Chapter 1942: Don’t Worry About Him0

Tears welled up in Jin Zeyu’s eyes, his heart overwhelmed with emotion. The tears he had fought to hold back finally broke free, streaming down his cheeks. “You’re still alive… I knew it… I knew you were still alive. This is great, Xi Yue. You’re alive.”

Xi Yue’s expression softened, the usual coldness and distance replaced by a gentle warmth. “Jin Zeyu, it’s been a long time!”

Jin Zeyu gritted his teeth and nodded.

Ten years had passed. Xi Yue had disappeared from their lives for a decade, yet now, standing before him again. All the memories came rushing back—vivid and intense.

*Cough…*

Ouch

, it hurts! This is killing me!”

Just then, Qian Dazhuang, who was lying not far away, woke up clutching his chest.

When he opened his eyes, he was momentarily confused, unsure of where he was. But as soon as he saw Xi Yue, a deafening shout escaped his lips, and he lunged toward her. “Xi Yue! It’s really you!

Hahaha

, I knew you were still alive!”

Xi Yue chuckled and gently kicked him away, her strength barely more than a light push.

Qian Dazhuang was sent sprawling onto the ground by the kick, but he didn’t seem angry at all. Instead, he flashed a wide grin at Xi Yue, and as his smile grew, tears welled up in his eyes, the laughter giving way to involuntary sobs.

Qian Dazhuang’s loud voice instantly alerted everyone, both inside and outside the room.

Chen Xiaofeng, Zhang Yi, and the others also woke up at the commotion.

The moment Zhang Yi spotted Xi Yue, he rushed toward her, crying uncontrollably. “Xi Yue, you’re alive! *

Sob…*

you’re really alive. This is the best thing ever! I’m so happy!”

Anling Yuan, Anling Yang, and the others hurried in and said nervously, “What’s wrong? Are you fine, Xi Yue?”

As soon as they entered the room and saw a group of men crying uncontrollably, they were completely stunned.

Jin Zeyu cleared his throat, subtly wiping away the tears on his face. “Stop crying,” he said softly, “You’ll make us a laughingstock.”

Everyone then wiped their tears and calmed down their emotions, but they couldn’t stop smiling.

Qian Dazhuang pointed at Zhang Yi, whose nose was red from crying, and scoffed, “You call yourself a man, someone who’s supposed to protect Xi Yue? A real man doesn’t cry like a baby or throw himself into her arms, whining like that. How old are you? Aren’t you embarrassed?”

Zhang Yi’s face turned bright red from embarrassment as he shot Qian Dazhuang a fierce glare. “As if you didn’t cry!” he retorted. “Who was it, again, that bawled his eyes out when he heard about Xi Yue?”

The group burst into laughter, quickly slipping into their usual teasing and bantering with each other.

For the past ten years, their lives had been filled with hardship and depression. All they could focus on was getting stronger, no matter the cost, and seeking revenge for Xi Yue.

Now, suddenly realizing that Xi Yue was alive and standing right before them, their true selves began to surface once again.

As Xi Yue watched the noisy group, the heavy, suppressed emotions that had weighed on her since the battle atop Cang Mountain seemed to lift. At that moment, it was as if a ray of sunlight had pierced through, softening her heart and brightening her spirit.

She turned to Uncle An and said, “Uncle An, please prepare some food and drinks. I want to entertain these old friends I haven’t seen in a long time.”

Uncle An quickly bowed in response. Instead of leaving, he hesitated and took a step closer to Xi Yue. In a low voice, he murmured, “Young Master… Mr. Weizhi is still standing outside. He…” ɌÁNóᛒĚS

Hearing that, Xi Yue’s expression immediately darkened, and she coldly replied, “Don’t worry about him. If he wants to stand there, let him be.”

The atmosphere in the room instantly grew heavy and tense.

Jin Zeyu and the others exchanged uneasy glances, opening their mouths but saying nothing. They had already guessed that Weizhi was the young man in red who had injured them.
