Lu Yizhou silently shook his head. [I don't understand either.] 

He could only play the situation by ear according to what the simulator would throw at him. Most importantly, Lu Yizhou had made the correct decision, he had not uttered such a stupid wish like Percy in the original plot. Because he wished for Pandora to be free of the curse, then in the end it should come into effect. Lu Yizhou heaved a little sigh of relief.

Pandora studied him closely and asked out of nowhere, "Do I know you?"

"Hmm?" Lu Yizhou raised a brow.

The youth was displeased by how Lu Yizhou pretended not to understand his question. He was not stupid. Ordinary people would have been scared out of their wits upon encountering him. But not only did this person not show an ounce of fear, on the contrary, he acted so… intimate! One would think that he was addressing his lover! 

Pandora's pale cheeks flushed again whenever he thought of the endearment Lu Yizhou had used to call him. This man was indeed the only one who could hear his voice, but to call him 'sweetheart' upon their first meeting… wouldn't it be too excessive?! Or had he been so out of the world that he could not keep up with the society trend nowadays?!

Of course, Lu Yizhou did not realize the turmoil he had set in Pandora's heart at all. He looked at the youth's thick, silken hair and felt his fingers itchy again. Standing up, Lu Yizhou quietly approached him and stretched out a hand toward the youth's face.

But before his hand could come into contact, Pandora immediately retreated a few steps and shot him a wary look. "...What do you want to do?" This person did not play by the rules at all. Pandora was unable to regain the upper hand because every single time, he would be taken aback by this person's bizarre behavior and words. How infuriating!

"Your hair." Lu Yizhou chuckled lightly. "Haven't I told you that I want to help you tidy it up?"

Pandora was rendered speechless. At first, he had assumed that Lu Yizhou was only babbling nonsense in order to distract himself from the fear. As it turned out, he was really serious with that?! "You… don't fear me at all?" he asked hesitatingly.

"You may need to try harder if you want to achieve that," Lu Yizhou responded with an amused smile. He tugged on Pandora's wrist and pushed him to sit down on the upper bunk. "Come here." 

Like this, their line of sight was finally on the same level and Lu Yizhou did not need to bend down in order to comb his hair. He had had a lot of experience in combing his lover's hair, especially in the fifth world with Terra who did not care about his appearance after having lived in the wilderness for years. Every morning, it would be up to Lu Yizhou to comb his lover's hair and he had enjoyed every single second of it.

With practical ease of having done it a thousand times before, Lu Yizhou carded his fingers through the smooth strands of brown hair and gathered it behind the youth's head. Then he pulled a rubber tie on his wrist and neatly tied the long hair into a high ponytail. 

Pandora was dumbfounded and could not react in time. When he snapped out of his stupor, he found that the world, which he had always seen through a thick curtain of hair, suddenly became bright and clear. Then, an extremely attractive face appeared in his line of sight. The corner of the man's lips tilted in a beautiful and captivating arc. "How is it?" The deep voice flowed smoothly into his ears like warm honey under the sunlight. "It's much more comfortable this way, right?"

Pandora stared at him blankly, then his face suddenly flushed in crimson. Against his fairly pale skin, the color was so striking it was as if blood could drip out of it.

"Don't… Don't get too close!" Pandora pushed the handsome face away, flustered. Then as if being scalded, he hastily retracted his hands and curled it atop of his lap. 

This person, how could he be so… promiscuous?! Smiling so handsomely like that, who did he want to seduce?! Pandora turned his head away with a harrumph. Tentatively, he reached out to touch the ponytail behind his head. He could not help but fall in a daze. Unexpectedly, having someone to take care of him like this felt so… nice. Pandora had never received such warmth from anyone before. As long as he could remember, he was already chained in that cold and filthy place where sunlight could not reach. 

How was it possible that this person was the only one who could hear him, Pandora could not figure it out either.

"I want to ask a few questions. Can I?" Lu Yizhou inquired.

Pandora shot him a distrustful gaze. He was afraid that this person would blurt out something that could take him off guard again. However, he was also curious about what he was going to say. So after much deliberation, he finally gave Lu Yizhou a gesture to go ahead.

Lu Yizhou held his eyes still and asked with a somber look. "Ten years ago… can you tell me what happened? Have you also made a wish?" 

He had keenly captured the keyword in the original plot — 'cycle'. It meant that this curse would occur again and again. So there must be someone else before Pandora. He had a hunch that it would not be so simple to bring the youth out of here. As such, Lu Yizhou wanted to see if he could dig into the truth on how the curse came to being.

Pandora stared at him with a blank look. "Ten years ago?"

"Mn," Lu Yizhou furrowed his brow. Why did it look like Pandora was really clueless about this matter? "Ten years ago, a bloody tragedy happened in this place. The prisoners started to kill each other brutally until no one remained. Reportedly… you are the only survivor out of that incident."

Genuine surprise flashed through Pandora's pale features. "Me?"

For a while, both of them stared at each other in confusion. 

"Wait a minute," Lu Yizhou finally realized that he had neglected a very important matter. He held his forehead and asked with an apprehensive tone. "How long have you been trapped here?"

Pandora shook his head. "I don't know. I… no longer remember anything about the past." Now he realized what Lu Yizhou wanted to know. He had never talked about this matter with anyone before, but… there was just something in Lu Yizhou's silver eyes that compelled him to talk more. Pandora fiddled with his fingers and decided to be honest. "Perhaps… since the prison is built?"

Lu Yizhou was rendered completely speechless by that answer. Nightingale Prison was the most notorious prison in the world with a long history. Since the time it was built, then it must be a couple hundreds of years ago! Had Pandora really been alive for that long?!
