Director Gao looked at the man who suddenly barged in. He panicked at first, but he soon managed to compose himself.2

"You killed Professor Yao. I'm calling the police right now!" Director Gao said and immediately made a call.

"You're lying. She would never kill anyone!" Mu Bai glared at him angrily. 

Su Qianxun no longer had the time to bother about other things. She stared at Professor Yao, who was lying in a pool of blood, and shouted anxiously, "Doctor Mu, please save Professor Yao. Please save him, I beg you!"

When Mu Bai saw how upset she looked, he hurried over to hold her in his arms. "Qianxun, I'm very sorry. Professor Yao is already..."

Su Qianxun refused to believe that Professor Yao had been beaten to death by the director just like this. She felt extremely dizzy and her vision became blurry.

Mu Bai held the young woman in his arms tightly. He was really glad that he did not leave immediately after he handed the voice recorder to her. Therefore, the moment she gave him a call, he realized that she was in danger and managed to rush over as soon as possible.

Director Gao had already called the police, and he continued to tell lies about the incident earlier. He stated that Su Qianxun had an argument with Professor Yao due to the scandalous photos, and that Professor Yao merely lectured her, but she became enraged and bashed him to death.

The students had already hurried over when they heard the news, and they crowded around the director's office.

Standing amidst the crowd, Su Ran witnessed everything with a look of indifference. Even though there was a disparity between the outcome and what she had expected, it did not matter as long as whatever happened would lead to Su Qianxun's destruction.

Mu Bai was furious and anxious, but all he could do was comfort the young woman in his arms. 

The police arrived shortly after. The school director then loudly recounted the "prior incident" again in a stern and righteous tone. He kept accusing Su Qianxun as Professor Yao's murderer.

Just as the police officers were about to arrest Su Qianxun, a group of men in black forced all the students who had gathered at the doorway of the office to leave. They then stormed into the room one after another and occupied nearly half of the space. 

Mu Bai furrowed his eyebrows as he stared at the men. He helped Su Qianxun up on her feet, but the young woman could not even stand properly. Instead, she leaned on him and clutched at his shirt tightly. Tears were streaming endlessly down her face.

"Who are you people? How can you barge into my office just like this? Police officers..."

Before Director Gao could finish speaking, a towering figure appeared at the office door.

Long Sijue walked in with his back facing the sun. He was haloed in a soft glow from head to toe, like a God who had just descended from heaven. Six foot three in height, he emitted an air of arrogance. He had a short, burning cigarette between his fingers, and the smoke cast a veil over his cold, handsome face. But his deep black eyes pierced through the smoke like a blade, as though they could inflict excruciating pain on the skin of anyone he looked at.

He fixed his gaze on Su Qianxun. When he saw that the young woman was crying and leaning her head against another man's chest, the look in his eyes turned extremely dangerous.

He pressed the cigarette between his fingers with force and snapped it in half.

'How could she be so dependent on another man!'

Mu Bai saw Long Sijue as well. Naturally, he remembered who the man was. They had met in the hospital a few days ago. He could not possibly forget such a man even if he wanted to.

He did not like the way the man was looking at Su Qianxun. Almost subconsciously, he tightened his arms around the young woman in his embrace. 

Tang Zui and Ye Gu entered the room right after Long Sijue. 

When Ye Gu spotted Su Qianxun, who was covered with bruises, he balled his fists tightly. He glanced coldly at the university director and nearly lost control of his urge to kill the man right away.
