Once they entered the bathroom, Tang Zui pinned Gu Mian on the wall and kissed her. Gu Mian wanted to push him away, but when she recalled that she currently had a deal with him, she lost all her strength to resist and let him do whatever he pleased.1

After Tang Zui fell asleep, Gu Mian slowly opened her eyes. He was holding her tightly in his arms. Gu Mian could barely move.

Gu Mian tried to move his arms away and heard him grumble above her head. "What? Just go to sleep."

"I want to use the bathroom. You should sleep first," Gu Mian said and moved his hands away determinedly.

After Gu Mian got out of bed, she headed to the bathroom. She sat on the toilet bowl with her arms around her drawn knees. Right now, she was genuinely reluctant to go back to bed and lie in his arms.

Tang Zui waited for a long time, but Gu Mian did not come out. He knew that she was hiding from him. He was too frustrated to sleep by then.

Nearly an hour passed. When he heard the door open and shut, he immediately rolled over and faced away from the bathroom door. Gu Mian took a cautious glance at him. Once she made sure that Tang Zui was already asleep, she walked over to the bed carefully and lay down with her back facing him.

Tang Zui kept his eyes open and stared ahead the entire time, until he heard the young woman's even breathing from behind. He rolled over and held her in his arms.

The next day, Su Qianxun woke up in Long Sijue's arms. The first thing she did the second she opened her eyes was to touch her own face.

The first thing Long Sijue did the moment he opened his eyes was to take a look at her face as well.

"How do I look?" Su Qianxun looked at him anxiously.

"So much better. The swelling and redness are gone."

Some parts of her face still had hints of redness, but that was about it.

Su Qianxun immediately sat up and looked for a mirror. There was none in the ward, so she got out of the bed and ran into the bathroom. When she saw her face had almost recovered in the mirror, she finally heaved a sigh of relief.

The look of her face was truly horrific last night. She almost scared herself to death. 

Long Sijue went into the bathroom and held her from behind. He kissed her cheek gently. "Are you relieved now?"

"Thank you, but what exactly happened to my face yesterday?"

At first Su Qianxun thought she was having an allergic reaction. After all, the clothes she wore were brand new and had not been washed before.

However, the itch became more serious and she felt increasingly miserable. It was when she realized that it was not only an allergic reaction.

"I have already told Ye Gu to investigate this matter. He has probably found something by now," Long Sijue said and brought Su Qianxun out of the bathroom. He let Ye Gu into the ward.

Tang Zui and Gu Mian entered the room as well.

Seeing Gu Mian, Su Qianxun was very happy. Gu Mian saw her face and finally became relieved. "It's good that you're alright. You didn't know how scary your face looked… You looked like a demon."

Su Qianxun was rendered speechless.

"What are the findings?" Long Sijue looked at Ye Gu and asked.

"It was Zhou Nana. She ordered her assistant to do that. I have already ordered my people to arrest her assistant," Ye Gu said.

"Why didn't you arrest Zhou Nana as well? She's the mastermind behind this," Gu Mian furrowed her brows and asked.

Su Qianxun was rather puzzled as well. She wondered why they did not arrest Zhou Nana. She almost killed her. It counted as an attempted murder.

"We can't touch Zhou Nana now. Even though the crew is done with the filming. They have yet finished producing Qianxun's advertisement. If they need that woman during the editing process and can't find her, this entire advertisement will be ruined. Qianxun's effort will be in vain, don't you think?"

Tang Zui understood Long Sijue too well. He would never let that chick's dream and effort go to waste because of that woman.

Tang Zui provided an explanation to justify Long Sijue's decision because he was afraid that Long Sijue would not explain himself. Even if the chick would not blame him for that, she would still feel a little bitter about it.
