3.35 Let Me Out!

Oliver splashed some cold water on his face to calm himself down. Alas, when he lifted his head up, the reflection that stared back at him was still the same; cheeks shyly flushing, wide dreamy eyes, slightly swollen lips—both from the earlier kiss and how hard he had been biting his lips for the past few minutes. Overall, he looked…inappropriate. Obscene. Oliver couldn't imagine how his face would have looked on the screen. And God—on their way here, people were staring. Majority of the reason was of course because of Altair's commanding presence but… Oliver groaned and propped his arms up on the sink. No matter from which angle one looked at him, he totally gave the impression that he had just been ravaged. Or worse, wanting to be ravaged.  1

Simply speaking, he was horny.

Ever since Altair dropped down to his knees, the perfect picture of gorgeousness in one package, Oliver already felt the ever low shimmering arousal deep within his gut. And when the Alpha boldly kissed him in front of everyone…Oliver was ashamed to admit that all he wanted to do was to pull down Altair's neck so he could deepen the kiss and then make out with him right there and then. The spectators be damned.

But he couldn't. He was Prince Oliver and Altair was also a Prince. Worse, he had a reputation to behold as the official envoy from another kingdom. Losing their mind over lust like unbridled animals was the last thing Oliver wanted to see happening to Altair. "Be patient, Oliver." He stressed to himself in the mirror. Fortunately, the bathroom was empty so he was spared from the humiliation of anyone seeing him freaking out over making his relationship public.

It was official, the corner of his lips lifted into a blissful smile. From now on, everyone would know that he belonged to Altair the same way Altair was his.

Eagle beastmen were faithful spouses, or so Altair told him. That meant that Oliver wouldn't have to share him with another omega. Wasn't that just like a dream come true? A wistful sigh escaped Oliver's lips. Now it would be perfect if Altair would cut himself some slack and stop treating Oliver like he was a cracked porcelain glass.

Oliver drummed his fingers on the marble surface. One plan after another popped up in his mind. When Altair sent him home later, maybe Oliver could invite him in for some tea or coffee. Then he would take the Alpha by surprise like usual and went down on him to suck him off. It had been a long time, hadn't it? The last time he had done it was more than a week ago. Altair's body must have been repressed and frustrated. And then, Oliver would incite the Alpha by touching himself and he knew perfectly just how to press the button so Altair could snap.

Shudders ran down his spine and he pressed his thigh together to hide his erection. God, he was already half hard just by imagining how Altair would eat him out like a starving beastman. His tongue, wet and hot, going wild inside him, leaving a trail of wreck along the way. Heaven, it was all Oliver could think of and…and if he could press further, he could have provoked Altair enough so that the Alpha would agree to have his help during his rut. Oliver didn't want to use the heat inducing medicine to force him but one or two pillow talks must be allowed, right? Oliver knew it was a shameless move from him but he couldn't help it. That's just how much he had been yearning to have Altair inside him.

Oliver shook his head and took a deep breath, again and again until his mind was void of dirty thoughts and his erection went down. Only then did he wash his face once again to recede the flush. More than ten minutes later, Oliver deemed himself appropriate to be seen in public and nodded. He went to his communicator and intended to ping Altair when he was met with no signal caution.

"No signal?" His brows knitted. "How could it be?" Oliver tried to restart it once, twice, and the signal bar was still empty.

That's weird. Oliver crossed the bathroom and pulled on the door handle…only to be stuck. Huh? He rattled the door harder. It didn't budge at all. The door was locked. "Hello? Is anybody outside?!" He called out.

There were some shuffles and faint conversation. Oliver tried again. "Hello? I am stuck here. Can you please help me to open the door?"

Something wasn't right here, Oliver's instinct told him. There was no way the public bathroom could be locked accidentally; their technology had improved beyond that unless…it was done on purpose.

"Your Highness Oliver." A girl's voice chirped, cheerful and apologetic. "We are very sorry but we need you to stay there for a while. Not long, just half an hour. That will be enough."

Oliver's mind spun and his heart thudded in his chest. Who was it? He didn't recognize the girl's voice but she sounded young enough to be a student. Telling him to stay here? What for? Oliver paced back and forth behind the door and stopped abruptly to take a deep breath. Calm down, Oliver. Don't panic. Whoever it was, they didn't seem to want to harm him. They told him to stay, they didn't want him to go… Something in Oliver's mind snapped and he fumbled for his communicator, his fingertips shaking. Altair. Was it Altair? Was the alpha their target?

He couldn't make a call. The signal was still unavailable. "Damn it!" Oliver cursed under his breath.

As if knowing what he was doing, the girl said in pity. "Don't try to call anyone. We have signal interference here. It's okay. We won't do anything to you."

Oliver forced the words out through gritted teeth. "Is it Altair?"

There was silence. "Your Highness is surprisingly sharp."

Oliver almost couldn't breathe. Suddenly, his lungs felt too big inside his ribcage. He banged on the door, knuckles turning white. "What do you want to do to him?! He's…He's strong. You can't do anything to him!"

Yes, that's right. Everyone had seen what Altair could do. Even Alpha twice his size wasn't able to take him down. They needed more to drag Altair down but the mere prospect of Altair getting hurt somewhere without him knowing was enough to send a storm of fury straight into Oliver's chest. He growled and kicked the door harder until he was sure it would make him bruised. "Tell me!"

"I'm sorry, Your Highness. But it will be easier for both of us if you cease the struggle. Yes, His Highness Altair is indeed strong but…" The girl mused. "Can he go against an omega in heat inside an enclosed space?"

What? Oliver froze for one long moment. As the words slowly registered in his mind, he promptly felt faint like he was going to lose consciousness soon. His heart seized painfully as he whispered. "An omega in heat…?"

Altair…he was going to go into a rut. Having an omega in heat near him would be—Oliver blinked out of his hazy stupor and belatedly realized that his whole body was shaking all over. He felt weak but his mind was clear, clearer than before. "...Rosemane?" He took a guess, yet somehow he already got the answer in him. Who else might that be? Bold and brave enough to lock Oliver in and desired Altair enough to go through such lengths to obtain him…

The girl's next sentence confirmed his doubt. "I expected no less from Your Highness."

Oliver should have known it. All day, he had sensed something off with Rosemane but he couldn't put his finger on it. Unlike Oliver, Rosemane had gone through his first heat last year. She must have known that her heat was coming and to support that, the Emperor had even said that she wasn't feeling well yesterday. That's why Oliver couldn't even catch a whiff of Rosemane's scent all day. She ought to be using the scent blocker to hide her heat.

He should have guessed it; Rosemane wouldn't give up just like that. She was stubborn, strong-willed and tenacious. Just a single rejection wasn't enough to dismiss her and moreover…Altair hadn't marked Oliver yet. No matter how bold they announced their relationship, they still weren't legal mates. That's why Rosemane must have seized the opportunity to act.

All the missing pieces fell into place and Oliver suddenly understood everything. He understood where Rosemane was coming from but exactly because of that reason he—

Oliver swallowed down the lump on his throat. His forehead dropped until it was pressed onto the cold surface of the door. Suddenly, the air dissipated around him and he couldn't breathe. It hurt. His chest pricked with pain and his eyes stung. It hurt so much like his chest had just caved in, depriving him of air. Altair and Rosemane? The man he loved and the sister who always bullied him?

Tears slid down his cheek and he let out a faint laugh. He couldn't let it happen… He couldn't!

"Your Highness…?"

"Let me out." Oliver slammed his whole body to the door, again and again. Pain was the last thing that registered in his mind. His eyes were red and wild, growling. "Let me out! I have to go to him! I have to find him! LET ME OUT!"

The steel door rattled but otherwise still strong enough to stay in place. Oliver let out a scream of frustration and relentlessly threw his body forward until the hinges made an eerie creaking sound. A faint dent could be seen from the surface of the door from how hard he had been crashing into it. Oliver had no idea where he got the strength but the thought of Altair trapped helplessly with Rosemane was enough to drive him crazy.

The girl outside started to panic. "Y—Your Highness, stop it!"

"LET ME OUT! LET ME OUT! LET ME OUT!" The side of Oliver's body throbbed in pain and he was sure that at some point of a time, he could hear his bones cracking but he couldn't care less. All of his attention was on the metal door that separated him from Altair. If he was going to ruin himself to reach the Alpha, then so be it. He had to go to Altair, had to prevent him from marking Rosemane—

BOOM!

Suddenly, the ground beneath his feet shook and Oliver lost his balance, tumbling down the ground. The light above his head flickered intermittently followed by another explosion that sounded like it was coming from the upper floor. Oliver blinked dazedly, sweat dampening his hair causing it to stick to his face. A loud angry roar and interspersed with panicked screaming reverberated through the air.

Tears welled up in Oliver's eyes. Even if he had forgotten everything else, he wouldn't have mistaken it. That was Altair's voice. Enraged, livid. Just by hearing the anger in his roar was enough to make Oliver's blood boil. He recovered swiftly and wiped his tears. With a renewed determination, he went back to banging the door. "Open the door if you don't want anyone to die! NOW!"
