8.126 Oncoming Storm*

The game lasted for five hours and there were four of them. It was greatly different from the night Lu Yizhou snuck in where there were only two people, making it easier for Captain Rong to hunt. Lu Yizhou had the blueprint and he already memorized it in heart. All he had to do was to get through these five hours safely.

First, he would hide as long as he could. If it went well, then he could play 'hide-and-seek' and evade Captain Rong for three hours. There were three other werewolves which needed the captain's attention so he would not necessarily hunt Lu Yizhou alone. If Lu Yizhou was lucky, he could even drag this guerilla tactic for four hours. 

The last hour would specially be reserved for the fight.

By then, Captain Rong would have already expended his energy and perhaps, his belly would already be full with others' flesh, making him satisfied and sluggish. When the time came, Lu Yizhou would catch him off guard and launch a surprise attack. 

It was the best plan he could think of and the probability of succeeding was more 85%... until now! Every plan in Lu Yizhou's mind had gone down the drain and he could only run for his life. He would not so stupid as to challenge Captain Rong head on when he was still full of energy. 

Damn it! Why the hell would he appear in Lu Yizhou's hiding place of all people? How could his luck be so shitty?!

[666: A–A–AH HOST! CLOSE… HE'S SO CLOSE QAQ!!]

[Shut up!] Lu Yizhou gritted his teeth. 

Even without 666 telling, he could tell that Captain Rong was hot on his trail. The beast's steps were way longer than him and Lu Yizhou had to run twice faster in order to match him. Once, the beast's claws were so close that Lu Yizhou was almost caught by the neck. Fortunately, his reflex kicked in and he lunged forward to roll on the ground, his breathing uneven. 

He could not continue running like this… He had to shake the beast off somehow!

Lu Yizhou's eyes remained sharp as he surveyed his surroundings. Even with the scythe of death brushing against his throat a few times, his mental fortitude remained steady, if not even more alert. He deliberately ran to the shaft that connected the two floors, jumped up using the turbine while his hand grabbed the shaft as a leverage to spin midair. Lu Yizhou somersaulted twice and landed on the first floor on his feet. 

He looked down coldly at Captain Rong.

This time, Captain Rong did not insist on chasing after him and turned away to hunt another instead. 

Just as he expected, Captain Rong might be strong physically and his speed could not be trifled with. But in terms of agility, he was way lower than Lu Yizhou. At least, he would not be able to climb between floors otherwise this game would be a dead end and all players could only wait for death…

Lu Yizhou heaved out a sigh of relief when the beast disappeared from his sight. He wiped the sweat on his chin and looked around before taking a direction to go.

[666: Oh my Admin God, that is so stimulating! It was so, so close! If Host had not dodged in time, we would have become a human skewer by now!]

Lu Yizhou scoffed. [Am I that easy to kill?]

[666: Yes, yes, Host is formidable and powerful. Host's life force is so strong that cockroaches can only bow down to you!]

Lu Yizhou: "..." Why did that sound kinda weird?

Due to the loud engine, Captain Rong's footsteps were muffled. Even the vibrations on the ground were almost negligible. If one did not remain alert at all times, then it would be so easy for Captain Rong to do a sneak attack. By then, it would be too late for the players to escape.

Lu Yizhou sighed. Even he was not certain if their earlier chase had already been found out by others. Just as he was thinking about it, there was a piercing scream from the far corner. It was the hot-tempered man. "Help! Help—aaahhh!!!" 

Lu Yizhou grimaced. It was only his imagination yet somehow, he could almost hear the sound of chewing and bones breaking under Captain Rong's beastly fangs. He shook the grotesque image out of his head and rushed straight to another hiding place he had marked.

Now, everything finally went according to plan.

Lu Yizhou had no idea, but as soon as he was locked in the engine room, the situation outside had rapidly spiralled out of control.

The originally clear blue sky had turned gloomy. Thick clouds swirled overhead and seagulls were flying around in panic. Silver lightning struck across the horizon, signalling the start of a enormous storm. The crews were observing the weather uneasily. "We have checked the weather forecast and it has been confirmed that the next seven days will be bright and sunny. Where does this storm coming from?"

It was not the end. The calm sea had become tumultuous, it was as if something deep within was on the verge of breaking to the surface.

Due to Chu Lingshe's brutal death, a grave atmosphere enveloped the entire ship. The fans chose to remain inside their rooms because the awaited meet and greet session was cancelled. However, a few idle people would still choose to stroll around outside. By then, someone would spring out from the dark shadow and kill them with weird abilities. After that, their bodies were quickly disposed to the sea. 

Blood painted the calm undercurrent and the storm was coming soon.

Outside room 305.

Sister Chen knocked on the door worriedly. "Ellen, are you okay? Please… don't be too sad, okay?" She bit her lips, confused as to how to comfort the person inside. Ever since Lu Yizhou was convicted and brought away, Ellen had locked himself in the room and refused to take any calls. If this was not a ship where there was no place to escape to, Sister Chen would have already called the police to report a missing person. 

She let out a heavy sigh for the nth time. Things had already come to this point, even cursing Lu Yizhou up to his thirteen ancestors was useless. Sister Chen could only soften her voice and said, "I will come and check up on you again later. If you need something, don't hesitate to call me. Okay?"

Of course, there was no answer from inside. Sister Chen could only turn away, dejected.

Nobody knew that the room inside had been turned upside down. It was as if a mini typhoon had come and paid a visit. The furniture was overturned, glass fragments strewn all over the floor and the lightbulbs flickered unstably. 

Ellen was sitting on his bed, curled up as small as possible with his legs pressed on his chest. His body was trembling and his lips murmured again and again. "He will be okay. He has said it… he will definitely be okay…" His eyes were in daze and it was like he had completely lost his soul.

And then, something shocking happened.

The originally dim golden eyes swirled into crimson and Ellen's pale face suddenly twisted in malice. "Even this world wants to hurt him…!" He gritted his teeth so hard that his gums bled. Voices were arguing inside his head, one atop of the other, so noisy that his eyes turned bloodshot. Coupled with his messy hair and the gradually deepening crimson in his eyes, he looked just like a devil who had crawled up from the depth of Hell for revenge.

"Shut up! So what if he knows?!" Ellen growled in anger and the voices in his mind shrunk as if frightened. "We only need to do it again. This world is useless… Yes, we have to create a new one… A new one where nobody can hurt him. A new one where we're totally in charge and nobody can touch him ever again…" He murmured again and again.

Thunder struck fiercely, illuminating the cruel glint in Ellen's crimson eyes. 

Far in the distance where it was impossible to be seen by human's eyes, the overcast sky issued a crack as though an invisible force had punched it.
