She was so despicable to pull someone down with her when she was going to die.2

The place where Chunxue was located was in the downtown commercial street.

Chunxue still had some brainless fans. When those brainless fans found out that their idol had done such a thing, they began to unfollow her. Likewise, the netizens spontaneously boycotted Chunxue.

Of course, Chunxue couldn't see any of this happening.

Meanwhile, Mingzhu knew it was the work of Ye Zhizhou when she saw Chunxue's death on the Internet.

Only Ye Zhizhou could be so cruel and presumptuous.

He didn't care what others thought, and only did what he wanted to do.

Mingzhu's pretty face had turned pale with fright. She called Qie Yiyan with her trembling hands.

"Brother, I'm scared," said Mingzhu.

Qie Yiyan frowned and asked, "What happened?"

"Chunxue is dead," answered Mingzhu.

Mingzhu said with a lonely and cold voice, "Ye Zhizhou killed her. Brother, he will kill me."

Mingzhu knew that those who betrayed the organization never ended well. She had forsaken darkness for her family's sake, but Ye Zhizhou saw it as an act of betrayal.

All traitors met a terrible end.

Qie Yiyan said, "He can't kill you."

Mingzhu and Yan Shanyue were now living in the family building of the military district. There was no way Ye Zhizhou's men could get in there.

Qie Yiyan said, "Mingzhu, don't imagine things."

Qie Yiyan's words didn't comfort her at all.

Mingzhu was still terrified. She said to Qie Yiyan on the phone, "Brother, I'd like to meet him."

Mingzhu was talking about Qie Wang, her biological father. She wanted to ask him why he couldn't protect his daughter.

Qie Yiyan said, "Okay, I'll pick you up."

Qie Yiyan personally sent Mingzhu to the ward where Qie Wang was located. Qie Wang was quietly sitting on the balcony in the ward and staring at the tall plane tree in front of him.

The plane tree was blooming with pink-purple flowers and looked very beautiful from a distance.

"Dad," Qie Yiyan called.

No matter what Qie Wang had done, he was Qie Yiyan's father. Qie Yiyan couldn't bring himself to abandon his father. He even used to buy Qie Wang some pastries that he liked to eat whenever he came. Qie Wang didn't move at all. It was as if he had not heard his name called.

Mingzhu walked in and turned on the TV. She wanted Qie Wang to watch the latest news. Mingzhu walked up to Qie Wang and forced him to watch. "I know you're not crazy. I know you can read the news."

Mingzhu's hands were shaking from the horror of Chunxue's death.

She had little doubt that if Ye Zhizhou wanted to, she would die the way Chunxue did.

However, she was not forgiven.

She could have been happy like everybody else. She could've had the love of her two brothers and her mother. She could've lived her life without so much fear.

Mingzhu said, "Qie Wang, I am your daughter."
