Everyone was shocked. What were those corpses doing to cause the ground to shake so badly? Were they doing gymnastics or something like that?!2

Lu Yizhou's speculation was different though. He suddenly recalled the warning in the skill description. According to it, this skill would be very difficult to use because of how complicated a human's mind could be. It even went out of his way to told Lu Yizhou not to die unless he wanted to become mentally retarded in reality… 

Now he realized what the system was talking about. As it turned out, there would be a hidden danger that would prevent him from going further!

The prison was buried deep underground and whatever the corpses were doing upstairs, they had caused debris and thick dust to fall from the ceiling. The walls issued a loud crack and rumble as if it was going to shatter anytime soon.

If this went on, then the entire level would collapse and they would be buried inside! The realization dawned on the three people's minds at the same time.

Lu Yizhou rushed inside the cage and tugged Pandora into his arms. "We have to go!" 

"N–No!" Pandora's pupils shrunk sharply as he struggled in Lu Yizhou's hold. He could not take his attention off the bloody writing on the wall, his eyes bloodshot in morbid obsession. Something within him clamored that this was something 'he' had left behind with much difficulty, so he definitely could not miss it! "Just a little bit more! I only need a little more time!!"

Unfortunately, time was what they lacked the most. Gritting his teeth, Lu Yizhou murmured an apology and forcefully pulled Pandora away. They could not stay here any longer. They had to leave as soon as possible before the level collapsed and buried them whole!

The elevator light flickered on and off like a scene straight out of horror movies. Adding on to the dark passage and his wild imagination of the rampaging corpses, Percy was frightened out of his wits. In a moment of desperation, he leapt forward like an agile cheetah and hit the button to close the elevator, again and again. "W–We have to leave! NOW!!" 

The metal door started to slide close, but Lu Yizhou and Pandora were still inside the cage! They were not going to make it!

In the next second—

A hand shot out to slip between the metal door, preventing it from closing. "Fucking coward…" Christian gritted his teeth and forcibly yanked Percy's collar back, sending him flying to the opposite wall with a bang! He pressed the open button and glared at Percy coldly. "I hate Leonard's guts, but I hate your cowardice even more. If you don't want to die, then cease your annoying cries and shut your damn mouth!"

Christian's menacing threat succeeded to force Percy's protest down to his throat. He was so terrified that he could not even make a sound. Tears flooded his eyes as he huddled in the corner of the elevator and hugged his aching body. Christian had not held back on his strength. That one movement was enough to make Percy feel like he was going to puke out blood!

Fortunately, this little intermezzo was enough for Lu Yizhou to rush into the elevator, carrying an enraged and wild Pandora in his arms. He shot Christian a complicated look. Much to his surprise, this protagonist was not bad at all. Without him, the two of them might have been left behind to wait for their deaths!

"...Thank you," he relayed his gratitude politely. Lu Yizhou was not a person who would disregard someone's kindness, even if it was his enemy. Now that Christian had saved his and Pandora's life, then Lu Yizhou would owe him one.

Christian pressed the button to close the elevator and sneered coldly, "Shut it. It's very pathetic of you to die in this kind of place. You should wait until I come to kill you."

…And a little tsundere too, Lu Yizhou thought speechlessly.

The higher they went, the tremors became less and less noticeable until it subsided into mild vibration. They heaved out a sigh of relief at the same time. That was a close call… if they were to act a little bit slower, then the only choice forward would be death!

Relieved, Lu Yizhou could finally check on the angry kitten in his arms. 

"I'm sorry," he took the initiative to admit his mistake. He caressed Pandora's head to coax him not to be angry anymore. "You know it. We couldn't stay there any longer. I can't watch you be buried underneath, Pandora."

Pandora pursed his lips and the corner of his eyes were still red from unshed tears. When Lu Yizhou carried him into the elevator, he realized that it was not possible for him to return to that place again and his struggles immediately ceased. Now, he was just giving Lu Yizhou the cold shoulder. He knew that Lu Yizhou was doing it with his safety in mind, but… when he imagined how close he was to his goal, he just could not help but feel upset!

It was not like he wanted to get angry at Lu Yizhou either! However, the grievance and unwillingness made his chest feel stifled and he had nowhere to vent. So he could only stay mum and sulk by himself.

Lu Yizhou had been paying close attention to Pandora's micro expression and knew that the youth had come to his senses. Smiling, he gathered the entire person into his embrace and kissed his forehead. "It's okay, I will make it up for you later. What do you want me to do? You can say whatever you want…"

The two lovebirds were so engrossed in their own world that they forgot there were still two people in the elevator with them. 

Seeing how gentle and loving the mad cannibal was toward Pandora, extreme shock was reflected on Christian and Percy's face. They stared at Lu Yizhou as if the man had grown two heads. Was this still Leonard the Mad Cannibal they knew?!

Christian cleared his throat with a dark face. "So, this is really the famous Pandora? What are you planning to do now that you have brought him out of Z-level? You know that he is a dangerous entity, right?" Even though he said that, there was not a hint of fear in his eyes. In his opinion, Lu Yizhou was more powerful than the other, so what did he have to be afraid of?

Pandora was too lazy to deal with him and chose to lean his weight on Lu Yizhou like a boneless limpet instead.

Now that they were already out of crisis, Percy clenched his fists and mustered every drop of his courage to say, "Can you please… grant my wish!" Percy had no eyes for anything other than revenge. He had been struggling so desperately to live in this place simply because he wanted to see his enemies fall!

However, to his utter dismay, Lu Yizhou was the one who answered. His tone brooked no arguments. "No. He can't grant your wish."

Percy was so anxious that his eyes reddened. "Y–You're lying!"

"I am not," Lu Yizhou gave him a frosty look. "Because he has already promised to grant my wish. As for what I am going to do…" he glanced at Christian and the corner of his lips hooked into a calculating smirk. 

After their interaction these past few days, he came to a conclusion that… perhaps making this person his teammate would not be so bad. At least, Christian was the world's darling and his luck would naturally be good. Lu Yizhou, who had F-level luck and was the simulator's target for many hidden traps, simply needed this additional boost or else he had a hunch that he would not be able to make it out of 55's brain alive…

"Are you interested in breaking out of the prison?" He threw an offer to Christian.
