Hii everyone, welcome to Arc 6! Uhh, this arc might be hilarious and a little crazy at the same time so buckle up and enjoy the ride *wink* also there might be... 3P? Cough, let's see how the story will turn out 1
Arc 6: Oh My Sweet Little Psycho!
"I have no idea the world I am in is so cold... until I can no longer feel your warmth."
.
.
.
"What was that…?" Lu Yizhou still hadn't recovered from his shock even after he was transported to the rest station. Sitting on his bed, he stared at his hand in minute shock; the smooth, youthful hand that had grown unfamiliar after decades of Terra tracing every wrinkle and age line there was. And of course, it was also bereft of any wedding ring. "What happened to Terra? Why did he… turn into fragments of light?" A frown appeared between his brows. "Or… does it happen every time in the previous worlds?"
[666: T—That… 666 has no idea at all! This is the first time 666 has seen anything like this, Host!]
Lu Yizhou went to fetch a glass of water, all the while trying to regain his composure and measuring every possibility there was. When he got back to the bed, he had begrudgingly come to a conclusion that he still knew too little, it was simply not enough to draw any sort of theory.
In the first world, he left way earlier than Ren Zexi. The second world, he self-destructed and brought Theodore along with him. The third world, he and Oliver died at the same time. In the fourth world… Lu Yizhou sighed and shook his head in frustration. Why hadn't he seen this kind of phenomenon in the third world? Or had he closed his eyes a second too fast? If he had kept his eyes open, would he have also witnessed Oliver's body burst into the glittering sea of lights?
He wanted to ask 666 to hack again into the main server's kernel to see if they could find out something about his lover. However, they had discussed before that doing this illegal act in the rest station wasn't the best idea because the surveillance here was stricter than inside the simulator. When Lu Yizhou asked why, he was then bombarded by numerous scientific terms and code language he didn't comprehend a bit. In layman terms, the rest station was included in Admin God's territory whereas inside the simulator, they were protected by the privacy settings that enabled them to make use of the loopholes.
Lu Yizhou held his forehead and slowly let out a sigh. Surprise wasn't even adequate to describe what he felt after seeing his lover's body shattering like that. He was… petrified like thunder had just struck him right on the head. His heart had almost stopped beating, seized by the palpable fear for whatever had happened to his lover. Alas, before he could react, he had been ejected by the simulator.
He put down the empty glass on the nightstand and realized that his fingers hadn't stopped trembling. A wry smile appeared on Lu Yizhou's face. Since when had he gotten so weak?
He could only pray that his lover was alright. Or else… Lu Yizhou couldn't even guess what he was capable of doing. One thing for certain, it would definitely be unpleasant.
[666: Alright, Host, let's move to 666's favorite section, counting the reward! Wait a minute, before that, you won't ask for any ridiculous request such as a meeting with Admin God again, will you?]
The lines of Lu Yizhou's lips tightened. "No." As much as he wanted to extort information from Admin God, he knew that it wasn't the right time to show his cards yet. He didn't want to rouse anyone's suspicion and bring unwarranted harm to his lover.
[666: Phew… Yosh, here we go!]
[System notification: Ding! Processing the data… Calculating the fifth simulation's result…]
[Successfully completed the mission +1000 points.]
[Fulfilled the villain's wish +500 points, received additional reward Permanent Skill "Fire Element"! This is a special reward for your generous purchase in our store. No one has ever received it before oh~]
Lu Yizhou rubbed his chin thoughtfully. His previous assumption was finally confirmed. The skills he bought in the simulation would become his permanent skill in the consequent worlds. This wasn't a bad deal. He looked at his increasing points with some degree of satisfaction. Should he begin to buy moderately useful skills in the next world and increase the stock of his permanent skills? Who knows, it might come in handy in the future.
[666: Oh…! You can do this kind of thing? Why hasn't 666 thought of this before?! That's a brilliant idea! As expected, Host is mighty, Host is powerful, Host is intelligent!]
Lu Yizhou not so discreetly rolled his eyes.
[System notification: Ding! Calculating the Host's willmeter…]
The bar appeared with a poof in front of Lu Yizhou, bubbling with molten lava-like liquid. Previously, it was stuck at 24%. Lu Yizhou still remembered, if the willmeter didn't reach 50%, then there would be special precautions enforced on him in the next world. He fixed his eyes on the willmeter, ignoring 666 who clearly thought that the willmeter would rise faster if it cheered louder. The willmeter shot up quickly. 25%...28%...34%...
[666: Please, please, please. Please let it be 50%!!!]
It reached 46% and started to slow down. Lu Yizhou raised a brow. Honestly, he didn't expect the number to be this high.
[666: Aaaaaaah, nooo! Just a few more percent!!!]
Despite 666's incessant whines, the willmeter mercilessly stopped at 48%, just two percent short of the target. Lu Yizhou blew out a breath. Well, he had already prepared himself for this. He stood up, patted any invisible dust away from his trousers and subconsciously rubbed his fourth finger where the familiar platinum ring was supposed to be… only to find nothing.
Stunned, Lu Yizhou slowly let go and shoved his hands into the pocket instead. Habit… was really a dangerous thing.
He inhaled deeply. "Let's go."
[666: Oh my Admin God, why is 666 feeling nervous?! QAQ]
In the next second, a familiar vertigo struck Lu Yizhou's head. No, to be honest, it wasn't so familiar. It was thrice as strong and Lu Yizhou felt as if he was submerged in a violent whirlpool. His vision was swimming round and round and when he regained his senses, he found that he was floating midair, looking over a vast country draped in a thick layer of snow from… above?
666 screeched inside his mind, frightened out of its life. And for the first time ever, Lu Yizhou felt like it wasn't nervous for nothing.
He couldn't feel his body, couldn't move his limbs and couldn't even hear his heartbeats. That was because… he had none. Amidst the vast blue sky, Lu Yizhou was air. Air was Lu Yizhou. He was floating in between clouds and sunshine pierced through him.
A being without a corporeal body, was what he seemed to be.
As soon as understanding dawned on him, Lu Yizhou couldn't help but let out a disbelieving laugh. Well, at least he still maintained his consciousness but unfortunately, it wouldn't be long. Lu Yizhou could feel it deep inside his soul. He was getting weaker and his eyelids became heavier and heavier. He resisted vehemently against the urge of falling asleep and gritted his nonexistent teeth. [Plot.]
What was it again this time? Had he become a ghost? A vengeful spirit?
