8.113 Like What You See?*

From the privacy screens, low-heeled leather boots stepped out, followed by legs clad in black trousers whose hem was stuffed into the aforementioned boots, exuding firmness and determination in each step he took.1

Crimson cape fluttered behind him, clasped only on one shoulder. His blonde hair was no more and in its place was sleek, luscious silver hair which draped to his waist like a waterfall of moonlight. A prop sword was strapped around his slender and powerful waist, yet on him, somehow it looked like a real sword instead…

Everyone seemed to hold their breath as the man finally stepped out from the privacy screens to address the crowd, their tongues tied and hearts thumping wildly in the face of absolute beauty and deathly danger mixed into one.

His piercing silver eyes swept over everyone indifferently yet for some inexplicable reason, everyone had the same impression that he was really going to pull out his sword in the next second…

Photographer Song's phone fell to the ground with a clatter. Amidst the stifling silence, his breathless voice sounded loud and clear, snapping everyone out of their reverie, "B–Bravo!!"

A full second of pause and then, an ear-deafening scream reverberated through the air.

"Oh my God, oh my God, what am I seeing?!"

"Please… my heart is not strong enough. This big brother's handsomeness is off the charts! Why isn't he a model? Once again, why isn't he a model?!"

"Wait, am I the only one who has the impression that he's the king pretending to be a… a knight or hunter or something like that?!"

"What?! Is it to pursue the elf prince?!"

Another round of squeals resounded. Seeing Ellen and Chu Lingshe pose together was fine, it was just admiring two beautiful people who stood side by side. But this was totally different… As soon as their eyes landed on the silver-haired man, it was like they could recite ten thousand words of his tale, filled with boiling blood of war and romance that tugged on their heartstrings.

Ellen was staring at the man in daze, his ears no longer registered whatever Sister Chen was telling him about. His surroundings faded away and all he could see was that gorgeous face and silken silver hair. Flashes of images popped up in his mind with the speed of lightning strikes, so fast that he could not catch on it.

"The forbidden romance between the human king and the elf prince." The director was shaking due to excitement. "Song, you have finally achieved your life long goal!"

"Yes…" Photographer Song was so moved that he was going to burst into tears at that second. "I knew it… I knew that he could pull this image off."

This had been his secret project which nobody knew except for a handful of people who worked directly under him. He wanted to launch a series of photos which could capture a thousand scenes, the heart-throbbing forbidden romance, the maddening passion between the leads pursued by separation of life and death…

One of the reasons why Photographer Song liked Ellen very much was because Ellen perfectly portrayed the image of the elf prince in his mind. Delicate, beautiful yet dangerous at the same time… just like a thorny rose. In one glance, he knew that Ellen would do a perfect job on it.

There was only one obstacle; a very massive and headache-inducing obstacle.

He had been searching for the elf prince's match for years. Alas, so far his effort had not borne any fruit. He had gone through all the models and actors he could think of but none could even come close to the image he desired. He wanted a man who could make people's blood boil in one glance, who could mesmerize and intimidate the crowd with his presence alone. A man who was like an unsheathed ancient sword, deadly powerful yet forlorn and lonely at the same time…

Photographer Song's eyes misted and the long lost passion within his chest stirred once again. When Lu Yizhou walked toward him, he directly asked, "How long can you hold your breath under the water?"

Lu Yizhou did not expect that question to come out of nowhere. He had just wanted to approach Ellen only to be stopped by this. He paused to consider. He had actually gone through formal training for holding his breath underwater and the highest record he had achieved so far was fifteen minutes. But he thought that Photographer Song would be frightened if he was honest so he said tentatively, "Five minutes, give or take?"

Photographer Song cried out. "Perfect!" He looked like he was one second from prostrating under Lu Yizhou's feet. His spirit was rekindled and he began to command the stage. "Adjust the lightning! Turn on the lights in the swimming pool! As for you—"

"Lu Yizhou."

"Yes, Xiao Lu, go and make acquaintance with Ellen. Strengthen up your intimacy. I want to see a passionate and toe-curling rendezvous, got it?!"

Lu Yizhou: "..." He actually did not get it at all but whatever.

After Photographer Song shooed him away, Lu Yizhou took steady steps toward the little leopard who was ignoring him again. His effort was so commendable that he even held his phone upside down. Lu Yizhou quietly smiled to himself and plucked the phone out of his hands.

Ellen snapped his head up angrily in time for Lu Yizhou to lean down and prop his hand on the spine of the chair Ellen was sitting on. His long wig slipped over his shoulder like a bowl of silver silk. Their eyes clashed, golden and silver, and for a split second, everything faded away — the people busying around, the fervent fans, the flashing cameras — and Lu Yizhou whispered into his ear, "Like what you see?"

Ellen's lips parted subconsciously at their close proximity only to close again, speechless.

Unable to help himself, Lu Yizhou reached out to rub his pointed ears. "What have I done to make you sulking like this, hmm?"

"I…" Ellen abruptly stood up and glared up at him, the tip of his ears flushing red. "I am not sulking!"

So adorable. Just like a kitten brandishing his little claws.

"Oh?" Lu Yizhou straightened up. Ellen wore nothing but a pair of simple fluffy slippers which were easy to take off whereas Lu Yizhou's tall height was even more boosted by the three centimetres heels. He easily towered over Ellen's slender figure and reached out for his hand, bringing it to his lips for a gentlemanly kiss. "Then may I ask why you're ignoring me, my beloved elf prince? Is it possible that… I am so ugly that you can't even bring yourself to look at me?"
