There must be something in his tone — a plea, desperation — that wiped the smirk off Lu Yizhou's face. He threw himself flat on to the bed and Terra grimaced. That must have hurt. A sigh fell from Lu Yizhou's lips, loud against the empty space. When he spoke again, Terra was relieved that his tone was devoid of the teasing lull that very much messed with his mind. "I'm sorry. Fuck, I have been such an ass. It's just that… I hate it when you look so nervous and cautious around me. Trust me, Terra, everything is fine. I won't lose my mind. It's not so easy to break me, you know." He casted a sideways glance and Terra was stunned at the hint of self-deprecation and bitterness he found inside. "I promised… I will take everything slow with you, won't I? That's why, you don't need to do this for me."

Terra blinked, taken aback. So… all these times, it was the thought in Lu Yizhou's mind? That somehow, Terra had been forcing himself to do this? He bit his lips in frustration. It's not. That's not the case. But how could he tell Lu Yizhou that his nervousness had nothing to do with his eagerness to do this with him?

He could feel his eyes burning as the words lodged in his throat, unable to find their way out. Terra looked up to prevent his tears from falling and after a split second decision, pulled up the hem of his nightgown over his head and discarded it to the side in a heap, inwardly apologizing to Doctor Wyatt for his futile effort to find the nightgown when it was of no use to begin with.
