He Had Been Suspecting that and Testing Himself Repeatedly

"We cannot afford to put off you and Chuxi's wedding. Let's set a date for you guys to get married." Su Manni was worried that if they were to wait longer, their trouble might snowball and complicate further.

On the third day of Tang Zui's stay in the hospital, he could no longer stand how boring it was. He was determined to be discharged.

His decision to leave made Gu Mian rather relieved. To be honest, she did not want to deal with Tang Zui twenty four hours a day. 

Gu Ling had not transferred her the money. Gu Mian was worried that Gu Ling would run away again, so she gave him a call. 

This time, Gu Ling did not go back on his promise. He went to campus to give her the money right away.

"Two hundred thousand dollars. It's all in there. Just one question, what do you need this money for?" Gu Ling asked his younger sister.

"It's not your concern. Goodbye!" Gu Mian zipped the backpack up, got out of the car and left. 

"Father is getting better lately. When you have the time, do go and visit him with Tang Zui. He's been asking about him these days," Gu Ling said.

His words totally infuriated Gu Mian. She and Tang Zui were already divorced. 'Who is Tang Zui supposed to be when I take him to see my father?

Once Gu Mian received the money, she immediately gave Lu Ming, no, Tang Ming a call. He went by Tang Ming now. She wanted to meet up with him to return the money.

Tang Ming wanted to see Gu Mian very badly. He agreed to meet up, and they decided on a location.

When classes ended in the afternoon, Gu Mian asked Su Qianxun if she had free time to go somewhere with her. She wanted to return the money to Tang Ming.

Frankly, Gu Mian did not wish to further complicate things.

After classes, Gu Mian and Su Qianxun were about to head to the location where Gu Mian and Tang Ming were supposed to meet. But he sent her another text message and changed the location.

Gu Mian saw the location that Tang Ming sent her and furrowed her eyebrows slightly. Su Qianxun leaned over and glanced at the screen of the cell phone. She said, "A mansion by the sea beside your family's vacation home?"

Gu Mian was genuinely afraid of Tang Zui. Worse still, that mansion belonged to Tang family. If Tang Zui was there, she would be in big trouble. 

"What's wrong?" Su Qianxun could tell from the look on her face that something was off. 

"Lu Ming and Tang Zui are half-brothers," Gu Mian whispered. "I've met Tang Zui at that mansion."

Su Qianxun did not expect such a coincidence.

"If you're worried that there would be a misunderstanding on Tang Zui's side, I can vouch for you. Don't worry."

"Um, let's go then. Once I return the money, we'll come right back."

Su Qianxun instructed the driver to take them to the mansion by the sea. If things went smoothly, they would be able to come back within two hours.
