"Are you mocking me?" Long Aotian furrowed his eyebrows.

"I wouldn't dare to." Long Sijue's attitude had always been like that. No matter what Long Aotian said, he had always acted indifferently. He was neither arrogant nor servile. For example, when he told Long Aotian that he would not dare to mock him, his attitude had not been even the least bit humble. He was also expressionless as usual.

Long Aotian's mood immediately became a lot better when he saw how obedient and thoughtful Lan Qingcheng was. He glared at Long Sijue. "You can go back now if there's nothing else. You have to be careful of your behavior with regard to certain matters. Don't cross the line, as I won't stand idly by!"

Long Aotian was being extremely cryptic, but everyone still understood what he meant. He was giving Long Sijue a warning, as everyone knew that Long Sijue had took in a young woman who could bear his child.

When Lan Qingcheng heard this, her expression immediately became desolate. She looked as fragile as a wilted flower, and whoever looked at her would feel extremely sorry for her.

"I'll make a move first." Long Sijue turned around and left without looking back.

"Uncle, I'll send Jue off." Lan Qingcheng turned and followed Long Sijue out of the hospital ward. 

"Jue, do you have time tonight? Let's have dinner together." Lan Qingcheng was totally captivated as she gazed at the man's side profile.

"I'm not free. I still have a lot of work to do," Long Sijue replied flatly.

"What about our wedding? Don't you have anything to say about it?" Lan Qingcheng could not help but ask. Her beautiful eyes were glinting with anticipation. She hoped that Long Sijue could say something positive about it, even if it was just a word or two.
