8.121 Such A Pity*

The afternoon photoshoot session started shortly after lunch break. Once again, Lu Yizhou accompanied Ellen to eat in his room, trying all kinds of ways to coax the little leopard not to be angry anymore. They tacitly did not bring up anything regarding the werewolf game and instead, spent a leisurely time together. With them bantering back and forth like this, it was like they were an ordinary pair of lovers who had come to enjoy the vacation.  0

It was simple, yet a pang of pain struck Lu Yizhou's chest for how difficult it was for them to have this kind of simplicity. 

Ellen's temper did not last very long. Although he was the most difficult version of his lover Lu Yizhou had ever met, deep down they were inherently one and the same. Lu Yizhou had had a rich experience of being a loving lover and husband. He needed not to do anything extensive. Just pampering Ellen with his favourite food was enough to douse his anger.

Lu Yizhou carefully wiped the corner of Ellen's lips after the man finished eating. He asked with a gentle tone. "Is it delicious?"

Ellen, whose belly was full and heart sweeter than honey, simply had no way to resist such an affectionate tone. Hence, he only turned his head away and harrumphed.

Lu Yizhou quietly smiled to himself. That was how he knew that the problem was solved, albeit temporarily. 

This afternoon, Ellen was still dressed as an elf prince whereas Chu Lingshe was a fairy princess. Because Photographer Song had witnessed the burning passion between the elf prince and the human king earlier, he could not continue to make these two people a CP[1]. In the end, Photographer Song only managed to create a dreamy and harmonious atmosphere and let them become a pair of besties. Anyway, no sane people would refuse to enjoy the beautiful aesthetic of the two.

Not to mention the photoshoot crews, even the fans could spot how different Photographer Song's attitude right now was compared to earlier. Just this morning, he had been so full of excitement, skipping here and there like a child and kept shouting praises as if he could not help it. But now… his attitude could only be described as 'perfunctory'.

"Ellen, sit on the rock and cross your legs. Chu Lingshe, stand behind him. Yes, just like that. Alright." There was a click and the photo was taken. Just like that, he waved his hand and turned away. "Five minutes break."

Chu Lingshe's hardcore fans were dissatisfied. "Why is he acting like this?" 

"Yeah, my Goddess Lingling is posing for him but he doesn't even utter a word of praise."

"Who does he think he is? So annoying!"

The sensible fans could not help but sneer at these brain-dead ones. Majority of them had been bewitched from the morning's photoshoot session and hence, they understood how Photographer Song was feeling. This mild and sweet atmosphere simply could not be compared to the sizzling session this morning; even the air was crackling with the intensity of their undisguised passion!

"You don't know who Photographer Song is? He has taken photos of many world class supermodels before. Chu Lingshe can only be considered as a rising rookie. She doesn't even have an award under her name. It's already good that Photographer Song is willing to take this project on."

"I agree. I have said that the atmosphere between Ellen and Lingling is not suitable for a CP. Now I am relieved that they have put a stop to it."

"Hmm-mm, I like both of them. But to have them form a CP… it doesn't feel right. Compared with the king, the chemistry between Ellen and Lingling is only mediocre."

"Speaking of the King, where's that handsome big brother? Has anybody seen him?"

Lu Yizhou's appearance had impacted them too much and unknowingly, he had formed a small fan club. Now these people could not let his domineering image out of their mind and subconsciously, they started to look around for him. However, there was not even a hint of Lu Yizhou anywhere. Their shoulders sagged in disappointment. 

"What is this? Don't tell me that the big brother is only a one-time stand-in?"

"Nooo, I still want to watch him pose together with Ellen!!"

Although Ellen and Chu Lingshe could not hear what the fans were talking about, they could more or less guess it from the atmosphere. Ellen unscrupulously yawned to show his boredom and waved his hand casually. "Is there something to munch on, Sister Chen? I feel like I will fall asleep if this goes on."

This… This was blatantly saying that Chu Lingshe was not as good as the stinky and inexperienced bodyguard who crashed the set this morning! Chu Lingshe's little assistant was almost angered to death. She saw red and rolled up her sleeves, intending to fight it out with Ellen only to be held back by the actress herself.

"But Sister Lingling, he…!"

Chu Lingshe gave her a look. Aggrieved, she could only back away while glaring at Ellen. 

"Oh, I am sorry." Ellen acted like he had only realized Chu Lingshe's presence albeit the woman had been sitting beside him from the start. "I didn't mean anything by that, Miss Chu. Please don't take it to heart."

Chu Lingshe gave an understanding smile. However, what she really thought in her heart, only she knew. "It's okay, I know how easy it is to be sleepy after lunch. No need to be so polite, just call me Lingling. Did you not sleep well last night, Ellen?"

"Hmm, no. I was sleeping like a baby." Ellen took the melon Sister Chen already cut and started to munch on it. He propped his chin and grinned, showing rows of pearly white teeth… just like a little leopard who was silently baring his fangs. "I don't know why I am so sleepy either."

The corner of Chu Lingshe's eye twitched but her smile did not falter. "Are you angry because I recommended your bodyguard to Photographer Song?" She threw that straight ball out of nowhere.

Ordinary people would be taken aback by that sudden question and inadvertently show a glimpse of their true emotions. Unfortunately, the one she was dealing with was Ellen, this tough to crack nut that even Lu Yizhou was helpless with. Ellen opened his golden eyes wide in a show of genuine surprise. "Why should I be angry? It's such an honor to be chosen by Miss Chu. I'm certain he is very happy!"

Even a deaf could hear the sarcasm veiled in his tone. It's an honor? The man was very happy? Hah! He did not even show his face right now despite Photographer Song's direct invitation, making the latter so disheartened that he lost the mood to go on with the photoshoot! Alas, no matter how angry the little assistant was, she could only grumble quietly while cursing Ellen a thousand times in her mind. 

Chu Lingshe covered her mouth and laughed gently. "That's good if he's happy. I was afraid that I unknowingly offended the two of you. After all, I heard that your relationship is a little special."

"No, it's the contrary." Ellen also laughed. "You have done us a huge favor. Our first couple photoshoot was taken by Photographer Song himself! Where can we find such amazing luck if not for Miss Chu's intervention?"

Both of them stared at each other and laughed good-naturedly, the atmosphere between them was so harmonious that the fans could not help but squeal. "Look, their friendship is real!"

From afar, Photographer Song called out. "Come and gather, everyone!"

"I want to go to the bathroom first." Ellen patted his hands and got up. He nodded politely toward Chu Lingshe. "Please excuse me, Miss Chu." When he turned around though, the smile on his face vanished and there was a cold gleam on his eyes. Bitch, he spat inwardly.

Similarly, Chu Lingshe's smile turned colder as soon as Ellen turned his back to her. The little assistant was so afraid that her actress would feel wronged and hastily comforted her, "Don't think too much about it, Sister Lingling. He's only a third tier model, he can't even be compared with your pinky finger. So what if Photographer Song praised him a bit? Such an arrogant and despicable man definitely can't stay long in the industry!"

"Hush, lower your voice," Chu Lingshe warned. She swept her gaze around surreptitiously and twirled a lock of hair between her fingers. Nobody knew that she was looking for a certain someone. Her eyes turned downcast when she couldn't find him and she could not help but sigh. "Such a pity…"
