After Dr. Feng heard the full version of how Cyrus had always appeared together with Luan as if they were conjoined twins, he sank into deep contemplation and decided to shut himself off in the office.  0

Regarding Bianca, the head administrator had promised to build a robot body for her. As for what form she would take — Bianca said that she needed more time to consider. It would be the form she would use to stay by her Daddy and Mommy's side. Of course, she could not be careless!

Lu Yizhou could not help thinking about this strange event as he made his way back to Zeke's medical room. In his impression, Luan had always been a very quiet and taciturn guy. From the start, he had stayed by Cyrus' side, silently supporting and taking care of him. However, if he was not a virtual character created by Dr. Feng, then what was he and where did he come from?

Well, no matter who had sent Luan to their side, Lu Yizhou could not sense any malicious intent from him and so, he did not dwell too much on this matter.

Dr. Xiao was still on standby in the medical room once Lu Yizhou got there. "Hey, young man," she greeted with a big smile on her face. "Have you had the talk with your system yet?"

Lu Yizhou shook his head. "Not yet." He thought he would be able to talk to 666 after meeting Bianca, but then Dr. Feng suddenly looked unwell when he heard of Luan's existence for the first time. As such, Lu Yizhou tactfully excused himself and reckoned that he would return again another day. No matter what, he was already a part of this research institute. He could take his time slowly.

He shifted his gaze to the slumbering man. "How is he today?"

"Just like usual." Dr. Xiao glanced at the hologram screen in front of her and squinted her eyes. "No, it's even better than usual. I have said it before, but let me say it again. Thanks to you, he has been recovering very well. At this rate, maybe he will open his eyes before this month ends!"

Lu Yizhou simply nodded. He had no qualms about it. If Zeke were in a coma for one more year, then he would wait here for one year. As simple as that.

Dr. Xiao seldom met someone with whom he could talk about Zeke with. As such, she could not resist the gossipy mother instinct within her and started to ask about Zeke inside the simulator. Alas Lu Yizhou's answer was very curt, treating his words more expensive than gold. With every question Dr. Xiao asked, he would only either shake his head, nod, or give a 'yes', 'no', 'you're right', 'something like that'. 

…Exactly why did Zachary choose this person? Dr. Xiao found herself wondering after she had almost talked her mouth dry, yet Lu Yizhou was still as unruffled as ever. Was the child such a face-con? Was it because of this otherworldly male god aura?

However, this child was very pitiful too. His planet was ravaged, and he ended up returning as an assassin to enact revenge. It had not been easy for him… Dr. Xiao recalled something and asked, "That's right, have the Head Administrator assigned a place for you to live in? Or do you have a house in the Capital Planet?"

Lu Yizhou did not have much property on his name, just that little cabin that was several thousand light years away from where he was now. However, it was not like he would return there again, especially when Zeke was still unconscious. "No, why should I bother Dr. Feng with this kind of thing?" Lu Yizhou asked in a matter-of-fact tone.

Dr. Xiao was stunned. "Then…?"

"I will stay here," he said firmly. Looking around, Lu Yizhou found no suitable place to live in as the whole space was filled only with a large table, chairs and cabinet. Zeke's medical room was even more barren. Well, this would not pose a problem for him. As long as there was a horizontal surface, then Lu Yizhou would be able to take a rest anywhere. The thought of leaving the research institute had not even crossed his mind once.

However, Dr. Xiao clearly begged to differ. As a certified mother hen, she was shocked to hear Lu Yizhou's crude sleeping arrangement. One was the grandson of a former President, whereas the other was a former Crown Prince, so why the hell did they look poorer than her?! No, this could not be allowed!

Dr. Xiao had a few empty lodgings in the Capital Planet and she casually offered the nearest one to Lu Yizhou. Then she continued to nag ceaselessly. "You should go back and sleep in a proper bed. If Zachary wakes up and sees that we have treated you poorly, what would he think of us?!"

If there was one thing Lu Yizhou was weak toward, it would be this kind of unconditional kindness from a stranger. He knew that Dr. Xiao was just a kind and soft-hearted person who could not sit still and see others suffer, however Lu Yizhou was truly unused to getting such treatment for free. The notion of 'nothing comes for free in this world' had been deeply instilled into him since young, he could not change it so easily overnight.

In the end, he still decided to accept the key from Dr. Xiao, but he told her seriously, "I owe you one. In the future, if you need something, don't hesitate to come to me."

Dr. Xiao was amused by his antics and waved him off with a very nonchalant gesture.

After that, the former royal doctor had to set a visiting time to prevent Lu Yizhou from spending the night in the medical room. He would only be allowed entry from 7 am to 10 pm, otherwise he would be banned by the system. As such, Lu Yizhou started a new routine in his life. 

As soon as the hour hand of the clock struck 7 am, he would arrive at the research institute and ride the elevator to Zeke's medical room. Then, he would spend the whole day by the comatose young man's side. Lu Yizhou was not a talkative person to begin with and he would only sit quietly whilst gazing at his lover's sleeping face. If he had nothing better to do, then he would wipe Zeke's body down with a warm cloth and kiss his knuckles one by one.

Dr. Xiao would think that he looked very lonely this way and dragged him to learn many professional medical knowledge. During this timeframe, Dr. Xiao also got familiar with Bianca, who still remained indecisive as to what kind of form she wanted to have. 

Dr. Feng had tweaked the system so that Bianca could be allowed entry into Zeke's medical room. Everyday, the two women would talk about everything and nothing whilst Lu Yizhou was inside accompanying his lover. Unbeknownst to him, Dr. Xiao and Bianca hit it off with each other and almost became a pair of close sisters.

Lu Yizhou's life, which had always been full of bloodshed, violence and death, suddenly became very peaceful and serene for the very first time. He almost could not get used to it. Somehow, there was always an ill premonition creeping to the corner of his heart as if warning him that this would only be the calm before a very violent storm. Or perhaps… it could just be his paranoia talking.

This kind of peaceful routine continued until the maple trees outside the research institute withered and landed to the ground, and the Capital Planet ushered its first snow.

On the day of a heavy snow similar to three years ago when he first found his way to the research institute, Zeke finally regained consciousness.
