She Felt Even Uneasier

"Is this how you see me?" Long Sijue furrowed his eyebrows as he stared at her. His tone had turned harsh.1

"Besides this… I can't think of any other possibility!" Su Qianxun was genuinely furious. Su Manni nearly got her killed, yet he was trying to protect that woman's daughter.

Long Sijue did not answer. He stared at her for a long moment before saying, "Whatever!"

Su Qianxun wanted to say something, but Long Sijue had already averted his gaze and no longer bothered to look at her. The young woman merely felt a sharp pain in her lower abdomen. She clenched her teeth and endured the pain.

As it appeared, Qiao Yiren had succeeded again. Even though Long Sijue never belonged to Su Qianxun, Qiao Yiren still managed to steal him away. 

Su Qianxun felt tears gather in her eyes and a pang of sourness in her nose. She had always thought that he was the special one...

The two of them continued to sulk in silence during the car ride. Once they arrived at Jin Garden, Long Sijue got out of the vehicle ahead of her and left.

After Su Qianxun got out of the car, she went straight to the kennel. She sat down on the ground with Long Xiaoxun in her arms. She was incredibly upset.

Sometimes, she genuinely felt that it was easier to get along with dogs compared to humans as their interactions were more straightforward and relaxed.

Gu Mian could sense that Tang Zui was acting very strangely today!

After Tang Zui dragged her into the lounge, he had not stopped drinking. There was a gloomy air around him.

Even though he had not humiliated her or physically tormented her today, Gu Mian felt even uneasier!

Tang Zui had been driving in silence the entire time. Gu Mian noticed that the direction they were heading in was not the usual route. She asked nervously, "Tang Zui, did you take a wrong turn? This is not the way home."

Tang Zui did not speak. He merely kept his eyes on the road expressionlessly. Gu Mian felt increasingly frightened. She sat in her seat anxiously. Her thin eyebrows were scrunched up tightly.

The car left the city, and there were lesser and lesser lamp posts along the road. There was only darkness miles and miles around. Gu Mian put her arms around herself nervously. She did not know where on earth Tang Zui was taking her.

As lamp posts began to appear along the road ahead again, Gu Mian secretly sighed in relief.

When the car stopped, Gu Mian finally realized that Tang Zui had actually brought her to a cemetery!

Gu Mian gazed at him nervously. She asked, "Tang Zui, what are we doing here?"

"Get out!" Tang Zui said and got out of the car. He walked to the door of the front passenger seat and dragged Gu Mian out of the vehicle.

Gu Mian stared at the cemetery. She was feeling rather scared. She wanted to retreat into the car instinctively. "I… I'm scared!"

Gu Mian did not know what was so funny about the things she said, but Tang Zui actually laughed out loud. His laughter was cold and mirthless… 

"You know what fear feels like too? What about my Little Ning? Darkness was her biggest fear, and she was the most faint-hearted person I had ever known! Come with me!"

Tang Zui suddenly dragged Gu Mian toward the cemetery with force. Gu Mian was so terrified that she almost burst into tears. But she suppressed the urge to cry as hard as she could. She bit her lip tightly and swallowed her tears.

The crypt keeper at the cemetery recognized Tang Zui and opened the door for him. Tang Zui then dragged Gu Mian into the cemetery expressionlessly.

Tang Zui had rather great strength. He was walking very fast as well. Whenever Gu Mian stumbled onto the ground, he would pull her up in a rough manner and continue walking. As they walked through the cemetery, Gu Mian kept stumbling and falling. Her knees were bruised and in pain, but what was really tormenting her was the maddening fear…

Tang Zui dragged Gu Mian to a grave. He flung her toward the headstone and ordered coldly, "Kneel down!"

Gu Mian stared the black headstone. She was frantically inching backwards…

"I'm telling you to kneel down!" Tang Zui suddenly walked over and shoved Gu Mian down, forcing her to kneel on the ground.
