7.29 Do I Qualify?
Meanwhile back in the mansion, Lu Yizhou was lounging on the folding chair by the swimming pool, munching on an apple whilst listening to 666 talk about Wind Group's charity auction. This particular event had only been described in a few paragraphs in the original plot as in that moment, nothing was more important than Cedric and Zion's blossoming relationship.2
[666: Without the male protagonist, Moshe will be in the spotlight through the entire event. He will then impress Mr. Agenor enough to sign a major contract with him. After that, The Void's business will develop by leaps and bounds. Alas… in the end everything is turned into ashes because of the bombs Zion set up.]
The villain's wish…
Lu Yizhou narrowed his eyes in thought. Every single time, he would always get 500 bonus points for fulfilling the villain's wish. Lu Yizhou didn't even realize he was doing it before but now… there was a clear direction as to how he should fulfill his lover's wishes. Of course Lu Yizhou would try his best to see it happen, the points notwithstanding.
[I guess Regius will somehow find his way into the event and try to destroy everything? Did you say he's the one who has rescued Zion? And Regius is also the other protagonist, Cedric's friend and because of him, the two protagonists have met each other?]
[666: R—Right, it happens when you're *cough cough* preoccupied with something and 666 feels bad for interrupting so…]
Lu Yizhou almost crushed the apple core in his hand. He closed his eyes, wishing that he could go back in time to knock himself out. He couldn't believe how careless he was! While he was busy… busy entertaining Moshe, the bug had actually pushed the plot back on its track!
This was no one's fault but himself, a voice inside him brooded. If it wasn't because of him provoking Moshe in the first place, then the subsequent event wouldn't happen. To his defense, he only wanted to challenge Moshe's bottom line. He wanted to see how far he could go before Moshe snapped and well… now he had paid the price for it.
Throughout his life, his sexual enlightenment had been closely linked to his lover. It was sufficient to say that his lover had been his teacher as well as his partner. With him, Lu Yizhou learned what pleasure was and in exchange, tried to give him as much. Their sex life had been colorful and fulfilling, Lu Yizhou couldn't ask for more.
But with Moshe… Lu Yizhou could see nothing but darkness and rather than fulfilling, he thought he was going to explode and dissipate into dust.
Lu Yizhou pinched his brows in distress. Their interaction these past two months had been… eye-opening, to say the least. He thought being the 'top' meant that he ought to be the one who took the lead, and so he did. And if his lover wished to take control, Lu Yizhou would gladly support him along.
On the other hand, being the 'top' in Moshe's dictionary wasn't to lead, but to completely dominate the other. Lu Yizhou was robbed of his senses, his freedom, his will, his consciousness… and the only person whom he should rely on was Moshe.
He had always been in control of himself but now… not anymore. Moshe wasn't just taunting him, he truly was Lu Yizhou's 'owner'.
And that was how the guard found him a few minutes later, glaring at the apple core in his hand as if there was a huge enmity between them. He was none other than Ezra, one of the guards who had personally experienced Lu Yizhou's prowess when he escaped the mansion. Somehow, Ezra could even sense the chilly aura that enveloped the other. He shivered and cried out inwardly. Why should he be the one who was chosen to do this? Hadn't his life been pitiful enough?!
"Ehem…" He cleared his throat to draw Lu Yizhou's attention. "Aiden, Boss has ordered me to take you somewhere. I will give you five minutes to prepare yourself."
Lu Yizhou blinked. "Okay. Did he say where are we going?"
"No, just wear something casual."
Lu Yizhou's wardrobe had been filled to the brim. Moshe bought him a lot of branded outfits, yet somehow all of them had low collar, meaning he wouldn't be able to hide the teeth marks on his neck that had become a conspicuous, bumpy scar. Not that Lu Yizhou had anything to complain about.
He got into the car and Ezra drove them to a… high-end tailor shop?
"Welcome to our humble shop, Master Aiden." Two rows of attendants lined up in the front door to receive him, they might as well roll out the red carpet. The interior was washed with a warm, golden light. A few spotlights were flashing on the men's suits that looked like they could cost a leg. The whole atmosphere was cozy and luxurious at the same time.
Lu Yizhou had lived in unimaginable wealth and riches in the previous worlds thus he only offered a blink.
What amused him to no end was how the people who attended to him were middle aged men with ordinary faces that could get lost in the crowd. Wasn't there a requirement on appearance for a front job like this? Where had Moshe found these people from?
Also the timing… Did Moshe plan to bring him along to the Wind Group's charity auction?
"Master Moshe has given us orders on what kind of suits he would like. My name is Elias, and I have been in charge of Master Moshe's formal outfits for decades." The head tailor, who was an old regal man who looked like he had lived as a butler in the Victorian era, inclined his head politely and gestured inside. "Please follow me."
Lu Yizhou wasn't unfamiliar with this process of tailoring a suit, especially after living a life as CEO Lu. He obediently let the tailor take his measurements and tried a few sets of outfit when deemed necessary — and if Elias noticed the mark on Lu Yizhou's neck, then his eyelids didn't even twitch.
Elias was adjusting the length of his sleeves when the door to the fitting room opened and Moshe sauntered in. "Good evening, Mr. Elias, I—" Moshe stopped in his tracks when he caught a clear sight of Lu Yizhou, his eyes widened by a fraction, unblinking.
"Ah, Master Moshe, please forgive this old man for not welcoming you." Unaware of Moshe's dazed look, Elias straightened Lu Yizhou's lapels and harrumphed in satisfaction. "I must say, you have a good eye for a partner. His body proportions are ideal and so is his posture. He looks like he's made to dress in suits every single day! Do you wish to tailor not only formal suits but everyday wear as well? I can guarantee— Master Moshe?"
"Ah?" Moshe blinked, cleared his throat and tore his gaze away. Under the sunset that poured in through the glass to ceiling window, his cheeks looked suspiciously red. "Oh, let's go with your suggestion. I trust your skill, Mr. Elias…"
Lu Yizhou resisted a smirk. For once, he could acutely guess what was running through Moshe's mind. The suit Elias gave him was a prototype, a plain one without any embellishments. But it had been adjusted to highlight the breadth of his shoulders before it tapered down to his toned waist. He put a hand into his pocket and slowly strutted toward Moshe.
"How is it?" He said, leaning into Moshe's ear. "Do I look qualified enough to be your partner, Master Moshe?"
