8.127 Hurry!*

Lu Yizhou leaned against the wall and covered his bleeding abdomen. His face was ghastly pale and cold sweat ran down his back in buckets. His head was buzzing due to the blood loss yet there was nothing he could do to treat the wounds. For starters, there was no medicine or bandage in this damned place and second, his wounds were too severe to be treated casually!

[666: H–H–Host, your injuries… Your intestine is almost hanging out of your body uwaaa! At this rate, you will die of blood loss in less than an hour!]

Lu Yizhou swallowed the blood that surged up his throat and glanced down at the hole on his stomach. A curse slipped out of his mouth. Even he knew that he could not go on like this. Captain Rong hunted mainly with his nose and with Lu Yizhou bleeding profusely like this, it was like using himself as bait for the beast!

Fuck! He had underestimated how shitty this game could be!

At first, his plan went well. During the first four hours, he evaded and hid from Captain Rong, truly playing the game 'hide-and-seek' with the cannibal. Lu Yizhou had no doubt in his stealth ability and he was certain, if there was only one person who could get out of this place alive, then it would be him.

Oh, how naïve he was.

During the first hour, the hot-tempered man had fallen. His corpse was gnawed on until he was almost unrecognizable. After that, there was peace for a while. Apparently, Lu Yizhou and the other two players had the same thought. They preferred to avoid direct confrontation and opted to fight at the very last hour. This way, they could save their energy and the possibility that they would survive after five hours was also higher. 

In this tense atmosphere, four and a half hours passed.

Alas, nobody could have ever foreseen that the game would turn into hellish mode during the last thirty minutes! Presumably because Captain Rong could not find his prey, he suddenly activated rage mode and to everyone's dismay, the second Captain Rong appeared!

That's right, there were two 'big bad werewolves' inside the engine room.

Not only that, he also became faster, bigger and more powerful! 

As soon as the second one appeared, the other man who had a calm temperament was caught off guard and was devoured into pieces, his desperate cries reverberated through the air as he begged for anyone to save him. Unfortunately, nobody, not Lu Yizhou and the last woman, could help him…

Just like that, it became two versus two. 

Lu Yizhou had no choice but to fight Captain Rong head-on because he would not leave him alone. He had expected to deal severe damage to the beast but unfortunately, he found that the crowbar he had chosen as a weapon had no effect against Captain Rong at all! 

His skin was as thick and hard as steel and Lu Yizhou felt numbness crawling up his arm when the crowbar made contact with Captain Rong's bulging muscle. Let alone injured, Lu Yizhou could not even put a scratch on him! 

Taking advantage of the split second when he was caught off guard, Captain Rong swept his enormous claw and tore Lu Yizhou's abdomen apart. After that, Lu Yizhou had to rely on his agility and slipped away from Captain Rong's reach with much difficulty.

Alas, the damage had been done. 

Blood was pouring out of his torn abdomen, drenching his clothes crimson and dripping to the floor in a steady stream. The last time he had suffered such a serious injury was when Baines was beating him up like a sack. Even then, he still had his healing ability to patch the wounds for him. Even in the brink of death, he still had a few plans up his sleeves. But now…

Now, he was truly helpless. His energy was rapidly depleted and his condition was fatal due to the blood loss. He had no healing ability nor could he pull out a weapon to fight against the beast.

In this enclosed space, he had truly become a prey who could only wait for the predator to devour him…

A high-pitched scream nearby snapped him out of his reverie and he hastily straightened up. Only then did he realize how dangerous it was to stay in one place. Snap out of it, Lu Yizhou! There was no time to be distracted! All he could do right now was to survive until the time was up. He checked the system interface and found that there were 23 minutes left until the game would end.

Twenty three minutes…

He could bear it. He had already promised that he would return to Ellen. He couldn't let Ellen wait too long for him…

Lu Yizhou gritted his teeth and turned away. Alas, before he could even take two steps from that place, a dark shadow suddenly loomed above him. Lu Yizhou stiffened in shock. He only had the time to say 'fuck' before an enormous claw made contact with his battered body, sending him crashing to the rows of complicated machines.

He had been careless! Captain Rong had snuck in so close to him and he did not even notice! Damn it!

[666: AAAAH, HOST!!!]

Lu Yizhou staggered to get up, blood spilling out of his mouth. He glared vehemently at Captain Rong who was less than five meters away. Holy— had he gotten even bigger than the last time Lu Yizhou saw him?! There were no signs of blood around his mouth and that's how Lu Yizhou knew that this was the same beast who had thrown him into this peril.

His heart sank heavily in his stomach. This beast really would not leave him alone! 

His mind made a quick calculation and just as Captain Rong moved toward him, Lu Yizhou took the initiative to rush forward and lifted the bloody crowbar above his head. Captain Rong instinctively lifted his arm to shield the attack while the other arm was ready to pierce through Lu Yizhou's body like a soft tofu.

Alas, Lu Yizhou had no intention to fight him at all. In the split second before he reached Captain Rong, he abruptly shot out his leg, using Captain Rong's arm as a leverage as he grabbed the streams of pipelines overhead. 

He gritted his teeth as a searing pain tore through his body but he persisted and swung his body in a beautiful arc midair and rolled on the ground tens of meters away. Without stopping, he rushed forward as fast as he could. 

Behind him, Captain Rong let out an enraged roar at being fooled and chased after him.

Lu Yizhou turned his head and cursed when he saw Captain Rong only a few meters away behind him, so close that Lu Yizhou could see the greedy glint on his yellow pupils as though he was sure that he would be able to catch this slippery prey. Lu Yizhou accelerated his pace, ignoring the blood that splattered behind him while his mind rapidly turned to form a new plan. 

He could not go against Captain Rong head on. No matter what, he had to keep hiding and evade direct confrontation! But the most important question, how…? He could not even shake Captain Rong off his trail so how could he hide?

[666: H–Host, 666 has a bold proposition but… but 666 doesn't know if it can work or not!]

[Speak!] Lu Yizhou urged. At this rate, he was going to be caught anyway so he was willing to try anything to break out of the current situation!

[666: Well… you can't hurt this beast but what about… the other beast?]

Lu Yizhou's heart skipped a beat. He understood 666's meaning in an instant. Fighting head-on and evading were not feasible in his current condition. No matter where he hid, the beast would be able to find him from the blood trail he was leaving behind. Captain Rong's physique was so absurd that even Lu Yizhou could not manage to hurt him. But then, what about the other Captain Rong…?

Would they fight to obtain Lu Yizhou or would they cooperate to catch him?

This was a very risky plan and the cost of it was death but as of now, Lu Yizhou truly had no choice. Decision made, he turned to the direction of the stairs. Currently, he was on the first floor and he knew that the other Captain Rong was on the second floor based on the scream he heard earlier. [Lead me there!]

[666: A–Are you sure?! It's very dangerous!]

[Hurry!] Lu Yizhou had no time left. If this went on, then he would definitely be eaten. He would rather take a risk than to submit himself willingly! There were only two possible outcomes out of this plan: success and get out of here alive or die a painful death.

Lu Yizhou had always been a risk taker and he had a promise he had to uphold. The image of Ellen's smile, Ellen's worried gaze and the way his lonesome figure was standing as he watched him being sent to the engine room flashed through his mind like a broken cassette. Lu Yizhou's silver eyes burned with determination. Even if he had to lose a limb or a few chunks of flesh for it, he would crawl out of this goddamn place with the last breath of life!
