Lu Yizhou's scalp turned numb. Thanks to Zhao Bolin, he had developed psychological trauma every time he heard the word 'tranquilizer'. He did not want to become weak and feeble again, especially not at a time like this!

This piece of information told him that there were fifty one people before him who had suffered through the same fate. As for their condition right now, Lu Yizhou had no way to find out for certain.

He skimmed through the thick document that recorded his growth from day one when his 'brain' was still kept in the nutrient solution, until it was finally implanted into a special artificial body when his brain activity reached 64%.

Lu Yizhou flipped through the document and understood the process of how a human experimental subject came to be.

This was done to reduce the possibility that the subject would turn aggressive on them as soon as they developed their psychic power. Or in other words, the researchers simply did not treat the subject as a person at all, or rather, it's just like how one would train a dog.

The main reason why they did not stimulate the brain activity to 100% before transplanting it was because they could not do it. The awakening of psychic powers relied on unknown criteria, but one thing for certain was, they could only be activated once the brain was already inside a body.

As for Lu Yizhou, he had awakened his psychic power when he was ten years old, which was considered as very early. Right now, he was already seventeen years old — seven full years after he completely ascended as a superior species. It could be seen that the researchers method of taming the subject by manipulating their naivety was truly effective. Even after seven years, 52 still thought that this was how a normal interaction should be done. He, inside the cage, and the researchers, outside.

He had been completely trained, the perfect dog through and through.

The researchers did not know what was wrong with him. There were no signs of rejection or infection, but he just did not regain consciousness after the surgery. No matter how they tried to give external stimuli to the brain, its wavelength remained at the bare minimum as if something was preventing him from waking up. 

It had been sixteen years since the operation. The artificial body had already grown up from a baby to become a beautiful teenager.

But unfortunately, he still remained in a deep coma.
