10.3 And Then...

At the moment, Percy still retained the temperament of a young master and a positive outlook in life that as long as he had the will, then God would definitely open a way for him. He totally did not expect that the inmates in Nightingale Prison would be so degenerate and made his life a living hell.1

Ninety nine percent of the population in the prison was male. Even if there was a woman, it would be once in a blue moon and the competition for them would be so brutal that many lives were lost in the process. The wardens already knew how hot-blooded these men were and thus did not dare to put the women amongst them. Hell, it would be like throwing a plump rabbit to a group of ravenous wolves! 

There were already a few incidents about this before. Because of the lawless environment, the rare women who had the shitty luck to enter Nightingale Prison ended up dying in less than a few months. The only way for them to survive was to hug a big shot there and prayed that he would not be bored of them, otherwise, the women would just be thrown away and died after being gang-raped for days. After this bloody example, the female inmates would then be detained in a separate place. Whether their fate would be better this way, nobody knew. 

The point was, these hot-blooded prisoners already lacked moral integrity to begin with. Coupled with the jungle law and the lack of entertainment inside the prison, they gradually developed a bloodthirsty and cruel nature. If there were no women, then beautiful men would do as well. As a matter of fact, men would be more resilient toward this kind of thing and thus, made their hunt all the more exciting.

As such, Percy Snyder, who had a high index in appearance that easily aroused a person's wicked desire, simply became a target for the hunt as soon as he entered the prison.

In that place, status, wealth and power meant nothing. Everyone only obeyed the strong while the weak could only submit. Everyday, Percy lived as if walking through thin ice. There were a few times where he was in the danger of being raped and it was all due to his desperation to fight them to death that he managed to escape with his chrysanthemum intact. But no doubt, after being in this place for a week, the prideful young master was already reduced into a wary and scheming man.

Not only was it so difficult to survive in the prison, it was also nearly impossible to get close to Pandora!

The floor Percy was detained on was F-level. The lower levels were dedicated to criminals with heavier crimes and Pandora, who was suspected of being the mastermind behind the purgatory ten years ago, was held in the bottommost floor — Z-level! It was a level which nobody could access at will. Even the warden who could patrol there was the one who had the highest clearance in security.

After a long time of cautious observation and scheming, Percy finally got the chance to be acquainted with a prisoner in S-level, Christian. 

He chose this person to be his backing after eliminating a hundred others. For instance, Christian had been in Nightingale Prison for more than two years, meaning that he would know much more about the situation here than others who only entered for a few months. Not only that, Christian also had quite a frightening reputation. It was said that he was also subjected to the hunt when he first came in. However, he managed to prove his strength and almost killed the people who cornered him, earning him a fearsome prestige. Nowadays, people did not dare to get close to him. 

If Percy could get his support, then his life in the prison would be much easier! He was already fed up of being the target of lecherous gazes and sexual harrassment!

Thus began the dog-blood drama between the two protagonists in this kind of lawless place.

Christian had a cold and aloof temperament. It was not like there was not any little brother who wanted to hug his thigh for the past two years, but because he was utterly disinterested in this kind of thing, he ignored them all. 

He began to pay attention to Percy because of his determination and persistence to live in this hellish place despite the dreadful environment. Other people would have already succumbed into the pressure, but this young man was akin to a rough diamond covered in dust. His green eyes were very dazzling, filled with fighting spirit and unwillingness to submit, and it unknowingly attracted Christian's attention.

When Percy first came to him with the intention to be his little follower, he had a 'let's see what you can do' attitude. The two people began a sexual exchange purely for the sake of protection. However, Christian did not expect that their bodies would be so compatible with each other. Unbeknownst to him, being inside Percy had become an ecstasy that he was not willing to give up on.

From the pleasure of flesh came a surge of protectiveness. Christian belatedly realized that his care for Percy did not stem only from the sexual exchange, but he truly became interested in this person called Percy Snyder. He really wanted to protect him and did not want him to come into harm. 

The development from a 'little brother' to 'little lover' naturally was not this smooth. There were a lot of staggering, dog-blooded situations which ended up becoming a stepping rock for the two protagonists to develop feelings for each other. They did not expect that in this hellish place, they would eventually find their soulmate whom they could go through life-and-death hardship together.

After knowing Percy's background, Christian's heart was moved and he readily agreed to help him get to the Z level.

Two years in Nightingale Prison gave him sufficient time to form an extensive network with the wardens and staff. It could be said that Percy's insight was truly marvelous. If it was any other person, it was still uncertain whether they could achieve what Christian did. 

The two protagonists schemed for nearly a year until finally they managed to create a chaos large enough to draw the attention of the most powerful warden in the prison. Then taking advantage of the blueprints they had obtained with much difficulty, they snuck toward the Z level where Pandora was being detained, a level where it was so dark and appalling that it was hard to believe someone could stay here for nearly a decade.

They arrived at the Z level and then…

There was no 'and then', the original plot ended abruptly just like that.

Lu Yizhou massaged his brow with a frustrated look. Even though their goal was distinctly different, 666 had conveniently summed up the question in his mind so there was no need for him to elaborate any longer. Not to mention that there was no conclusion, the plot didn't even mention the villain whatsoever! This was truly different from the simulation he had gone through before!

In the end, what was up with Pandora? What was the truth regarding the purgatory in Nightingale Prison ten years ago? Was Pandora really his lover?
