"Skill card 'Rose Gun', a reward for the special quest." Diana lowered the rifle and it transformed into a glowing card in her hand. "The accuracy of each shot is 99%. Not only that, the bullets have already been soaked in pure holy water and bathed under the moonlight for 49 days. Against a black witch like you, it can be considered as kryptonite to superman."

Then before anyone could react, a strip of white silk suddenly shot out of her sleeves. The white silk seemed to have a will of their own as they shot past Lu Yizhou to wrap around Baines. With Diana holding onto the other end of the silk, Baines would have nowhere to escape to. 

"Skill card 'White Silk', it's similar to Ji Yan's golden canary except it can be broken if the enemy is way stronger than the skill wielder." Her gaze turned sharp as she told Baines. "But you're clearly weaker than me."

Baines, who was struggling to get free: "..."

Ji Yan and Olivia's jaws were so wide that a duck egg could be stuffed inside. Since when did their most timid and quietest teammate become so badass?

On the other hand, Lu Yizhou could only offer her a perplexed look. Diana was clearly very powerful. If she could be transferred into Baines' body then she could definitely break free because she was stronger than these humans. It was only this damn cage that was blocking her power! "Not impossible." Lu Yizhou pushed her deeper into the pit of despair. He had no idea how his lover could be split into three in this world but Maureen should have a hand in it. He would not let go of anyone who had hurt his lover! With a mocking sneer, he said, "You've thought too highly of yourself… sister."

Baines was a bug. Slipping from Maureen's grasp must be as easy as snapping a finger for him. After all, his skill was to create errors inside the simulator. 

"Nooo!!!" Maureen cried out. She belatedly realized that there was only one fate left for her: death. Her features were contorted in fear. "I don't want to die! I don't want to die!!" Her gaze found Lu Yizhou, wild and panicked. "Sister, you… you are a white witch, you can heal me! Please… I am your big sister, how can you abandon me like this?!"

Lu Yizhou's eyes remained cold as Maureen's body gradually dissipated into ash, the vestiges of her body transforming into a silvery whirlpool that shot right into Lu Yizhou's body!

A sharp gasp escaped his lips as his heart thudded in his chest. All of a sudden, his whole body was burning, so hot that it felt like he had plunged straight into a sea of magma. Something was transforming inside him, he could tell. It was like the empty space he never knew existed was now filled to the point of bursting. At some point, his legs suddenly gave up beneath him and he fell on his knees.

[666: Host!]

Ozzie tried to fly toward him only to be repelled by the blinding light that emanated from Lu Yizhou's body.

"No— nonono! This is not finished yet!" Ji Yan exclaimed frantically. "We still have things to do!"

However, the system of this world was not a sentient being who had its own will like 666. It could only calculate the progress of each quest based on the event development. As long as a certain criteria was met, then the quest would automatically be cleared and players would be able to leave. Everyone knew this. But to their utter surprise, the same whirlpool did not form under Lu Yizhou and Diana's feet.

Supposing that Lu Yizhou was an NPC, then he would not continue to play the game. But what about Diana?!

"Farewell." Diana nodded in acknowledgement with a calm look on her face. She had accepted her fate. Her system was gone and now… it was up to her on how to return to her rest station. "Thank you for your help and I'm sorry… I deceived you before. Good luck on your future quests."

Olivia's face turned ugly. It was unknown what she was thinking but she whispered something into Ji Yan's ears. Confusion painted Ji Yan's features but in the end, he nodded. Before both of them could be brought away, Ji Yan suddenly threw a card in Lu Yizhou's direction. "Use this! Olivia said you're going to need it!"

The card floated in front of Lu Yizhou but because he was still struggling to keep the rampaging power inside him at bay and could not react in time, it was automatically saved into his storage.

Amidst the sensation that wrecked through his whole body, a notification sounded loud and clear.
