandfather. Because now, he realized that his great grandfather never lied to him, even in that old tale in the script where Han Shun, Prophet of the light, was a very jealous husband of God Bai Shijue. That was why the temple never asked for a female sacrifice because it would invoke the wrath of the Prophet. 

And it seemed to be true, other than playing Guqin, Master Bai read the manuscript and sometimes disappeared without a trace and returned after a day or so. 

However, his presence was only known to Han Ning and Han Min. Nobody— not even the devout followers could see Master Bai ensure he wouldn't invoke a mass hysteria. 

Bai Shijue was busy with two things right now;

1. Searching for Baishe, the white snake who had just disappeared. 

2. Finding ways to contact the God of Death and Underworld, which also happened to be the God of Nothingness, who was supposed to be his adversary… and Han Shun's mentor right now.

[Ugh, this is so complicated. How am I supposed to talk to Han Shun's new mentor? Isn't he like… super evil? How am I supposed to have a deal with the devil that had stolen my beloved man!?]

[Besides, where is that white snake? I'm searching for her in every nook and cranny, also visited her lair every day, and she's nowhere to be found!]

But his path was halted when he saw Han Ning practicing in his courtyard.

Bai Shijue approached Han Ning and said, "Go to sleep, Han Ning. You're still a human. You still have your bodily function, unlike me, who is an immortal without the need to sleep or eat."

"Ah, Master Bai!" Han Ning bowed his back respectfully. "I was just perfecting the move that you taught me! I don't want to disappoint you!"

"Besides, this courtyard is the courtyard of your husband, Han Shun, the Prophet of the light, right? I bet Master Han Shun must've blessed me with his strength because I'm still feeling perfectly healthy!"
