Moreover, the Ge Family is the most prominent and powerful in China. The eldest of the Ge Family is a good friend of Fa Xiaodan's father. After Fa Xiaodan's father died, the elder came up with this marriage proposal and Fa Xiaodan couldn't say 'no' to him. She sat down on the wet floor and covered her face with her legs and hands.

When she felt empty inside, only then she stood up and turned off the shower. She dried herself and then dragged her tired body to bed. Her body felt heavy. After covering herself with a comforter, the swollen eyes finally closed.
