After recomposing herself, Li Zhiwei looked straight into Ye Tianxin's eyes.

"Tianxin, I am not a homewrecker. I have never thought of destroying someone else's marriage."

Ye Tianxin stood between Li Zhiwei and Yan Shanyue, protecting the latter. She could not help but bust out laughing. "Then what do you think a homewrecker looks like, Ms. Li? Must she be caught red-handed in bed to be called one? You know very well that Qie Wang is married. Have you ever kept your distance as a friend?"

"Tianxin, there are many things that you don't understand."

Li Zhiwei looked over Ye Tianxin and tried to catch the attention of Yan Shanyue.

"Shanyue, if you think that what I've done is wrong, please tell me. I can change. Don't take it out on Qie Wang. He did not do anything wrong. Ever since my brother left me, Qie Wang had been very good to me. I've always treated him like a big brother. I've never done anything beyond that. I'm sorry you always felt unhappy about it."

Yan Shanyue was glaring at Li Zhiwei and it made her feel even more uneasy.

"But now you and Qie Wang have divorced..."

"Some people have a seven-year itch. My marriage can also change after so many years. Li Zhiwei, I have nothing against you. Please do not embarrass yourself in public."

Li Zhiwei lowered her head, still sobbing.

She looked beautiful even when she was crying. Many hearts would have been stirred to see Li Zhiwei weeping so innocently if she were younger. However, she was older now. It was very awkward to watch a middle-aged woman acting so miserably.

"Shanyue, I'm sorry."

Li Zhiwei dashed out of the door after apologizing.

Yan Shanyue was walking out of the restaurant when she saw Li Zhiwei step out to the road with the cars cruising by. She rushed up to her and pushed her aside.

"Aunt Shanyue!"

By the time Ye Tianxin came out, she only saw Li Zhiwei being pushed to the side. Yan Shanyue was flung off the road by a car.

Ye Tianxin's heart skipped a beat. She took out her phone and called Li Qingcang.

"Qingcang, Aunt Shanyue just got into an accident!"

Li Zhiwei stared at Yan Shanyue. She was covered with blood.

"Aunt Shanyue, don't worry. You'll be alright. I've called the ambulance."

When Yan Shanyue saw that Li Zhiwei was going to take her life, she only had one thought in her mind. She could not let Li Zhiwei die in front of her.

If Li Zhiwei had died this way, Qie Wang would think that it was Yan Shanyue who drove her to her death.
