10.4 Have a Problem?

As Lu Yizhou was mulling over these questions, the bus passed through a magnificent steel gate akin to a fortress and came to a stop.  0

From his position, Lu Yizhou could see a four-story building dominated with gray and black. The atmosphere around the building was very bleak and the architecture made it seem like it was a set of coffins stacked together. However, he knew that those four stories were only for administrative purposes whereas the real prison was built deep underground.

Sturdy and fierce-looking guards with guns could be seen patrolling all over the place. The watchtower was equipped with searchlights and 24/7 monitoring. Even though the distance from the gate to the building was only less than five hundred meters away, there were a few sets of metal fences with electricity that they had to bypass. It could be seen how high-maintenanced the prison was. No wonder the government was not willing to give it up despite the brutal accident that had happened here.

"Keep it up!"

"Walk faster, dimwits! Nobody will wipe your asses here!"

"Go, go, go!"

Lu Yizhou lined up behind Percy as the young master staggered a few times from being shoved by a baton. Unable to bear it any longer, he turned back and glared at the perpetrator with furious green eyes. 

"What are you looking at?!" The guard barked out even more ferociously. "Do you want me to dig your eyes out, pretty boy?!" His stature was clearly twice as superior than Percy, not to mention that there was an imposing gun strapped to his waist. There was no chance of winning and thus, Percy could only swallow down his grievance and tried to keep up with the person in front of him. 

Satisfied, the guard turned to the person behind Percy — Lu Yizhou — and hit him with the same baton. "What are you waiting for? Do you want me to carry you inside?!"

In response to his sudden attack, Lu Yizhou only glanced at him carelessly before walking forward with long, measured strides. Unexpectedly, that one glance scared the guard so much that he broke out in cold sweat.

His partner noticed that something was off and went forward to inquire, "Hey, what's wrong with you?"

"N–Nothing…" the guard replied shakily as he wiped off the sweat on his forehead. "I must be thinking too much." That person was not particularly extraordinary, yet for some reason, the guard had an impression that a wild beast was biting him in the throat when that person glanced at him! Surely, he must be too tired after the eight hour shift…

Hmph, even if he was a fearsome criminal outside, he still had to obey the wardens and become their dogs in this place!

Once they entered the building, the prisoners were separated in two lines to be registered. Lu Yizhou still chose the same line as Percy. At the same time, he also observed his surroundings. 

In one glance, the security in the prison was so comprehensive with only a few rare blindspots that the possibility he could bypass them all was less than 10%. However, it was not impossible after all. The two protagonists could sneak into the Z level with the blueprints they stole from the warden's office, but Lu Yizhou had 666 by his side.

As he waited for his turn, he inspected the blueprint inside his mind. As he expected, to get into Z level was not a simple matter that could be solved in days. There were a lot of hidden traps and alarms that could only be deactivated with a special identity chip. One slight misstep would result in the whole prison being locked down. After that, Lu Yizhou would be strictly monitored and the matter of sneaking out again would naturally become more complicated.

Lu Yizhou narrowed his eyes thoughtfully. If it was possible, he wanted to get to Z level quickly so that he could confirm his lover's safety. Just from the original plot, one could already sense that something was off with this world. He would not be rest assured until he could see his lover with his own eyes. The easiest way to do that… firstly, he had to be detained in the level closest to Z. 

[Come to think of it, I forgot to ask. What is my identity's crime in this world?]

[666: Err… about that, Host…]

An ill premonition arose in his heart when 666 chose to hem and haw instead of answering. After his brows twitched in impatience, 666 finally surrendered and fearfully gave the information away. As soon as Lu Yizhou heard it, he immediately fell into a momentary silence, speechless.

[666: 666 swears, there is no conspiracy in this world! 666 doesn't know how things can be so coincidental as well! QAQ Host, you have to believe in 666!]

"Next!" The middle aged administrator spoke with an impatient tone. Without lifting his head, he flipped through the document in front of him and a flicker of interest showed up in his bored features. "Oh? The young master of Snyder Family?"

"What?" Percy raised his chin haughtily, even though he was feeling so humiliated that he wanted to cry. "You have a problem with it?!" He used to be someone whose appearance could only be seen by a handful of people. Even then, it always happened in high-profile banquets or important parties. In this kind of place where a lot of bad people gathered naturally made Percy very uncomfortable. Thus, he could only show a defensive reaction in order to protect himself.

The middle aged man grinned, revealing a row of yellow black teeth. "Hehe… I'd advise you to curb that temper if you want to survive here, kid."

Percy instantly paled as soon as he heard this ominous warning. However, before he could say anything in response, the middle aged man had shoved him a tray with clothes and basic necessity. "Change your clothes and get your photos taken over there. Don't lag. Next!"

Lu Yizhou took Percy's spot and stood in front of the middle aged man. Just like earlier, he was flipping through documents whilst muttering, "Let's see… the perpetrator of 502 case…" speaking up to here, he suddenly choked on his breath and snapped his head up with an aghast look. "T–The mad cannibal who slaughtered 23 people in one night, Leonard Wills?!"

Everyone in the vicinity instantly turned their head in a swish, their eyes widening in shock.

Unless they were living under a rock, they wouldn't not recognize the man in front of them! For starters, the case had garnered a lot of attention from the citizens. At first, everyone thought that this was a serial killing caused by an evil cult who drained their victims' blood and ate their flesh alive in order to complete a certain obscure ceremony. But who could have expected that… it would be a single person's doing?! His modus operandi could not be predicted, his victims came from all walks of life and background and he had evaded the police's chase for years, this kind of person simply suited his title as a madman!

"That's right," Lu Yizhou lazily curled up the corner of his lips, showcasing a pair of white tiger teeth. "Do you have a problem with it?"

His words were identical to Percy, yet this time the middle aged officer did not dare to look down on him! Nobody knew the brain of a madman, what if he were to suddenly go crazy one day and decided to eat his flesh?! He shuddered and hastily handed the tray over to Lu Yizhou, "N–Nothing, you can pass…"

Everyone could not help but be amazed, feeling like they had seen a walking legend. 

The news did not divulge his face in public and hence, they were surprised to find that the madman was actually so… charming! To be exact, he had a unique temperament that made him stand out amid the crowd. Handsome features, light ash-colored hair and piercing silver eyes, such a high-quality criminal was more rare than women! It could be predicted that he would create a new wave in the prison sooner or later. Who knew, he might become more sensational than Christian who had successfully overthrown a few long-term fixed positions soon after entering!

As the person who was abruptly forced into this identity, Lu Yizhou chose not to comment. It was not like he still wanted to eat raw flesh in this world… he was not the real Leonard Wills, for God's sake! Well, perhaps this might be a good thing. This way, there would be less people who would bother him for fear that they would be randomly eaten as well.

Lu Yizhou swiftly changed into his inmate uniform and discovered that he was being detained in S level, the same as the protagonist Christian. He could not help but frown. He already committed such a heavy crime but in the end, he only ended up in S level. He needed to get through a few more floors in order to get to Pandora.

What should he do? 

As he was lost in thought, he failed to notice that… in the corner, a certain someone was currently sneaking glances at him with a measuring gaze. It was none other than Percy Snyder.
