The youth's words had given Lu Yizhou some insights. To begin with, 'Pandora' was only a nickname that Percy had heard from his mother. Until now, it was still unclear where the woman had heard it from. Then, because of the unreliable narrator in the original plot, Lu Yizhou subconsciously assumed that 'Pandora' referred to his lover.

The corner of Lu Yizhou's lips tilted into a faint smile. "Then, what should I call you? Do you have a name?"

A brief surprise flashed through the youth's golden eyes at Lu Yizhou's mild reaction. Going by the usual practice, wouldn't humans scurry away from fear right now? He blinked and the gaze he directed toward Lu Yizhou gained a new kind of interest. "Up to you. You can also call me Pandora if you'd like. Take it as a special treatment. After all, only you are able to hear my voice in this place."

"Only me…?" Lu Yizhou asked, surprised. He had assumed that… everyone in the prison was able to hear him. Otherwise, where did the strange happenings come from?

Pandora nodded and his long hair slipped in front of his face. Some strands had even swept across the dirty ground. Lu Yizhou's fingers itched to tie it for him. Yet for some reason, when he wanted to take a step forward, he found that his body was unable to move as if there was an invisible chain restraining his limbs.

"Don't bother," Pandora offered him a chilling grin. "This is the first time I have been able to come into contact with someone else. I can't have you running away from me just like that, can I?"

"I won't run away." Lu Yizhou said helplessly. He then asked tentatively as he was afraid that he would be rejected, "It's just… your hair… Won't you let me tidy it up for you?"

A strange silence enveloped the space between them as soon as Pandora registered what Lu Yizhou was saying.

The youth stood there like a statue, yet somehow, Lu Yizhou could see a huge question mark floating out of his head. He could not help but chuckle. "How long has it been since you cut your hair? See, it has even touched the ground." He stared right into those scrutinizing golden eyes and smiled softly. "I won't run away, Pandora. Haven't you realized it? I come to this place only for you."

"...Because of the wish?"

Lu Yizhou shook his head. He did not blame the youth for misunderstanding. After all, there must be quite a lot of people who had been eyeing this mysterious power of Pandora. The ability to grant a wish, no matter how impossible it was, was indeed very tempting. However, Lu Yizhou was not interested at all.

"You," he said softly. "I have been searching for you."

Lu Yizhou recalled the song he had heard before. Despite the simple and innocent lyrics, it was full of loneliness, melancholy and pain, especially the last part which the youth had used to bewitch him over. He had asked Lu Yizhou to bring him to see the light. Lu Yizhou had no doubt that the words had come from the depth of the youth's heart. Whenever Lu Yizhou thought of the bone skeletons which had garnered a lot of dust in the Z-level, he felt like a sharp knife was stabbing into his heart again and again. Exactly what kind of suffering had this person gone through all this time?

As such, Lu Yizhou did not hesitate to promise with all earnesty, "I will bring you out of here."

Pandora was stunned by this bold declaration. His golden eyes flew wide, unblinking. It was unknown what was running through his mind as he gave a strange, cold laugh. "Even though you might cause something irreversible because of it?"

Pandora sucked in a sharp breath. For the very first time, the mask of composure on his face cracked to reveal the real feelings underneath. The fragile hope, the pain and helplessness… His lips parted to say something, yet without a warning, a familiar system prompt suddenly pierced through the isolated space they were in. Almost immediately, the scene in front of Lu Yizhou's face shattered into pieces, so did the golden-eyed youth who looked surprised by the sudden turn of events.

The restriction around Lu Yizhou's body loosened and he reached out a hand toward the youth in desperation, "Wait—!!"

Lu Yizhou's vision blurred and the next thing he knew, he was no longer standing in the empty hallway. He tasted blood on his throat and his head was ringing in pain. There was a circle of people around him, shouting and yelling in excitement. As for him, he was currently… crouching over someone, using his full weight to press that person on the ground. In less than two seconds, Lu Yizhou was able to comprehend his current predicament. In order to pull Lu Yizhou into that isolated space, Pandora must have done something to his body. And then… Christian attempted something which offended him greatly. Lu Yizhou finally registered what 666 was saying and his expression chilled a few degrees further. [He tried to touch Pandora?]

[666: Yes— wait, no! The person he's trying to touch is you, Host!!]

"How dare you." Lu Yizhou emitted an intense murderous intent as he stalked toward Christian. His knuckles cracked from how hard he was clenching his fists. He knew that the protagonist would not be anything good, but to try to touch his lover? He must have a death wish!

Christian: ??? I was beaten to a pulp by one personality and now, the other came out for revenge?

Lu Yizhou easily lifted Christian's collar, his eyes seeing red. He could not even hear the continuous warnings from the simulator as well as 666's panicked cries. Alas, before his fist could land on the protagonist's repulsive face, a soft body suddenly collided into him from behind followed by a pair of slender arms wrapped tightly around his waist.

"Don't—!"

As if someone had flicked a switch in him, Lu Yizhou's entire body froze upon hearing that voice. His pupils trembled in utter shock and disbelief. How… How could this be? Was he still dreaming? Had he not escaped from the illusion? He turned his head very, very slowly to look at the person who was hugging him from behind.

It was none other than the golden-eyed youth whom he had just seen a few moments ago!
