Lu Yizhou was stunned. Of course, it was because in the original plot, disaster descended upon the prison once Percy broke into the cage and freed his lover. Percy had opened Pandora's box which he should not and released all the evil and misery contained within. However, according to Greek mythology, hope would be the only thing remaining in the end. So that meant… 

Lu Yizhou sucked in a breath as realization suddenly dawned on him. The broken pieces of clues fell into place with a click and he felt like he could understand the true essence of this simulation.

A hundred years ago, in this underground institute, the researchers had never given up on rousing the youth from his deep coma. But they were not supposed to do it. Because once the youth was awakened, then a malicious curse would befall everyone here and evil would reign over the experimental subjects, turning this place into a bloody purgatory — this was the beginning of the curse in Nightingale Prison.

Let's not mention the additional permanent skill, but the origin of the curse as well as how to break it, shouldn't it have been included in the original plot as well?! Due to Lu Yizhou's turbulent emotions, the sensor around his neck suddenly issued a few little beeps and a few seconds later, he saw the number above the elevator lit up. Lu Yizhou's heart skipped a beat. Someone was coming here!

He did not have the chance to study the rewards he had received from the simulator. Instead, Lu Yizhou lay flat on the bed and closed his eyes, pretending to sleep. Only when the elevator door slid open and he heard the sound of rapid footsteps approaching did he crack an eye open as if roused from his slumber. He propped his elbow up and stared at the newcomer with a groggy look. "...What's wrong?"

[666: …Congratulations! After nine worlds, Host's acting skill has finally improved from unsightly to barely passable to trick some fools like this person! Of course, 666 is not included! Oh my Admin God, 666 is so touched that it wanted to cry!!]

Lu Yizhou ignored 666's useless comment and focused on the person in front of him instead. Although he had put on a drowsy look on his face, he was actually observing this person in a cautious manner. Like any other researchers in this place, the man also wore a long white coat outside his informal clothes. He looked in his fifties with sparse hair and deep wrinkles on his forehead. Thanks to Lu Yizhou's superb vision, he could see the nametag on the researcher's chest. 

Dr. Benjamin

Benjamin was scanning Lu Yizhou with an anxious look — not over Lu Yizhou's well-being, but afraid that he would suddenly go berserk and try to escape from the cage. Only when he confirmed that Lu Yizhou had indeed just woken up did he let out a sigh of relief. He showed a genial smile. "Did you have a bad dream, 52? The sensors have just informed me of an unusual wavelength in your brain."

"Hmm…" Lu Yizhou was careful with his answer. He knew that the dream of experimental subjects could not be taken lightly. After all, it was a possibility that they might awaken the psychic power 'Prophecy' through it. He swept a glance over the metal bracelets as well as the computers, and thought that he would not be able to hide for long. So why not just expose it from the beginning? 

"I have a dream…"

"Yes?" Benjamin followed up patiently.

"I saw myself lying on the bed, and then I walked through the metal bars as if I was invisible."

Benjamin's heart leapt to his throat and his sunken eyes lit up impossibly brighter. When he spoke again, his voice contained tremor from the excitement. "T–Then…?"

"Then, I continued to walk and arrived in an unfamiliar room. There was a person I hadn't seen before. He was sleeping deeply inside a cabin. His skin was pale, and he had long black hair that almost reached his knees…"

Benjamin let out a sharp gasp and he almost stumbled backward due to the shock. There was only one experimental subject that was currently sleeping inside the nutrient cabin! And 52's description matched perfectly with the person as well! 

However, it was an area that was heavily equipped with surveillance, so it was not possible for 52 to get there. Not to mention that he had not even gone out of this cage since he was born. And thus, there was only one possibility. This was a psychic ability! Oh God… 52 had once again awakened another kind of power!

"T–Then… what did you do after that?!" Benjamin had to hold onto the cage's metal bars in order to steady himself. His gaze on Lu Yizhou was excited to the point of ravenous. It was like he was a child eyeing a piece of imported candy.

Nonetheless, Lu Yizhou acted as if he noticed nothing. "Subconsciously, I reached out for him. I had a hunch that I would be able to enter his mind but…" he furrowed his brow and showed a little apprehension on his face. "...I woke up because you came in."

Benjamin was so excited that he almost fainted straight away. 52 had almost entered 55's mind — the most mysterious experimental subject in this institute! Everyone had been dying to know the reason why 55 would not wake up and if… if 52 could get inside his brain and discover the main cause, then this would be a massive breakthrough to their research!

No longer caring about Lu Yizhou, Benjamin stumbled to the computers and pulled up Lu Yizhou's current brain power. He almost cried out in shock when he saw the glaring 93% on the screen. Ninety three percent! Only seven percent left from a perfect God they were aiming for!! 

His fingers flew across the keyboard as he sent one message after another in their internal system. 

Ten minutes later, Benjamin stood up and gazed at Lu Yizhou with extreme excitement and thrill. However, his voice was firm as he said, "52, congratulations for awakening another power. We still have no data to conclude what it is and hence, we have decided to let you use it a little." He entered a string of command into the computer and the lock on the cage automatically clicked open. "Come out. We will bring you to the person you have seen in the dream."

Benjamin was so thrilled that he failed to notice the cold smirk on Lu Yizhou's face — one that foolish and naïve experimental subject 52 had never shown before.

Good, Lu Yizhou thought in satisfaction, this was precisely the outcome he was aiming for.
