3.16 Move In

The condo was only half an hour's time from the Royal Palace, situated in a high-end residential complex where every single house was enough to feed a family of five for a lifetime. And Altair's condo was the biggest, most luxurious and beautiful, and also kind of separated from the others. Oliver couldn't resist blushing once they arrived. Why...did it seem like they were going to have the world to themselves?1

Of course Lu Yizhou had no idea what kind of dirty play was running in Oliver's mind. The detector above the door emitted soft blue light and scanned him up and down before a light ding was heard. [Welcome home, Master.] The door then clicked open. Hearing no signs of movement around, he turned to see Oliver still standing by the car, fidgeting for some reason he couldn't fathom. "What are you doing there? Come here." He beckoned.

Oliver whipped his head up, his pitch came out higher than expected. "O—Oh!" He bit his lips and gingerly prodded to Lu Yizhou. He was taken off guard when Lu Yizhou suddenly pulled him closer and placed him right in front, his palms resting snugly on Oliver's shoulder.

Oliver's heart skipped a beat and he strived to ignore the heat emanating from Lu Yizhou's back to pay attention to what he said.

"See that detector?" Lu Yizhou pointed up and upon receiving Oliver's nod, continued but the words didn't directed to him. "Give him the same authority as me."

A beep sounded followed by another incandescent glow that scanned Oliver's body. [Command recognized. May I know your esteemed name, Second Master?]

Oliver blinked and his brain finally caught up to what was happening. He gasped and turned to Lu Yizhou, eyes disbelieving. "How can you grant me access just like that? This is your home!" Giving Oliver the same authority… exactly how much trust did Altair put in him?! Oliver blushed despite himself, half flattered and half exasperated. Fortunately, the Alpha didn't seem to realize the predicament he was in and merely tousled the Omega's hair gently and brushed past him to go inside.

Dissatisfied with the Alpha's lack of answer, Oliver chased after him, huffing. "Altair!"

The interior was decorated elegantly. The living room greeted Oliver's sight as soon as he came in with a large TV that was planted to the wall and comfy looking sofa. Lu Yizhou was already at the bottom of the stairs, beckoning at him, still with no intention to fulfill Oliver's curiosity. One thing the omega gradually learned about him; even though he was gentle and suave and sexy as hell, he was also exceedingly stubborn and nonchalant. He disliked speaking if he didn't have to and he didn't care if he would be misunderstood. That trait of his made Oliver frustrated and helplessly in love with him at the same time. Realizing that he wouldn't be able to dig an adequate answer out of the Alpha, Oliver resigned to follow him to the second floor. Faintly, the hallway in front of him looked familiar; cinnamon wood tiles, creamy walls, an antique vase atop of the cabinet with stalks of fresh roses, perked with droplets of dew hanging on the tip. He couldn't help sniffing closer and belatedly realized that it was the sweet tinge that he could barely smell in the Alpha's pheromones.

Rose, pine and winter scented pheromones, Oliver gulped. Could the Alpha be any sexier?

Lu Yizhou stopped in front of the majestic floor-to-ceiling mahogany door carved in exquisite designs. It was slightly ajar and Oliver inadvertently caught a glimpse of a familiar looking canopy bed and dark colored walls. "This is my room." Then he pointed at the one opposite. "That's yours. Your daily necessities have been prepared. If you still need anything, don't hesitate to ask."

Oliver could no longer hear Lu Yizhou's words as all of his attention had been pulled to the Alpha's bed. At the mention that it was indeed his room, flashes of memory emerged in Oliver's mind out of nowhere and his face instantly exploded into a burst of crimson. T—That bed…! It was the place where he spent his first heat and...and…

Numerous indecent things they had done there rapidly flashed through his mind and Oliver's head promptly shut down from overheating. He was only brought out of his reverie when Lu Yizhou snapped his fingers in front of his face. A sliver of concern colored those silver eyes followed by a cold touch of his palm on Oliver's forehead. The temperature was so stark on his warm skin that he shuddered.

"What's wrong? Did you really catch a cold?" Lu Yizhou frowned and in the span of time when Oliver barely recovered himself, he had already called for someone on his communicator to fetch the royal doctor. His frown was etched with displeasure. He had already made sure for the doctors to nurse Oliver back to health but why did he still get sick so easily?

Oliver was flustered. "No—No need to call the doctor! I am—" The words died down in his throat when Lu Yizhou suddenly unfurled his wings and encased him within, his body pulled closer as a result. The Alpha's warmth, scent and presence wrapped around him to the point where he couldn't think straight anymore.

"The doctor will be here soon." Still with a frown on his face, Lu Yizhou offered his wings for Oliver to snuggle in. "Come closer."

Oliver was helplessly drawn in by instinct. The feathers were soft, warm and fluffy under his touch. He recalled two occasions; when he played with the feather during his heat, it was ticklish and pliant but when he grabbed onto it back when Lu Yizhou almost killed Cathy, it was hard, deadly and sharp. No matter when, Oliver was never afraid. Instead, his chest was filled with an unprecedented surge of warmth as he buried his face deeper into the softness and nuzzled his head there. The Alpha's scent was faint, only barely lingered on the surface but Oliver still took everything in greedily. His toes curled despite himself and he suppressed the whimper that almost came out, the familiar bubbling heat crept up the soles of his feet and sent numbness up to his head.

Oliver found himself unable to control his scent properly, it was the first time he had felt so... unbridled. And he was sure the Alpha could feel it too; the scent of his arousal. Shudders ran down his spine when he felt Lu Yizhou's breath grazing his neck, his voice deep and husky. "Come to think of it, I forgot to do an important thing."

Oliver let out a shaky breath, still unwilling to bring his head up. "What is it...?"

Lu Yizhou's nose snuggled into his skin and a hum slipped through his lips, one that made Oliver feel hot all over. All around him, encased by the curtain of feathers and warm body, wisps of wintry rose pheromones tangled out like sinful silk, soft and bewitching. Before Oliver came to his senses, he was already trapped in between the sultry web, neither did he ever want to escape or break himself free.

"Scenting you." The winged beastman said in an even tone but the impact on Oliver was akin to being struck by bolts of lightning. "So that other Alphas know who they're going against if they dare to touch you."
