Su Qianxun saw that Gu Mian had been sitting in the lecture hall in a daze. She could not help but extend her arm and wave in front of Gu Mian's face. Gu Mian instantly snapped out of her reverie, looked at her friend and asked, "What's up?"0

"I should be the one asking you this. What's up with you? You seem like there's something on your mind the entire morning."

"Um… it's about my family." Gu Mian was recalling the things Tang Zui said to her this morning. She kept having a feeling that there was something she did not know about. 'Had I really done something extremely heinous to him?'

"Qianxun, are you close with Tang Zui?"

"We're quite close." Su Qianxun was thinking about what to get Long Sijue for his birthday.

"What do you think of him?"

"Tang Zui may seem flirtatious and unreliable, but he's really nice. I think his frivolous exterior is just a masquerade to protect himself."

Gu Mian did not reply.

"Why? Why are you asking about him all of a sudden?" Su Qianxun asked without looking up.

"It's nothing. I'm just asking."

Gu Mian grew even more agitated. She had come to realize that Tang Zui was nice, loyal and empathetic to everyone. She was the only one he treated coldly and mercilessly.

'Why? Why is that so?'

"Long Sijue's birthday is coming soon. What should I give him?" Su Qianxun had no idea what to give Long Sijue even though she had thought long and hard."

"It better be something that a man needs in his day-to-day life… it would be the best if it means something special," Gu Mian said. 

'A special meaning...'

"Ah, I know what to do. Mian Mian, thank you. You're my best strategist!" Thrilled, Su Qianxun gave her a hug. 

Gu Mian was still thinking about the things Tang Zui said to her. 

Su Qianxun decided to make a necktie for Long Sijue, but she had already run out of money. She had to think of a way to earn some money in order to afford the materials needed.

Bai Weimi heard Su Qianxun's laughter and glared at her in annoyance. "Su Qianxun, I heard that you also have a boyfriend, and that he's rich and handsome… Don't you want to ask your boyfriend to take us out for dinner?"

Su Qianxun was startled. 

She knew that by admitting that he was her boyfriend in front of those female students, Long Sijue had incidentally debunked the rumors about her and Bai Weimi's boyfriend.

After all, Long Sijue was tremendously outstanding and stunning. No one who knew that she had a boyfriend like Long Sijue would suspect that she was trying to seduce another man.

"Yeah, Qianxun. Since you already have a boyfriend, why don't you let us meet him? After all, we have already met Mimi's boyfriend," Ke Ran smiled and said. 

"He's usually… too busy. He doesn't have time for this." Su Qianxun did not dare to make any promises. She believed that it was impossible to get Long Sijue to hang out with her classmates. 

"I think you guys must be faking it. If a man truly cares about you, why would he be unwilling to allocate some time to have dinner with your classmates?"

Bai Weimi thought of the new rumors circulating on campus and grew angry. Everyone was now saying that she had misunderstood Su Qianxun. They also said that Su Qianxun's boyfriend was in a far higher league compared to her loser boyfriend.

"Who says Qianxun's boyfriend doesn't care about her? If Qianxun were to ask him, he would definitely say yes." Gu Mian was genuinely pissed off by these people's attitude. 

"Really? Then I'll wait for your boyfriend to take us out for dinner! If he doesn't, it means that this 'boyfriend' of yours is fake!"

At noon, after classes ended, Su Qianxun received a phone call from Su Manni, who wanted to meet up with her.

Gu Mian was certainly too worried to let her go alone, so she went with her. The location of the meet-up that Su Manni gave her was a cafe right across the street from the university.
