SUGAR MOMMY (PART 1)

"My husband," Xue Lin called out monotonously while looking at the lamp.

Ge Chen naturally responded, "My wife."

"I think I will become a sugar mommy," Xue Lin declared.

"You will what?!"

Ge Chen was beyond astonished. Even if thunder landed on him he wouldn't be this much perplexed. He couldn't process her words. 

However, Xue Lin didn't explain anything. The red wine she had and the tiredness of the whole day toiled her body. She fell asleep as soon as her head hit the pillow.

The next day, she went to the dentist and had her teeth checked-up. The dentist was convinced that she brushed her teeth before sleeping when he found no cavity.

After being released by the dentist, Xue Lin met with Ge Chen at the airport. His private plane was there to pick them up.

Ge Chen spent a sleepless night thanks to her. The dark circles under his eyes were seemingly visible. 

They were still kind of newlyweds. If his wife suddenly told him that she was going to become a sugar mummy, could he stay steady after that?

The plane took off. It headed to China.

Xue Lin finally took off her seat belt and relaxed. Ge Chen handed her a bottle of water.

"Thank you," she took the bottle and took a mouthful of water.

"Isn't there something you need to tell me?" Ge Chen finally opened his mouth about last night's topic.

With a mouthful of water, Xue Lin glanced at her husband. "Hmm?" She gave him a quizzical look. Gulping down the water, she asked, "Is there something I should tell you?"

"You said something last night. I hope you elaborate on it."

"I said something?" Xue Lin tried to remember. "What did I say?"

'Seriously?' Ge Chen calmly stared at her. His eyes were staring at her without a word.

However, no matter how he tried to give her a silent signal, she couldn't remember.

When he realized that she couldn't remember even though it was last night, he had no other choice.

"You said you were going to become a sugar mama."

"Oh. Hahaha! It sounds so weird when you say it with your mouth." Xue Lin laughed for some time.

"…"

"Don't take it too seriously. Although I will become a sugar mommy, I won't cheat on you."

"What are you planning?" Ge Chen tried to stay calm. 'I think I will go insane if I don't find out.'

"I'm planning to teach someone a good lesson. But before that, I need to meet an innocent girl who has suffered a lot."

Ge Chen thoughtfully asked, "Should I join you?"

"Do you not trust me?" Xue Lin asked him back in return. 'If you dare to keep an eye on me, I'll kick you out,' she told herself inwardly.

"I do trust you. But I noticed whenever I'm with you, I have lots of fun which I never had with my friends."

Ge Chen remembered her competition with Louis. Just thinking about that incident amused him. 

'Well, I can't blame him for having boring, classy friends.' Xue Lin couldn't argue. "Fair enough. I'll make you my butler. This way, you can serve me and stay close to me."

Ge Chen simply replied, "I like your plan already."

By the time they arrived in China, Xue Lin was exhausted. She was sleeping soundly and didn't realize that she was already back.

When the pilot came to inform them, Ge Chen signaled him not to talk. After that, he carried Xue Lin out of the plane. 

Xue Lin did not wake up until she reached the mansion. When she opened her eyes, she saw greenery.

'Hmm? Is the plane landing?' she wondered. She straightened her back and looked outside the window properly.

'Wait… isn't this the woods surrounding the mansion?' She looked at the window and realized that the window was larger than the plane window. 

She scanned her surroundings to confirm she was indeed inside the car. Ge Chen was sitting beside her.

Ge Chen noticed her movement from the corner of his eyes. He turned around and smiled. "Good morning."

Xue Lin rubbed the corner of her eyes with a tissue. "How long was I sleeping?"

"About seven hours," Ge Chen replied. "You can sleep more if you want."

"We are almost there. What's the point of sleeping more?" Xue Lin stretched her arms and then covered her mouth to yawn. 

She wasn't wrong. It took them five minutes to reach home.

Head Butler Ru Shan was there to welcome them. "Welcome back, Master, Mistress."

"Good to be back. How are you?" Xue Lin politely asked.

"We are excited to have you back, Mistress. I hope you had a pleasant journey." Head Butler Ru Shan smiled gently at his Mistress.

"Yes, I did." Xue Lin patted her stomach. "What's for dinner?"

Head Butler Ru Shan knew how big Xue Lin's appetite was. He announced, "Chef Hui has prepared a feast for you, Mistress."

"Perfect!" Xue Lin climbed the stairs quickly.

Ge Chen stared at her back and recalled what Professor Ivanov said a few days ago.

'Should I stop her from eating so much? I think I should let her eat the feast since she is looking forward to it,' he thought.

"Master, is everything all right?" Head Butler Ru Shan asked.

Ge Chen shortly replied, "No." 

"I called her 'Mistress' as you ordered. She didn't react," Head Butler Ru Shan mentioned worriedly.

Two days ago, Ge Chen called him to let them know about their return. He also ordered to call him 'Master' and Xue Lin 'Mistress'.

"But Young Master, is that all right…?" Head Butler Ru Shan hesitantly asked. 

Ge Chen replied, "This is fine. My wife doesn't approve of my father."

Head Butler Ru Shan stumbled. 'What does it mean? Did he mean Young Mistress doesn't Master, so he will be out of the family tree? Is that even possible?'

After ordering that, Ge Chen texted his secretary, "Let everyone know that Ge ChuanLi has been cast out of the Su Family. He has nothing to do with me either. Any benefits he and his family get because of my name should be banned."

Before Ge Chen and Xue Lin touched the land of China, Assistant Ming Yu spread this news throughout China.

Head Butler Ru Shan realized how serious his Young Master was. Thus, he didn't dare to disobey Ge Chen's order. He told everyone how to address their Young Master and Young Mistress.1

However, Xue Lin didn't express anything after hearing Head Butler address her as Mistress, not Young Mistress.

That worried the fifty-eight year old Head Butler.

"She is tired," Ge Chen replied before heading upstairs.

Xue Lin directly went to take shower. After that, she wiped her body and hair and dressed up. When he came out, she found her husband sitting on the couch.

She came out wearing a pink bathing robe. She looked refreshed. Her white jade skin had a light tint of red. Some of her wet strands covered her forehead. Her red lips were moist. 

He quietly stared at her in a daze before opening his mouth, "Good to be home, isn't it?"

Xue Lin replied, "…Good to be… back."

She couldn't say – yes, good to be home. She wanted to say it but it felt like something was stuck in her throat that she was unable to utter those two words.

She looked away and got busy wiping her hair.

Ge Chen gazed at her back for a minute before standing up. "I'm going to take shower. Don't start dinner without me."

Xue Lin replied without looking back, "…Hurry then. I'm starving."

'She took time to reply. Did she plan to start eating without me?' Ge Chen wondered. 'It's not impossible.'

He didn't waste time and took a quick bath. The moment he got out Xue Lin was ready to go downstairs.

She smirked when she saw him coming out in a hurry. She couldn't control herself from being amused. "I'll go down first."

"…" Ge Chen stared at her.

Head Butler Ru Shan wasn't lying when he said a feast was prepared for her. 

The huge dining table was filled with delicious Chinese dishes. The mouth-watering aroma filled the dining room.

Chef Hui saw Xue Lin enter the dining room. She broadly grinned at her. The corner of his lips touched her ears. "Mistress, welcome home. I've prepared the most delicious feast you can ever have in the whole world."

Xue Lin smiled. "I can't wait."

Chef Hui stared at Xue Lin. His expression changed. Two other maids who were standing beside him were also gazing at her. 

It was the first time they saw Xue Lin smile. She always stayed stoic. Her smile was like a bright moon in the new moon. 

The small-sized married woman looked rather beautiful with a smile on her face. 

Ge Chen entered the dining room and found three people in a daze.

"Everything's ready?" he asked.

Those three broke from the trance. Chef Hui hurriedly replied, "Y-yes! Yes!"

Ge Chen sat opposite Xue Lin. While their meals were being served, he asked, "What's your plan for tomorrow?"
