Long Xixing raised a foot and tried to give Su Qianxun a vicious kick. There was bloodlust in his eyes. Su Qianxun immediately backed away, hoping to duck the kick. She tripped over something and fell to the floor. Her fall allowed her to dodge the attack by accident.

None of them noticed that there was a child at the door who was sticking his head in and who saw everything that happened in the room. Before Long Xixing's foot landed on Su Qianxun, a small figure dashed into the room and threw himself between them. He put his arms around Su Qianxun and held her tightly.

Long Xixing saw that his foot was about to land on this little fellow. Startled, he tried to retract his foot, but it landed on the little boy anyway.

Su Qianxun thought that she would be done for this time. She sensed an embrace from behind and turned around to see a small, outrageously beautiful face. However, at that moment, that small face looked as if it was in pain.

Xiao Mingyan and Lan Qingcheng were shocked. They did not expect Long Lin to get in the way all of sudden. In fact, no one had noticed him lurking around until now.

This little fellow was the apple of Elder Long's eye. If he was indeed hurt, they would be in hot water.

"Lin'er!" Long Xixing was startled too. He quickly crouched down to check on the little boy to see if he was injured.

Long Lin shot him a glare sullenly. He then quickly threw his arms around Su Qianxun's neck and held her tightly. He refused to let Long Xixing take him away.

"Are you alright? Are you hurt?" Su Qianxun, too, looked at the little boy in her arms anxiously.

Long Lin immediately shook his head and suddenly leaned over to give Su Qianxun a peck on the cheek. He blinked his big eyes that were like blackcurrants. It was apparent that this little boy liked her very much.

The three other people in the room froze. Everyone knew that Long Lin was an autistic child with a very odd temperament. He was never close with anyone. However, not only did he run in to save Su Qianxun, he even kissed this young woman on the cheek!

Su Qianxun froze. She did not expect this little boy to kiss her on the cheek. Once she recovered from the shock, she said, "Let me check if you're injured."

When Long Sijue came into the room, his expression was very grim. The second Lan Qingcheng saw him, there was a sheepish look in her eyes. She was secretly panicking. After all, they were already engaged. There was no need for her to cause more trouble.

She acted on impulse earlier on. It was a mistake.

While she was internally panicking, a large hand reached over. Lan Qingcheng lowered her head and saw the red-faced Xiao Mingyan holding her hand in hers, as though the old woman was trying to show her support.
