Su Qianxun was indignant. She left that hospital and went to another one. She went to about seven different hospitals of various sizes in one go, but she received the same answer from all of them.0

She went to another hospital again. This time, she requested to redo the ultrasound examination. She was placing her hope on this last examination. Su Qianxun's hands trembled non-stop because of how nervous she was.

The doctor gave her a bill and she went to pay the fee. She then went for the examination.

Su Qianxun did not allow herself to shed a single tear again. She wanted to believe that her baby was fine, so she did not want to cry.

When the results came out, she went back to the doctor. After the doctor viewed the results, the doctor informed her regretfully that the fetus was already dead.

Su Qianxun was in a trance when she left the hospital. She did not know where she currently was or where she was going. She felt like she could hear her cell phone ringing, but she had no desire to answer it. 

Just as she approached an intersection like a wandering soul, a car that suddenly sped up almost knocked her over, and Su Qianxun fell to the ground. The other person kept scolding her. He yelled at her for not looking at the road while walking and also tried to extort money from her. However, she could no longer hear anything.

The weather, which was initially sunny, suddenly became dark. It had started to drizzle. The person who scolded her had left, and pedestrians with their quickened footsteps cursed the changing weather while they hurried to find a place to shield themselves from the rain.

Only Su Qianxun alone was sitting on the ground, allowing the rain to fall on her body. Suddenly, it appeared as if the young woman had recalled something. She suddenly hugged her bag tightly. Inside, there were two ultrasound result slips of her baby. They were proof that her baby existed.

When Xia Chuxi drove by, he thought that he was seeing things. He immediately stopped his car, and only then was he certain that the young woman who had fallen on the ground was Su Qianxun.

Xia Chuxi immediately parked his car at the side of the road and got out. He walked to Su Qianxun's side. His eyebrows were furrowed together as he stared at Su Qianxun's dazed expression. She was hugging her bag tightly. He immediately bent down to help her up.

Su Qianxun was already numb from the pain, and she even found it unreal when she looked at the man who had suddenly appeared. It felt like he was not standing before her, but at a place very, very far away from her.

The next second, her entire world turned dark. Xia Chuxi was shocked, and he immediately carried her in his arms. He then quickly walked toward his car. 

Su Qianxun was in an unfamiliar environment when she woke up. She sat up abruptly and immediately searched for her bag. She only let out a breath of relief when she saw that her bag was just beside her. She immediately took the bag and hugged it against her chest.

Only then did she realize that her clothes were different!

Right then, she was only wearing a set of pajamas! 

Su Qianxun's face turned pale as she was frightened. At the same time, Xia Chuxi walked in, and he was holding a bowl of ginger soup in his hand. 

"Why are you here? Did you change my clothes?" 

Xia Chuxi did not answer her question.

"Drink the ginger soup first." Xia Chuxi sat down and was about to feed her.

"Were you the one who changed my clothes?" Su Qianxun furrowed her brows as she stared at him.

"Why do you still care about such things at a time like this? Finish the soup, and I'll bring you for surgery." Xia Chuxi felt extremely pained when he thought about the fact that she was actually having another man's child!

"What surgery? What the hell are you talking about!" Su Qianxun suddenly became very agitated and slapped the bowl out of his hand. The bowl fell on the floor with a piercing noise, and the soup spilled across the floor too.
