Of all people, Pandora was the most surprised to hear that. "Huh? I control the corpses? Why didn't I know I have that kind of ability?" The confusion radiated from him was completely genuine and sincere.  0

…Well, even if he was lying, it did not matter to Lu Yizhou anyway. He would still take his lover's words as the absolute truth.

But if Pandora really did not lie, then there was only one explanation behind it — his memory loss and also the so-called important thing he had left behind in Z-level. Here comes the most important question. Why did Pandora lose his memory in the first place? Perhaps… they would be able to obtain all of the answers as long as they reached Z-level. 

Lu Yizhou asked Christian one last question, "Have you ever met Pandora before?"

Christian shook his head. "No, I only pieced together what I have heard from other people. There are people who have stayed here much longer than I. They were the ones who had witnessed Pandora's terrifying might with their own eyes. It's such a pity…" He trailed off and his expression suddenly turned ugly.

Lu Yizhou raised a brow. "What?"

"...They have all died," he said after a second of pause. "And their method of death was varied so that the warden could only rule it as coincidence. But it's a public secret that they died because they did a taboo thing. It is simple; they died the night after they uttered Pandora's name. That's why the warden has set a warning to prevent us from talking about him."

"But you talked about him." Lu Yizhou pointed out. "And you didn't die."

Christian pursed his lips and his face darkened, obviously recalling the fluke he had almost done the previous day. "I haven't violated the taboo yet. The warning stopped me in time."

Lu Yizhou hummed thoughtfully. Indeed, Christian had not uttered Pandora's name at all when he talked about the big boss.

There was nothing more he could ask and hence he told Christian, "Thank you for the information. Now, you should stay here and take good care of Percy. One more thing, you will erase this conversation from your mind." There were still two minutes left until the effect of 'Devil's Whisper' would wear out. 

Pulling his lover's hand along, Lu Yizhou shoved the two protagonists out of the elevator and stepped in himself. Then without any hesitation, he pressed the button to Z-level. With a soft ding, the elevator door slid close and descended smoothly. 

At the same time, Christian's dazed eyes abruptly turned sharp and focused as if he had been jolted awake from a long dream. He glanced at his surroundings in alert and saw that he had come to S-level at some point of a time. 

Christian was confused. The last thing he remembered was hearing someone's voice coming from here. Then he tugged Percy along and rode on the elevator. After that… there was an obvious blank in his memory. What had happened? He did not remember ever stepping out of the elevator and then, all of a sudden he found himself standing in the middle of the dark hallway. Moreover… he even had Percy in his arms?

Christian lowered his head and caught sight of the man's delicate pale face. It looked quite pitiful and pathetic. Even in his sleep, his brows were knitted tightly as if he was trapped in a nightmare. 

This man was really a scaredy-cat, he scoffed coldly. 

Christian had intended to drop him just like that, but then, recalling the passionate session they had shared back in the infirmary and how satisfying it had been for him, he forced himself to be kind just this once.

He put Percy down carefully and slapped his cheek with little to no force. "Hey, wake up." When he still did not show any signs of rousing after a while, Christian lost his patience and exerted more strength until Percy woke up with tears in his eyes.

"Ow!! It… hurts! What was that for?!" Percy clutched his throbbing cheek with a hiss. Since when had young master Percy been awoken in such a harsh manner? He shot a teary glare at Christian for the tyrannical abuse he had done.

At first, Percy was still a bit disoriented. However, when he opened his eyes wider and took in the familiar dark hallway in front of him, memories instantly poured into his mind like a tidal wave. All traces of fuzziness in his mind vanished with a poof due to the extreme fright. He subconsciously reached out to grab Christian's arm out of fear, his voice shaking badly as he looked around in frantic. "W–Where did they go?! Have they left already…?!" 

Lu Yizhou had only used his power on Christian. On the other hand, Percy, who was unconscious most of the time, still recalled the terrifying moment of meeting Lu Yizhou's inhumane eyes. He was certain that he would be having nightmares due to those eyes from now on!

Yet to his utter dismay, Christian showed a look of confusion! "Who are you talking about?" He asked, skeptical.

Percy's eyes flew wide in horror. His voice was hysterical as he cried out, "Leonard!! That person is not human! Oh my God, you really don't remember meeting him here?! What about Pandora?! Have you really forgotten everything?!!"

"Pandora?" Christian's eyes grew sharp as he latched on that one word. "Did you say Pandora was here? Impossible! He should still be detained at Z-level! And how was it possible for Leonard to be with him?" The doubt in Christian's eyes intensified. It was obvious that he did not believe a single word Percy had said. 

"I am telling the truth!" Percy almost wanted to cut his head open and showed his own memory to Christian so the other would realize that he had been put under a spell! He was so anxious that tears almost spilled forth his eyes. "You have to believe me! Leonard and Pandora were really here just now!"

"If what you said was true, then where are they now?"

Percy recalled that Lu Yizhou had put a special interest in Pandora and Z-level before he lost consciousness. He answered in a firm tone, "Z-level! They have gone to Z-level!"

Christian sneered coldly. This person had finally gone insane after encountering those corpses upstairs, he mused. Not only was it not possible for Pandora to be here, he was also aware that the corpses would be triggered once someone headed to Z-level. But now he did not sense any signs of movement from the upper levels.

Percy's gaze went through Christian's shoulder and he gestured to him excitedly. "Look, look! They have arrived at Z-level!" 

Christian turned his head and was stunned to see that the indicator above the elevator indeed showed that it had stopped at Z-level. How was it possible? Was Percy really telling the truth?!

Seeing the obvious shock and bewilderment in Christian's face, Percy pumped his fists and asked with an excited tone. "How is it? Do you believe me now?! I told you… none of them are normal! You have been brainwashed by Leonard!"

"Leonard…?" Christian mouthed the name with evident hostility and also the desire to dominate over the others. A violent storm brewed in his eyes, threatening to engulf everything into pieces. Without any warning, he suddenly stood up, walked to the elevator and pressed the button.

"W–What are you doing?" Percy asked, dumbfounded.

"What else?" Christian sneered. "To confirm if you're telling the truth, of course."

Percy recalled Lu Yizhou's terrifying devil eyes and how easy it was for him to control Christian with only one word. Colors drained from his face as he cried out, "Are you crazy?! You're no match for Leonard!"

That sentence sounded so damn annoying in Christian's ears and accurately struck him on his sore spot. His mood, which was not good to begin with, turned even worse. When the elevator door opened, he went back to Percy and forcefully hauled the other over his shoulder like he weighed no more than a potato sack. 

A surprised cry escaped Percy's throat. He stared at the approaching elevator with eyes wide in fear. "W–What are you going to do?! Let me go!!" 

He started to struggle and thrash around, trying to escape from Christian as far as possible. But it was futile. The grip Christian had around him was too strong, Percy could not even budge a bit! To begin with, the gap between their strengths was as far as the distance between Heaven and Earth. How could Percy stand a chance against this man?!

As he was struggling desperately — even resorting to kicking, punching and clawing — Christian already entered the elevator and pressed on the Z-level. 

Percy stared at the closing door as if it was the nail which would strike his coffin. His entire body was sapped of strength like a marionette whose strings were cut off. He did not even realize that tears were streaming down his face as he stared at the closed door with a blank look on his face. 

He did not know why but… for some inexplicable reason, there was a voice within him that warned him not to step foot into Z-level lest he would regret it. But it was already too late. He was really doomed now…

Christian's heart remained as hard as a rock. Without an ounce of gentleness, he dropped Percy to the cold floor and sneered down at him with a cruel glint in his eyes. "As the person responsible for spreading the information and the sole witness, of course you will be coming with me. We will catch up with Leonard…" he narrowed his eyes and added after a pause. "...and Pandora."
