"Ehem!" Dr. Feng cleared his throat unabashedly, his gaze cold and merciless. "As happy as I am for the two of you, I hope you haven't forgotten that there is still someone else here."

They really forgot.

The pink bubbles surrounding the two lovebirds instantly burst apart by Dr. Feng's nasty remark. Zeke pouted his lips, unreconciled. He had not even gotten the chance to kiss Lu Yizhou yet, how could he be willing to let go?! He fixed his teary gaze at Lu Yizhou and pleaded pitifully, "Baby, what is he doing here? Can't you chase him out?"

Dr. Feng was so speechless that he almost laughed out loud. Did he need to remind them whose house this was? Did he need to remind them who had saved them from the brink of death? Or what kind of terrible fate would await them if not for him?!! The guts of this imbecile brat—!

"Behave." Lu Yizhou lightly flicked Zeke on the forehead, unable to contain the amused smile on his face. Turning to Dr. Feng, he tilted his head in apology. "I'm sorry for his willful behavior. I will teach him a lesson later."

Dr. Feng did not want to stay in this room for even one more second for fear that he would bear witness for another atrocious demeanor, for example an impromptu make-out session. Just imagining it had already made him nauseous! "I will give you fifteen minutes. We have a lot to talk about. Remember, fifteen minutes!" After throwing that one sentence, he immediately spun on his heels and slammed the door close behind him.

The Head Administrator was a man of his words and his sense of time was very exceptional as well. Within that fifteen minutes, he went to the kitchen to brew himself a cup of coffee, replied to Dr. Xiao's concerned inquiry that nooo, absolutely nothing happens at all. The things you're worrying about did not happen, and the two 'emergency patients' could not be more lively and vigorous!

Dr. Feng counted the time and when he saw that fifteen minutes had passed, he brought his coffee to the living room and placed it on the low table. Next, he went to knock on Zachary's bedroom door. "Fifteen minutes is over. Can I come in?"

There were a few seconds of silence before Lu Yizhou's voice drifted out, sounded a little rough and strained on the edges. "...Give us a minute."

"Okay," Dr. Feng agreed in a breezy tone as he strived to keep his mind pure of unholy distraction. He did not – let him repeat once again, he absolutely did not want to know what they were getting up to in there! If not because both of them were half crippled and there was no way they could support each other, he would not be willing to stand here either!

When the door finally opened three minutes later, Dr. Feng pretended not to notice the bleeding wound on Lu Yizhou's bottom lip, or how Zachary's entire body was so soft and boneless that he almost staggered when he supported him up. 

After those unforeseeable twists and turns, they finally gathered in the living room to discuss some important matters.

Lu Yizhou had his arm wrapped around Zachary's waist – who was leaning his whole weight onto him like a limpet – as he opened the conversation. "The fact that you can be here to talk to us, does it mean that the situation in the research institute has been brought under control?"

Smart. Dr. Feng liked to talk with smart people. It saved his precious breath to explain from the start. "That's right. The military is focused on tracking after the exploding crystal balls. They have no energy left to spare for both of you." He tapped on his terminal and a hologram screen appeared in front of them, displaying the headline news of terrorist attack that had occured in the research institute. It was the same news which Lu Yizhou was reading this morning. Dr. Feng gestured at it, "As you can see, they have decided to control the chaos to the minimum level by stating that it is a terrorist attack."

Lu Yizhou had indeed read the news this morning. Not only that, he had also scrolled through the comments and saw how the netizens had started to speculate whether this accident was connected to the royal assasination which had taken place three years ago. After all, it could be considered as one of the greatest unsolved mysteries in the Capital Planet. 

Until now, the military had not found the culprit responsible for the assasination and their prestige in the eye of the public had plunged into rock bottom. Actually, this matter could not be considered their fault either. Lu Yizhou had especially chosen a night of violent blizzard when the signal was totally jammed in order to prevent the royal family from sending calls of help. As a result, it was not until the blizzard subsided that they discovered what was left of the ruined Imperial Palace…

A special investigation team was hastily formed to hunt the culprit. But the strangest thing was, they could not find any leads about the main perpetrator whatsoever! It was as if a ghost had snuck into the Palace and left without a trace after doing the deed! And hence, netizens could not help but speculate whether this was a secret conspiracy concocted by various great powerhouses in the Capital Planet to topple the current monarchy.

Now that there were suspicions of how the two incidents might be related to each other, of course the military would want to focus all of their attention there to save their reputation from jeopardy.

"And then?" Lu Yizhou knew what his lover wanted to hear the most. Sensing Zeke's body tensing beside him, he slowly stroked his waist in an attempt to soothe. "What happened to the former Crown Prince? Is he still alive?"

The cannon he fired back then had landed right on target. If nothing went wrong, he was certain that the former Crown Prince's body would have already been reduced into dust, not even a single bone could be retrieved. It was just like what had happened to the people on his planet two decades ago. But Lu Yizhou still had some doubts. What if… what if that man had found a way to survive that? He found it hard to believe that a man who could go into hiding for three years would die so easily under his hands…

Dr. Feng let out a heavy sigh, took off his glasses and rubbed his face with a tired look. "He's still alive."

As expected… Lu Yizhou thought.

"In the critical moment, his subordinate pushed him into a life-saving capsule," Dr. Feng continued as he gazed at Zachary who kept a blank expression on his face. "With our current technology, it will not be difficult to restore his body to how it originally was. It may take a long time, but he will definitely survive. And now… he is being treated in the military hospital under tight supervision."
